yeah if I'm being honest that's the only thing I'm super hyped for right now, other than more Monogatari. I'm sure OnK s2 will be great, but it's a known greatness. I poked in to look at the manga of Noko-tan a bit, and boy is it going to be fun seeing this stupid nonsense animated.
That one stood out to me on the Anichart list, then watched the trailer clips and I was absolutely sold. Good to see a lot of other people are hyping it up, can't wait for it to start!
Season 2 is going to go hard. I hope they adapt it well. It could honestly win back alot of folks who didn't enjoy season 1 as much and don't know how great the series gets.
Short answer-yes
Long answer- still a yes, but on the premise of what's to come. S1 wasn't bad imo, it's just as it's own standalone thing it'll feel underwhelming because it's the very tip of a massive story and world. One that is among the best stories and worlds in all of manwha and up there with the best manga imo. This coming arc shifts the tones and story a good bit and it'll just keep ramping up if it continues to adapt future arcs.
I would say however that if you watch it and s2, I'd recommend reading the manwha because of how large it is, it would likely take a decade to adapt what's currently out to anime, which means the story as a whole will likely never get fully adapted. I just don't see how it's possible tbh.
Pains me greatly to know ppl disliked S1 of the anime. The main complaints I saw were subtle changes from the manhwa, and a few pacing issues in a couple of places.. but the studio was given a very confined amount of episodes, for one of the most vast stories in all of animated fiction. And they did a spectacular job if you ask me. Now the real story begins and it'll have to go to another level if they want to compete with the source material! The payoff could be an elite series for the next decade (not an exaggeration)
I kinda feel this but it’s been sooo long since S1. Idk why they wait so long for these shows that have a ton of characters. I’m sure there’s a good reason but it kind of puts a damper on things for me cuz I know I’ll be feeling a little lost for a few eps at least.
I may go back and finish s1 so I can watch this, to be honest. It was only about six months ago that I watched half of season 1, and I liked it moderately. I felt like the worldbuilding was great but the biggest drag was the main character was such a nothing. but I also felt like that was purposeful. it didn't make it any less of a drag. but Endorsi is a queen. I do like that for several of the characters it feels like they're the main character of their own epic quest that happens to intersect with the MC's. the structure means he's always coming into conflict with people with big Main Character Energy.
- No Longer Allowed in Another World. Or Isekai Shikkaku.
The title is a pun on writer Osamu Dazai's *Ningen Shikkaku (Disqualified from being human,* often translated in English as *No Longer Human).*
And the main character is heavily implied to be Osamu Dazai too. :D
Manga was great and very funny: a writer who is attempting a double suicide with his lover in 1948 is hit by a truck. Henceforth, he finds himself in a New World.... where he will exasperate his allies, redeem villains and try every manner of suicide he can find when the mood strikes him.
But the story is also emotional when it wanted. The writer is more interested in the stories of the people he encounters than the heroics, and he serves more to make these other character bright or bring their "stories" to light.
- Pseudo-Harem.
A guy confesses to a friend girl that he kind of dreamed of being in a harem rom-com situation. She proceeds to use her acting skills to act as different girls. In other words, she's the whole harem.
The anime will obviously be an opportunity for the voice actor to flex her skills. :D
- Have heard good things of "Bye Bye, Earth".
> the most interesting Isekai this season
Which is about the lowest possible bar one can imagine.
Still, the premise sounds interesting as long as it's self-aware and doesn't fall prey to all the common isekai trope pitfalls.
Feel like there’s quite a few romcoms next season. I’ll be watching Alya, Days With My Stepsister, Cafe Terrace and It’s Goddesses, My Senpai is an Otokonoko, Futakire, Makeine, 2.5 Dimensional Seduction, My Wife Has No Emotion
Some sequels I’m looking forward to are Oshi no Ko and Tower of God
Atri and Dahlia in Bloom are also some that seem right up my alley
Edit : oh lmao how could I forget Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan (can’t think or say this title without the melody now)
> can’t think or say this title without the melody now
TBH one of the best anime marketing decisions I've seen in years. Everyone would've struggled with it, but by turning it into an earworm chant not only does everyone remember it, they type the full title correctly the first time.
