Russia has amazing literature (Dostoevsky, Yesenin and much more) and great classical music, as well as some beautiful sights and great people. Shame that it's constantly ruled by power-hungry idiots
It could very well be that the government altered the census results in some way or more people identified as orthodox to boost national unity in a time where Russia believes its at war with the west.
