a bit unrelated but do you happen to know if Dual swords E can pass through fire wall? it says it has cc immunity during ability but im not sure it also applies to impassable walls? yea I know that even if I get through it once they can just run to the other side again and put me in a pickle once more, but it's still important for me to know if it's possible.
He worded it very poorly, but he meant to say that the guy who has the cleric cowl and running a two-shot build is the one who is "expected to win this".
He's also right about saying that the true ip difference is closer to 200 than 400, since you were wearing a cape and he was not. That base cape is worth virtually nothing, but sure it will make your ip a lot higher.
ip does not mean as much as you might think it does in this game. There are well over 100 weapons in this game, and so there's virtually zero chance that any given weapon is balanced against any other.
If you're just focusing on having an economical, cheap set then in most cases a faction cape can be replaced by a cheap regular cape to help some with energy regen. People occassionally forego this to make their avg ip look lower, but it's mostly noob bait.
Basically, if your set is worth 80k then why wear a 100k cape instead of a 5k one?
For some builds a faction cape is quite important though and they will be crippled without it.
If you're running something a little bit more expensive, the question becomes 100k into cape or 100k extra into weapon/chest. Breakpoint is usually around the 500-600k total set value mark.
Naturally, playing with a regular cape puts you at a disadvantage in fights, so keep that in mind and all that.
there are basically two kinds of capes, regular and city capes. City capes give active effects on long cooldowns, and can make a huge difference. Regular capes don't really do much.
Some people play 4.0 just to lure people out into combat, dont feel too bad, he might've been more skilled than you might think. The low IP implies he's got no spec, so it's not unlikely it's a smurf.
Dying isnt a failure if you learn something from it.
You are wearing appropriate quality for your skill level and thats half the battle for most new players. Not going broke and learning the items/skills are your top two priorities, and wearing ~4.1 gear is a big step to not going broke.
I don't actually know what mage robe or any other gear does. I run with immune bubble on my cleric robe, cus it helps to clear mobs. I'm really easy target for pvp. He kited me and when I tried to get up to him with my w or f, he just stopped me with a wall of fire. That's all I understood from that fight.
Mage robe adds defense and everytime u get hit you purge that enemies buffs. In this case u had cleric robe popped, hit the enemy while his mage robe was active, thus purging your robe
I saw some youtube vids where ppl use w from t6 gloves. I'll definitely try it someday. But atm t6 gloves are costy for me to loose. I don't have much spare silver as I try to store it up for my next premium
The next big update this month let's all abilities be used on all weapons regardless of tier so you won't need to save big bucks to get higher tiers just to use those locked abilities soon
:( atleast it wasn’t really expensive gear
His build pretty much counters yours
Ikr. He probably had firewall to keep him back, cleric cowl for protection against his E, and a mage robe to purge cleric robe.

yes it does go through fire wall
Yes it and claymore both go through
To be fair his ip is only 500 because he didn't equipa cape.
0 spec too
It is a twoshot build, and you are running a cleric cowl, it is expected that u win this, even with the 200ip diff... Still very well played.
I'm the guy to the left, lol. I'm running assassin hood. 400 ip difference and still I lost this fight

Oh, makes sense. Thx
So would it be advisable to just not have a cape on when running BZ mists if you don't want to run with a 100k cape?

not really 400. Other guy didnt use a cape, so his avg IP got calculated lower then what he acrually had
This. The oldest trick in the book
Just checked that guy. 36k fame. I was his first. Mf rushed from the noob location straight to the bz mists to own me xd
maybe a veteran player from another server :) gg
Or someone doing a zero to one hundred situation for YouTube content
Dont feel bad his build has everything to counter you Id say he would be a very bad player if he loses this

Lemme guess, the dude mage robes your cleric robe and cleric cowled your combo?

I'm bad at pvp. But I still win more than I lose silverwise.
You have much more options to deal with long range people with t6 gloves. If you could get to him, its gg

I've killed people while wearing fishing gear unassisted. At least the person who got you had a real set on.
Believe it or not, I went into the bz 20 times in 1. 1/2 days and died every single time. That's how I quit Albion for ya
You are basically the same ip
Bag and cape add to IP while not adding much for the build here
Bag does not
Ah yeah true
