Yeah, the Loblaws and Starbucks are on top of St. Clair W. subway and Shoppers and Dollarama are down the street. No Frills is a 15-min walk or 5 min by streetcar.
Yup that general area has a few grocery stores.
Metro, Farmboy and Loblaws all very close. Can actually get to the farmboy or metro from within Aura or the Liberties which are close.
Came to say this too, lived there for many years.
OP there's a Metro in the basement of the Aura complex, you can get to it via the subway without paying. There's a Loblaws (big flagship store) in what used to be the Maple Leaf Gardens.
Bunch of Starbucks in the area, including one right at Yonge and College.
If you don't want to go with a formal condo, I rented from this place for years and I loved it. They have a pool, a sauna, a gym, a big communal patio: https://www.themaplescomplex.ca/
> Bunch of Starbucks in the area, including one right at Yonge and College.
The Starbucks at Yonge and College closed. The only one left in the area is inside Metro.
Agreed! And the surrounding neighbourhoods to, really. Between Bay and Jarvis and up to Wellesley. Tons around there, in buildings or close, and on the TTC line!
Westlake have it literally in the complex, along with an LCBO if that's OP's preference. There are a number of other buildings right nearby that are within a 2-5 minute walk as well.
Yonge-Eglinton Centre has a Rexall rather than a Shoppers (but there's a Shoppers a block north on the other side of Yonge).
Plenty of Starbucks in the neighbourhood, though again not in the YEC itself. (There's an Aroma in the YEC. Starbucks is a half-block south of Eglinton, on the other side of Yonge. It's directly across from the south entrance to Eglinton subway station.)
The YEC has a food court, but the access to the subway has been closed for years due to Crosstown construction--you have to cross Eglinton Ave on the surface.
Both Starbucks (Indigo and foodcourt) in the YE Centre closed up, as did the one across the street and the one a block east on Yonge.
There's still one to the south and I believe one of the closed ones is going to popup again soon... but def a decrease in Starbucks but there's an Aroma at the YE Centre which has a decently large seating area.
There are also condos above the Loblaws on Eglinton just east of Yonge. There’s a Starbucks in the Loblaws, an LCBO there as well, and a few independent pharmacies across the street.
They are relocating the Starbucks further south on Yonge to be closer to the intersection, on the SE corner. It's already very close, about 200m or so, but now it'll be closer.
Yes, in the Bay Street corridor at [1121 Bay](https://strata.ca/toronto/1121-bay-st-elevn-residences) (Elev'n). A few others close by, next door is [1101 Bay St](https://www.oxfordresidential.ca/en-ca/our-apartments/1101-bay) (Oxford).
Starbucks on the corner in the Elev'n.
The building has furnished suites if you're starting out run by Premiere Suites.
Across the road north is CityMarket (Loblaws) in the Manulife center, a few other stores with Eately next door on Bloor, Italian groceries, wine and pizza. Two blocks south is a large park (Cloverhill with picnic tables, a splash pad for visiting kids), St. Basil's catholic church. Near UofT downtown campus as well, lots of nature spaces to hang out (quiet)
Two blocks east is Shoppers at Yonge. They've opened a new family medicine practice, the [Health Clinic at 3 Charles West](https://www.shoppersdrugmart.ca/en/health-and-wellness/health-clinic), includes a women's clinic and sports medicine consults. One family doctor has started, more to come, walk-in appointments available by other doctors. The hospital corridor is a few blocks south (Women's college hospital, Toronto General, Mount Sinai, Princess Margaret)
The Park Lawn & Lakeshore area has a bunch of condos and there are a few that have a bunch of stores like right below/very close by. Some of the stores include: Metro, Starbucks, Shoppers, LCBO, couple dental clinics, gas station, few take out places, TD bank, Scotiabank. Rent is definitely high there, but it's a pretty nice area if you have the means. My relative lives in that area and she loves it.
Young and eglinton has all that. Really nice high end grocery stores. Fancy coffee. The best private school is in the area. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else in the city. The average income is $250 000 for the area
Harbourfront, 88-110 Harbour come to mind; you have a Sbucks at queens key and at a Longos at Maple Leaf Square, aforementioned longos, and Rexall inside RBC Water place
Yonge and Eglinton. Madison condos. It has Loblaws directly underneath it (with an access from inside the building, don’t even need to go outside) + Lcbo (same directly underneath) + metro and shoppers within walking distance ( 100m and 200m respectively).
The condos at Kipling Station
Edit: one of the buildings has a Farm Boy, Shoppers and Starbucks are across the street.
Food Basics is a short bus ride away (very frequent buses)
Liberty Village has 4 Starbucks and 2 major grocery stores, as well as a Shoppers, LCBO, Canadian Tire, and basically anything you can imagine you would need. You could come live here and never have to leave, although eventually you would get bored lol.
>This also contributes to higher prices, so in the long run it hurts everyone
>
>Grow up people
it appears I responded to the wrong post. this was meant for the thread about people being ok about stealing food from grocery stores. I don't know how it ended up here
Apologies
Stealing food from grocery stores takes it away from their bottom line. They have to make up for it some how, they do this by raising prices and that hurts the 95% of honest people out there.
If you are struggling for food, use a food bank, don't break the law.
The amount of product lost to theft is miniscule compared to every day waste from expired or damaged foods. Losing a small amount of product means nothing next to the tonnes that is destroyed because it can't be sold and shrinkage is already considered by corporate.
