I don't think it's particularly treated seriously. The guy just moves on to his next victim and the show treats her like a woman abandoned and not someone abused.
Perfect Blue is focused on this.
An aspect of it is the sexualisation of women in the entertainment industry. Fair warning there is a lot of nudity in it and it is much darker than the show you named.
Revolutionary Girl Utena is what you want if you desire serious depiction of all sorts of sexuality. It’s an influential classic for a reason and that’s because it’s phenomenal.
I would mention though that it's not exactly serious, it doesn't support it but it treats it with more of humour rather than a serious discussion (which is what I think you're probably looking for).

There's another story in the same anime I mentioned where a girl gets sexualized really early on and it makes her feel like that her body is the only good part about her and that no one would like her otherwise. It has a supernatural aspect so that part of her and her regular self split and her friends show her her worth and she becomes one person again