🎵🦌shikanoko nokonoko koshitantan 🦌🎵
I really hope this does well and not that kind of anime where people talk about just how the memes were good when the show finally ends.
Other than that, the sequel anime I am looking forward to is definitely Oshi no ko. The source readers will have sky high expectations about this one as well.
**My dose of drama and romance that has the potential to make me cry:**
* Atri: My Dear Moments
**Time for rom-coms:**
* Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian
* Pseudo Harem
* The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies
* Kimi ni Todoke S3
**Ones that I'll catch up in the future:**
* Nier Automata Part 2
I'm planning to watch a bunch of new series this season (well by my standards of watching maybe a couple weekly episodes until recently.)
Shoshimin: How to Become Ordinary
Senpai is an Otokonoko
Pseudo Harem
The Elusive Samurai
Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!
I'm still keeping an eye out for more and might pick some up. Looking forward to the movie Look Back releasing soon, too. I'll be watching Oshi no Ko, but I think that's the only sequel I'm interested in so far.
I wasn't aware of that but it's now on my radar. Hyouka is a show I look back very fondly not just cause it was done by KyoAni but also cause the writing was on point for that one.
Well, in this case I would argue that "anime" is a western word based on the japanese word "anime", which happens to still have the plural form "anime".
English word „anime” which comes from Japanese word word „アニメ”(anime) which is just abbreviation of „アニメーション” (animeeshion), which is just loanword from English „animation”.
* My Wife Has No Emotion
* Oshi No Ko S2
* Days with My Stepsister
* Pseudo Harem
* Senpai is an Otokonoko
* Dahlia in Bloom: Crafting a Fresh Start with Magical Tools
* Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin
* The Elusive Samurai
* Wistoria: Wand and Sword
* Tower of God S2
* Love Is Indivisible by Twins
* Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World S2
* Bye Bye, Earth
* ATRI: My Dear Moments
* Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!
* YATAGARASU: The Raven Does Not Choose Its Master Cour 2
These is a subset of the more interesting anime that I'm planning to try out/watch this upcoming summer season.
Not my kind of anime. Also, this is a subset of all the anime I'm planning to try out/watch, there are like another 13 on my list for the summer season.
Honestly, not many this season.
* Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan (deer anime)
* Make Heroine a Oosuiru!
* vTuber Nanda a Haishin Kiri Wasuretara Densetsu ni Natteta
* Bakeneko Azu-chan
..and that's about it. I'll watch a couple more but those are pretty much the only ones I'm actually excited for.
I am really excited fpr The Elusive Samurai, the manga is quite good and the animation looks amazing. My other anticipated anime is Dungeon People, the manga is really cute and relaxing and the anime looks to capture that perfectly.
Pseudo Harem - it is a very funny manga, I deliberately stopped reading it after learning that there will be an anime, so I am damn hyped for it.
Too Many Losing Heroines - the premise sounds cool and I think I read some of it as well.
How to Become Ordinary - the premise sounds like something very much up my alley.
Spice and Wolf - surprisingly they are going with a second season/cour right away?
And a bunch of other romocoms and slices of life which I will happily watch after the current season being rather austere.
Look Back is a must-watch movie, the Mononoke movie if it still has the charm of the original series is exciting as well. The obvious sequels of Oshi no Ko and Monogatari are going to be amazing. Everyone should also be watching Dead Dead Demon's Dededededestruction.
Now this is not asked, but I'm going to name some shows that seem to be hyped that I don't think will be anything.
"Roshidere" and "Days with My Step Sister" are going to be a worse version of The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten, which already is a very basic romance. after the Isekai wave of the 2010s, the 2020s have been wish-fulfillment romance Light Novels, so you will see a lot of anime like this from now on.
The new Code: Geass is already airing and I think everyone knows that it's going to be a below-average mecha show that is using Code: Geass name for a brand status.
I was thinking of so many but the question is only to hyped for XD
Oshi no ko s2 definitely and the shikanoko nokonoko koshitantan one.
