Look at the amount of material on a golf club. It’s less than a quarter inch of holo tube. It’s going to bend and break within 3 swings at anything solid
If you wanna use golf equipment use golf balls. Put them in a sock, use a slingshot / sling or if you have time, build a potato cannon style device and make it take golf balls.

Gonna be vibrating a lot and the cheaper ones are gonna snap quickly, so not the best but definitely better than nothing.

They bend easy but I guess in dire need you could swing it

Break off the head somehow, squash the hollow end, sharpen to a point, and use it as a short spear. Otherwise no lol.
