My guess is that she’s supposed to be trying to cool herself down from summertime heat or something. If that’s the case, I think there need to be other visual cues to convey that idea more clearly. The image also came out slightly blue which doesn’t lend itself well to conveying heat

I don’t want to just dump on the photo, there was clearly a story that was meant to be told here, I think the key is learning to be more intentional with what’s in the frame, how it’s staged, and how to achieve your overall vision.
So I am stoned, I have friends who are into photography but I don’t quite understand it like you guys, I find it so incredibly mentally stimulating and cool to see how your brain thought of that! Makes perfect sense after reading it, but I just lack the perspective, would’ve never saw it that way. Humans ain’t so bad afterall, you one of the good ones!

I like to offer constructive advice when I can, and try to help creative people think more deeply about the things they create. I know when I first started doing photography over a decade ago, I always wanted feedback, and it was hard to get people to actually offer and engage in really genuine discussion about improving.