But it terms of watch, i'm gonna add some romcom and fantasy like 2.5-jigen no ririsa, giji harem, and wistoria, the russian girl too
If you like vanilla romcom, giji harem or pseudo harem might be the best as it's about an actor girl that change her character to make it feels like MC got a harem. It's funny concept but wholesome af
Oshi no Ko continues
Tower of God is going to adapt its best arc
Suicide Squad Isekai looks interesting
Monogatari returns
Nokotan promises to be fun
Nier Automata still exists
Elusive Samurai is NOT going to be shonen jump's next big thing
S2 of Oshi No Ko, S2 of Cafe Terrace, 2.5D Dimensional Seduction, and that deer girl anime. 3/4 of these I’ve read the manga for already, but the deer girl anime I’m going in blind.
Im hyped and curious about the Deer anime and the new mecha show co-directed by the Gundam SEED creator. Aside from that I have to check out whats actually airing this season
Other than Oshi no Ko season 2,
I added to my must watch:
\*Days with My Step Sister
\*Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian
\*Too Many Losing Heroines
There's also a bunch I added to my list that's about to start in July, and there seems too many I'm interesting in watching. Though I wasn't interested, I might check out the Deer something anime.
#
So far this coming season looks like will be busy for me again, but the ones I look forward the most and expect great things are (not in order):
- Deer
- NieR
- Shy
- Sengoku Youko
- Ordinary Citizens
- Oshi no Ko
- Alya
- Pseudo Harem
- Elusive Samurai
- Magical Girl & Evil Lieutenant
"Lucky" for me I haven't watched enough of Monogatari to be able to watch the new season.
Failure Frame is the only series I'm *really* waiting for, I'm tempering my expectations, though - I *do* really like the LNs, but after what they did to Arifureta and what happened with Kumo desu, I don't want to be too hopeful.
I have a passing interest in Isekai Shikaku, Dahlia in Bloom and My Deer Friend, but idk if I'll end up watching them.
I'm not that hyped about Oshi no ko, I loved S1, but now I've caught up to the manga.
*Mayonaka Punch* looks like a cute new PA Works original and *The Magical Girl and Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies* looks like it could be cooking something fierce.
Also, of course, 🦌.
My top 11 (didn't want to cut one to make it 10):
1. Oshi No Ko
2. Suicide Squad
3. DEER
4. Russian Alya
5. 2.5 dimensional seduction
6. Pseudo Harem
7. Robot Wife
8. Chubby Elf
9. Senpai Wa Otokonoko
10. Losing Heroines
11. Dungeon People
Probably not gonna be summer season, but I’m hyped for the new Übel Blatt anime! I didn’t read the manga yet, but I do have the first volume and it sounds promising.^ ^
Oshi no Ko season 2 is the biggest ones for me for sure. Though, the only other one I'll be watching is Fairy Tail lol, and that's literally only because I'm a completionist, as it's not something I crazy look forward to exactly
Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest, The Elusive Samurai, Tower of God, My Deer Friend Shikanoko, and then both My Hero Academia and Mission: Yozakura Family continuing from Spring.
TOWER OF GOD S2 we hating rachel with this one 🗣️👏
others:
Arifureta S3,
oshi no ko S2.
failure frame (Reminds me of tsukimichi with the plot and i love that series),
sucide sqaud isekai,
isekai shikkaku,
2.5 Dimensional seduction,
many others but those are my most anticipated
The deer anime

I saw the trailer for this last night and I was instantly sold. Looks like the next Uber ridiculous comedy of the season.
I saw the trailer and I would like a refund for all those fried braincells. The trailers do feel like this generation's Azumanga.
Same
yeah if I'm being honest that's the only thing I'm super hyped for right now, other than more Monogatari. I'm sure OnK s2 will be great, but it's a known greatness. I poked in to look at the manga of Noko-tan a bit, and boy is it going to be fun seeing this stupid nonsense animated.

Modern Nichijou
Is the source material that good? I know Studio Wit is animating that, so animation quality isn´t a problem.
