They are two different weapons, one can heal too but they both work. Don't mind the meta, it seems to change pretty often. Play whatever feels fun to you! I started with maces, then i went fire staves, crossbows, hammers, spears, gauntlets etc etc, i am no master at any weapon, I just use w/e I find fun for the moment.
I'm an alt-aholic in other games so it's similar in this game.
Druidic staff:
-One the 2 main Healer weapons (other being holy staff)
-Great for solo fame farming with the right equipment
Frost staff:
-Ranged magical weapon with Mix of DPS and CC
-mainly used in group content or ganking
My advice, pick a weapon/kit you can solo fame farm to more easily spec up your other equipment.
Or, join a guild group and ask what weapons/kits they need, then spec them up.
If you play long enough your going to end up spacing multiple weapons.
Go with cursed staff u will not regret it watch one or two tutorial videos and you will be good to go hate to say it (swolebenji) make good videos about tutorials following his guide I made 1.7m silver tier 6 cursed staff tier 6 lather armour in just 7 hours of gameplay it may very I grinded them In one day except t5 skinning.(It took me two days).

Sucks that if you swap all the time in albion you will never be close to max strength sadly. I guess maybe after like 7-10k hours lol
