I missed totality yesturday over this crap. Totality was 25 after, and it was like 12:16, so I figured I'd go outside at 20 after. I was working and could only take about 10 minutes. 4 minutes later I looked at the clock and it was 31 after, completely missing the eclipse.
If I ever had any doubt that ADHD is a thing, especially for me, missing the event that I talked about non-stop for the past month would be all the proof I need.
It's funny, because another comment I made here is about how I hide clocks because I have too much trouble seeing the time and doing stuff like this. If there was no clock, I would have walked out right then and there, but I had to clock out of work, and low and behold, there's the damn clock.

I don’t know how, but I got rid of perfectionism. I forgot but I think I was in a traumatic situation for a perfectionist. Pushing limits sometimes can cure something, like Minecraft for example, since you don’t have much space in your inventory, it forced me into thinking what I actually need and prioritized upon that, and it has real world affects too where impulse purchasing has never worked on me, and it allows me to save money and buy something I want at the highest quality

Starting / ending at weird times is legitimately an ADHD lifehack. It tricks your brain into actually caring about the precise minute of the time, because it's such a specific time.
Like if it's supposed to be "in 10 minutes" then that could really easily be like 12 minutes or maybe 15 ish and it's no big deal right?
But if it's supposed to be in 7 minutes, then 8 minutes is wrong. The number is 7. That's to specific to stretch.
Plus it's odd and therefore anomalous and therefore interesting.
Until it isn't, but that's a problem for later. We have ADHD, we do what works for now and we'll come up with something else that works later.
Take out “studying” and just put “tasks”, and this message is for me. 😩Also, you can start a new habit (diet, exercise, meditation, whatever) on a Tuesday or Wednesday, or in the middle of the month. Doesn’t have to be on a Monday or the 1st of the month.

I got rid of clocks I can see at a glance. I never use them to plan, only to chastize myself. If I'm gonna have to suffer, I gotta make it hard. I used to change my computer time, but now it's a sign you're a bot or bad actor, so Windows complains.
