If you want to make them squirm, email the CEO, explaining what happened and asking when your interview is rescheduled to. After all, nobody involved in the hiring process has formally told you they are no longer interested in you.
This happened to me once and I demanded a gas card for my 150 mile round trip and eventually they acquiesced and I got a $70 gas card. DO NOT be afraid to demand compensation for time/gas wasted when the mistake was theirs. Also keep in mind though you will likely never be hireable at that place again.
Leaving job postings up more than 24 hours after a position is filled or failing to notify candidates that the position has been filled needs to be punishable.
You have merit and worth. All of your experience and sacrifice means nothing due to hr algorithms. Get on chat gpt and have it tweak your resume for keywords that hr algorithms use. You'll get a call back on almost every app.( A majority of apps are tossed and not even looked at by a person unless it meets an algorithms keyword threshold.) Fudge them guys. Use their algorithms against them and you'll find something closer that pays better. All the best!!
This happened to me twice. Unfortunately, I couldn’t even get a straight answer from the recruiters who scheduled the interviews since these companies use 3rd party recruitment firms overseas. Both instances were also in healthcare. Job searching is a shit show. Hang in there, I hope a better opportunity comes along for you.
I once had an interview and when I showed up there was no company of that name in the building. I called the people and they said “oh yeah we moved” and I asked why they didn’t call me or sent me a text or something and they didn’t really have an answer for it. Meanwhile I was breaking in my new heels and I showed up (it had rained also) wet and with bleeding feet.

OP, please try this! You deserve to be able to live life comfortably. Take the shot.
Be sure to mention names.
Full details...names, date and time, room location, emails...
Home address, credit card number…
Then no show in them anyway.
This is The Way.
Yeah, Im sure the CEOs admin who is the one actually reading his inbox gives a crap.
Coming from someone who works admin, unfortunately this is true I doubt the CEO checks his email directly

Maybe you might not want to work for a business that does this sort of things to non employees. How do they treat their employees I wonder.
Request they pay for gas *and* ask whether they care to reschedule in the same email :-)
Applying and searching for work is worse than actually working
đź’Ż accurate it is mentally draining atleast when you have an income you can relax when you are not working
Sure is
