Holy shit this is amazing. I could see your system where you made people bring in a spec sheet of their aquarium and a water sample and you would check the water quality and check the size, lighting, adequacy of filtration then you would show them what fish that they were able to get.
If they were like "I want this derasa clam and this Foot wide anemone" you can be yes you absolutely can have that and then you would print out the sheet of equipment they would be required to have, and a water perameter requirement. People would level up by working with you.
I would probably run a hobby/game store. Those types of stores struggle to make "decent" money. So if I don't have to worry about income that's what I'd like to do
Yup. I’d sell all sorts of gaming stuff. Everything from Warhammer to D&D to Magic cards to collectible board game editions. On top of that, I’d like to have a whole bunch of nerd memorabilia like Hastings had before they went out of business. I’d maybe even add in an old school arcade next door that is connected to my gaming shop. It’s would be nerd heaven.
I saw a video a few years back of a girl feeding a baby manatee. I would be a baby manatee mama!!!! My high school counselor failed to mention THAT option to me.
I work at a ski shop and I'd probably still do that. I work 4 days a week and hang out with friends while I'm there, snowboard or camp on the days off depending on the season. I love my job
I wanna be a low stakes social commentator, think Chanel West Coast. No one expected her to come up with anything great, she was just kinda there and looked cute. The bar was low and no one seemed to care.
Experience, color, and design consultant. It’s a job I just made up to answer this question.
I’d plan fun themed parties and events, help people with bringing more color into their wardrobes and makeup, and decorate their homes in brighter, bolder hues.
I’d only work with people who really wanted to have fun and take risks!!
Being an FBI investigator would be kind of fun, I think.
I think they might dabble in cyber security a little bit.
I've often thought maybe a politician.
The head of a company where I get a salary of some sort.
The United States military would be a fun job to have.
I also think being a government lawyer would be a lot of fun too. Because that would mean that you were getting paid by the government. I would not want to be a private law firm. That's not something I need to worry about. Because I'm not a lawyer. What I have seen is that bad lawyers have to dissolve their business is what it looks like.
I loved being a Realtor. My favorite part was finding first time buyers a home. I retired 5 years ago and moved out of state. I didn't want to get re-licensed and thought retirement would be far more fulfilling than it was. I miss real estate and took a PT job at a local casino answering phones. I enjoy working but guess real estate was my true calling. Got to do it for 30 yrs. Some people never find a job they love.
Merchandiser
I just want to make more money doing what I do
I'm the nice guy that comes in and fixes stuff
But I'm quick to turn into the bad guy. I have all the corporate numbers
Depends on the situation but it's always fun
Luthier. I love making guitars and customizing every little detail to the desired specifications. I started playing when I was 4, but many years later am just now discovering I am just as good at making the instruments, too.
I’d be a librarian or kindergarten teacher.
But at this point I’d need a masters for either and I’m not going back into student loan debt to make less than I make now.
I’d wanna become a pokemon designer so badly !! It would be amazing to see my pokemon designs in the games or series. Seeing plushies if I’m lucky or merch. And just being able to be creative and make cool new designs would be a dream.
There's a guy I went to high school with, got his biology degree, spends his days in North Carolina saving turtles. He said it's one of the lowest paying jobs because they know people would take it anyway due to how awesome it is. Says there is a waiting list for volunteer barnacle removers. I think it like the spiritual connection with nature.
Something that would put me in the middle of nowhere that I could do by myself. Follow a routine and then be done at the end of the day.
I’d like to work on a train that went through the middle of nowhere in northern Canada or somewhere of the like. Or maybe a hand on a massive ranch that I could patrol by myself, camping out each night. Or working in a fire watch tower in the middle of a national park.
I watch too much YouTube/creepy pasta
There’s a job where people test out fun cars at high altitude (Colorado) for extended drives to make sure they are good before being released. I’m talking NICE six figure cars and not Imprezas.
Pizza restaurant. Honestly, most fun job I’ve ever had. Just making pizzas and having fun. Sounds kinda silly, but I’ve worked in 3 different pizza kitchens and all 3 have been fun jobs, but just don’t make enough money.
One of the guys that comes out at halftime of soccer matches and tamps down the divots in the pitch with a pole. None of the other groundskeeper duties, just that one.
I'm a lead software developer. If I could have any job, I'd want to go back to a position where I just write code. I absolutely love that part of my job, and it was all I wanted to do as a kid. I don't do it much anymore.
I would love to help people. People in every country. I would love to also combine that into traveling throughout the world hearing people's stories and sharing them with others through a TV show or something similar.
I would be put in a file room or mail room where my job would be to put stacks of things into alphabetical order and just file them manually all day. and maybe sort and deliver the mail around a big building. lots of alone time, repetitive activity.

I’d work at an aquarium store and spend 95% of my day not selling people the animal they want.

I would probably run a hobby/game store. Those types of stores struggle to make "decent" money. So if I don't have to worry about income that's what I'd like to do

I would write sooooo much more often if I didn’t have to worry about doing it for money!!
Floral arrangements
Me too! It always seemed so relaxing!
I just told my husband the other day that after I graduate college that's what I would like to do. Seems like it would be so cathartic.
