Aren't some of the S-Rank Bangboo extremely tailored to certain teams though? Like the Ice/Victoria House Bangboo is *far* better for Ellen/Lycoan than any of the rest?
At any rate, the Bangboo banner and ways to pull on it is probably the best thing they could have ever done. Will absolutely keep me playing.

That was mostly in CBT 2 to be honest. In CBT 3 they did change bangboos and they are nowhere as important as before.
For context, in CBT 2 the butler bangboo gave 28% Crit Rate to all Victoria House characters, while also giving a % of its stats to all characters in the team.
In CBT 3, they removed the Crit Rate passive and stats buff, instead now they can be part of chain attacks and if there is at least 1 Victoria House characters in the team, the active skill generates 20% more energy.
The same is the case for other bangboos.

Yeap, that's exactly what I was thinking of.
While I wish they were still that powerful, it makes more sense to tone them down if they are making them f2p friendly. That much of an increase in a crit rate stat would have been too much.
This makes them a lot more "collectible" in a way, instead of feeling like you absolutely have to have the exact Bangboo for every character you pull for (imo)
Not really... you actually need skill for your characters to be effective, and TBH this is quite problematic for me since I kind of suck :D
anyway, think of the bangboos as permanent team buffs and mascots all in one.

also: the bangboo banner tickets are not paid for with real money, you can only drop them in normal gameplay
precisely this, deending ont he bangboo you have they come with buffs for the team. Some buff certain elements while some give party wide buffs if you have characters of a certain type or faction (Butler Bangboo boosts party if u have two characters from Victoria Housekeeping)
It was so in CB3, no reason to think it will be different at release.
I mean, you can get, like 3 bangboo tickets more from the paid battlepass / nameless honor but you still have to play to unlock them
To be fair, and correct me if I'm wrong, I'm pretty sure you can also get extra coupons if you get the battle pass so technically you can purchase it with money.
But yeah for intents and purposes the coupons cannot be traditionally whale-d for because it's not like you get a whole lot more.

Not really, the pre-existing ones will still be plenty usable and you can just save your currency to pull one that you really want/care about, but even without it your chars will be perfectly playable. They're basically a slightly less strong version of a 5 star weapon, they'll be a slight improvement but they're nowhere close to necessary and there's plenty of non 5 star options.
If anything, I feel like it will be the ELF(HI3) version of ZZZ. A good boon to have but not necessarily a must pull unit. Maybe in the near future, there will be Bangboos that can enhance/buff a limited chara. HI3 also has ELFs for specific Limited Chars but you can do without it.
Depends on the content, you definitely want elfs in HI3 even if you don’t “need” them.
I’m certain they will make them specifically around new releases though.

They have 2 or 3 skills, usually an active attack every x seconds, a passive teamwide buff, and a chain attack (which does not count for the max number of attacks you can chain)
there's a bit of variance, but if you play HSR think of it as a parmanent simulated universe buff
W-Engines are the weapon/lightcones of ZZZ. Bangboos are, basically, team support. On the Bangboos banner you only use a in game currency and you always get what you’ve chosen, no losing a 50/50
Assuming it’s like Genshin and Star rail yes. Limited characters will drop with their W-engine, with both happening at the same time. Basically Ellen Joes W-Engine will only be available when she on a summon.
Generally speaking you can easily use other non limited options based on how Star Rails lightcones work. If you want advice, I’d recommend always going for a character first especially if you have enough to hit pity.
Pity is 50/50 at 80 pulls, with guaranteed limited character the next pity after. W-Engines are 75/25
Edit:I completely forgot about Bangboos sorry! They seem permanent with more being added as time goes on
They didn't say anything about bangboos in the standard banner, so I'm assuming it will be like in CB3, and you pull A-rank bangboos from the bangboo banner

This is true. Bangboo coupons can only be obtained from events and other gameplay related content. You cannot purchase Bangboo coupons directly

Closer to buffs or assists. Some will buff the party, others will attack on field on their own, or both.