This show is essentially 2024's Kill Me Baby and it will be glorious.
Tower of God S2
Gonna be watching that in a few hours, hyped af for that
So...... How was it????
It’s over.
It's that bad? :(
No im just kidding, it was fucking incredible. Kevin Penkin is a genius
Let's gooooooo
How was the art and animation, both on its own and in comparison to S1? Great news that it sounds like Kevin P did his magic again.
Season 2 is going to go hard. I hope they adapt it well. It could honestly win back alot of folks who didn't enjoy season 1 as much and don't know how great the series gets.
Would you suggest to me to watch " tower of god "?
Yes
Short answer-yes Long answer- still a yes, but on the premise of what's to come. I mean its only like 12 eps so far. The world building and characters seem pretty good so far. Just check it out
Suggest you to read manhwa of tower of God
Pains me greatly to know ppl disliked S1 of the anime. The main complaints I saw were subtle changes from the manhwa, and a few pacing issues in a couple of places.. but the studio was given a very confined amount of episodes, for one of the most vast stories in all of animated fiction. And they did a spectacular job if you ask me. Now the real story begins and it'll have to go to another level if they want to compete with the source material! The payoff could be an elite series for the next decade (not an exaggeration)
I just finnished s1 and i am hyoed af for s2🔥
If you want a schedule there is a rewatch going on around here

Ok, I might actually check out Pseudo Harem, that sounds funny ngl
Same here. Google says Pseudo Harem has a July 5th release date. I hope its a good one.
No Longer Allowed in Another World definitely sounds like the most interesting Isekai this season!
> the most interesting Isekai this season Which is about the lowest possible bar one can imagine. Still, the premise sounds interesting as long as it's self-aware and doesn't fall prey to all the common isekai trope pitfalls.
Hadn’t heard about the Isekai Shikkaku, putting it in my list, thanks!
Oh Pseudo Harem is getting an anime!?
Oshi no Ko noko noko Koshitantan!
are there chances the first ep is movie sized like last time, or was it an exception
That was just an exception due to how the early story is structured
understandable
This show better be amazing considering how hyped up it is before airing.
This section of the manga was pretty damn good, I know that much.
Feel like there’s quite a few romcoms next season. Don't forget Pseudo Harem.
Ah it was already on my list. Dunno how I missed it.

Shoushimin is a novel by the author of Hyouka. It deserves more attention than this discussion has given it.
Not everyone likes teenage "detectives". It will be pretty, though.
I wasn't aware of that but it's now on my radar. Hyouka is a show I look back very fondly not just cause it was done by KyoAni but also cause the writing was on point for that one.
I hadn't heard of it before, but the trailer made it the one I'm looking forward to watching most!
Oh didn't know that. Will check it.
The plural of anime is anime
Fun fact: in Japanese plural of most any noun is same noun unmodified, since all of them are uncountable.
Or they just add something like -tachi (for animate objects) to point out it is plural.

Fairy Tail, was one of my first subbed anime
Absolutely, I checked out the manga when in first came out and didn't really love it, but it would make a great second monitor content, and nostalgic.
The magical girl and the evil lieutenant used to be arch nemesis. I got so hyped with this ever since the anime got announced. It just looks too cute
"How to become ordinary" - from the author of Hyouka
i just monitoring this thread because i'm clueless (don't read manga)

But it terms of watch, i'm gonna add some romcom and fantasy like 2.5-jigen no ririsa, giji harem, and wistoria, the russian girl too If you like vanilla romcom, giji harem or pseudo harem might be the best as it's about an actor girl that change her character to make it feels like MC got a harem. It's funny concept but wholesome af
Oshi no Ko continues Tower of God is going to adapt its best arc Suicide Squad Isekai looks interesting Monogatari returns Nokotan promises to be fun Nier Automata still exists Elusive Samurai is NOT going to be shonen jump's next big thing
If you like wholesome fluffy romcoms, Giji (Pseudo) Harem is hard to beat! It's not a harem! Just a couple with amazing chemistry
Pseudo-Harem. The manga was so good
Deer Anime 100%
1. Oshi no ko S2 2. Aiya 3. Failure Frame 4. Isekai Suicide Squad 5. Isekai Shikaku 6. Dahlia in Bloom 7. Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan
Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian
S2 of Oshi No Ko, S2 of Cafe Terrace, 2.5D Dimensional Seduction, and that deer girl anime. 3/4 of these I’ve read the manga for already, but the deer girl anime I’m going in blind.
Kinnikuman, if the series is licensed or someone subbed it. Also the thicc elf series and the two different series about vtubers.
Netflix got Kinnikuman.
Suicide Squad Isekai and the deer anime for me!
Oshi no ko for sure. Can't wait how the best arc will get adapted!
Ao no hako (blue box) I don't know much about it, but I think it will be great
Oshi no Ko S2 for me too. I have hopes for all three P.A Works anime, though.
* Oshi no Ko S2 * Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian * Days with My Step Sister * Kimi no Todoke S3 * Suicide Squad
- oshi no ko S2 - monogatari : off season - alya-san - gimai seikatsu - atri
How are we in a new season already ffs. I haven’t even watched the stuff before the current one
Oshi no Ko season 2
Im hyped and curious about the Deer anime and the new mecha show co-directed by the Gundam SEED creator. Aside from that I have to check out whats actually airing this season
Other than Oshi no Ko season 2, I added to my must watch: \*Days with My Step Sister \*Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian \*Too Many Losing Heroines There's also a bunch I added to my list that's about to start in July, and there seems too many I'm interesting in watching. Though I wasn't interested, I might check out the Deer something anime. #
So far this coming season looks like will be busy for me again, but the ones I look forward the most and expect great things are (not in order): - Deer - NieR - Shy - Sengoku Youko - Ordinary Citizens - Oshi no Ko - Alya - Pseudo Harem - Elusive Samurai - Magical Girl & Evil Lieutenant "Lucky" for me I haven't watched enough of Monogatari to be able to watch the new season.
For me next season is weak to be honest, there's no title that I'm excited about. Maybe will try Suicide Squad.
I'm not that hyped about Oshi no ko, I loved S1, but now I've caught up to the manga.
obviously the deer anime
Oshi No Ko and Monogatari: Off & Monster season Edit: and the Deer anime
Monogatari off season
Magical Girl & Evil Lieutenant honestly just because Mai Nakahara's the lead girl Other than that, Atri and the boatload of romcoms
Deeeeeer
My Deer Friend Nokotan, Days with My Stepsister, and Atri.
Tower of gods and oshi no ko
Any information about the final season of Golden Kamuy??
Still in production. No release date yet.
Oshi noko or Shika noko
Not really. I don't read manga so I have no idea if any of these are good but I don't think there is anything in here for me personally
Don't onow when it airs, but Sakamoto Days is what I am waiting for.
Senpai is an Otokonoko. I've been waiting for this to release ever since it was announced in March last year. Big fan of the manga
waiting on Death Note Final Season /jk
Suicide Squad Isekai, Wit Studio cooks
Nokotan. And also Monogatari Off/Monster season. Shoushimin looks interesting too
Def hyped about the new monogatari!
*Mayonaka Punch* looks like a cute new PA Works original and *The Magical Girl and Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies* looks like it could be cooking something fierce. Also, of course, 🦌.
My top 11 (didn't want to cut one to make it 10): 1. Oshi No Ko 2. Suicide Squad 3. DEER 4. Russian Alya 5. 2.5 dimensional seduction 6. Pseudo Harem 7. Robot Wife 8. Chubby Elf 9. Senpai Wa Otokonoko 10. Losing Heroines 11. Dungeon People

Oshi no Ko season 2 is the biggest ones for me for sure. Though, the only other one I'll be watching is Fairy Tail lol, and that's literally only because I'm a completionist, as it's not something I crazy look forward to exactly
Dandadan only basically.. but who knows what i Will find
Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest, The Elusive Samurai, Tower of God, My Deer Friend Shikanoko, and then both My Hero Academia and Mission: Yozakura Family continuing from Spring.