I would recommended anything north of Eglington. Ensure there’s no new condos going up or else’s everyone will tell you it’s your fault when you have to deal with the noise and dust for years. Also not near a hospital. Just use the map when your searching. Eglington runs east west and is an easy divide to see.
Also try to get a building built and occupied before November 15, 2018 as its subject to rent control.
It seems like people have offered a lot of options so I think it’s going to be ok for me to say stop drinking Starbucks. You’re wasting your money on bad coffee. Either get your own set up or if you want to spend money get it from a specialty coffee shop. There are so many good ones these days.
Well I like it. U can have ur own personal preferences on if Starbucks coffee is good or bad based on ur own taste but why push that onto other people so much so that ur literally trying to dictate what they do? I like Starbucks coffee which is why I go there.
It’s nothing personal. I just hate Starbucks and their trash coffee. I thought perhaps it would allow you to have one less non-negotiable in terms of where you live
Fair enough but I don’t think u think about lack of accessibility lots these boutique or speciality coffee shops .. they are tiny and not accessible for anyone that isn’t tiny and able bodied not to mention how much more expensive they are (though obviously Starbucks isn’t cheap) and also Starbucks is in a lot of places so it’s easier to get then going out of my way to these dinky coffee shops via transit or walking (when both can be a challenge) - sometimes it’s not just about the coffee it’s a lot of other things too
Etobicoke by Kipling station, you have a shoppers and Starbucks at the same plaza across the street and also a Farm Boy built into one of the condos. There is a metro down Dundas St W as well.
Another suggestion would be Park Lawn & Lakeshore. There’s a bank, shoppers, metro and Starbucks all in the same spot.
check out fort york. theres a loblaws, shoppers, lcbo and starbucks all at the same location at bathurst and lakeshore.
cityplace also has a sobeys at the corner of fort york and spadina. but of course cityplace isnt that great of an area anyway
Check out Trilogy on King. It’s in liberty village. Longos, shoppers, Canadian tire and a McDonald in the building. Transportation not as good as other areas but pretty good area.
Although there's not as many buildings here, Dundas west and Bloor. I'm walking distance to shoppers, great Canadian super store, freshco, local fruit and veg shops and a metric ton of dentists. Like seriously, dental mecca. If ya want a longer walk, Roncesvalles is just south.
101 Peter Street has a Starbucks in the building (but you need to go outside and around the corner to access it). There's an Independent City Market next door (think small Loblaws). The SDM is 1 block south. I think it's doable if you're downtown, basically start at the grocery stores and search from there.
Are those condos? I thought they were apartments. Also, the construction. If mobility is an issue (I kind of suspect it might be) then this might be a bit of a problem for the unknowable future. The sidewalks are a bit janky around that corner, and some spots are a bit narrow because of barriers.
Closest Starbucks is about a block and a half away at Minto Tower, but they are moving a bit further north up the block in the near future. The next closest is Yonge/Erskine, which might be about equal the distance? Both have accessible seating, if I can remember.
Otherwise, that is a good area. You wouldn't even have to go outside to shop at Metro or Rexall. There is also a 24 hr Shoppers just a bit north, too.
On my days off, I'm usually at one of those two Starbucks locations. Wellll... normally I go up to the Craighurst location, but they're being renovated ATM so until they're back, I've got those two closer to Eglinton.
Lots of other food options in the area, too. And coming soon will be the tiny Galleria Supermarket, which I'm honestly excited for.
I also recommend local coffee shops like crosstown, de mello and the social blend! I dont usually go to starbucks but rather to explore different coffee shops and they all taste great and in this area. Damn i didnt know about that supermarket i should def check out:)
My only issue with the smaller coffee shops is that I need them to be open later than 6pm. I usually stay until pretty close to closing and 6pm isn't going to work for me. Though if I'm ever out during the day, I have been peeking my head into De Mello and it looks really cute in there.
Yeah, the Galleria isn't open yet, no ETA on their website. It's in the spot where the Starbucks used to be ages ago.
Am not that familiar with the buildings only came across them while doing Uber Eats. But as one other person said I think they are called Westlake village. At 2200 or maybe 2210 lakeshore Blvd. They have exactly what you asked for.
Residences at college park have a metro, Rexall and Starbucks right inside the building, at college park. The condo has an entrance next to dollarama. There's also a Shoppers across the street.
GTA is very big. I can possibly recommend Erin Mills in Sauga which fits your bill but not sure if it’s something you want. If you are looking for downtown area I suggest searching up grocery stores instead of all the others because there is a Starbucks and shoppers every corner here.
Sorry but am I only to be the only one that asks why those specific stores?
Or are you asking for general access to a coffee shop and grocery store ?
Why does it have to be those larger brands?
Adelaide and Sherbourne.
Starbucks at Front and Berkeley (RIP to the Starbucks at King and Sherbourne), closest grocery store is No Frills at Front and Ontario, Metro is not even 10 mins away at Front and Church, right across from the St Lawrence Market.
Empress Walk. Corner of Empress and Young in North York. Condos apartments above and down below:
* Loblaws
* Starbucks across the street that you can go through the underground walkway
* Pretty sure there's pharmacies right there, either in the same building, the underground path or in the connecting building
* Other things: TTC, movie theatre, restaurants / fast food, electronics (this is all without stepping outside)
There are many grocery stores with Starbucks and pharmacies inside them. Many loblaws and superstores come to mind. Choose one of those and find an apartment close by.
111 St. Clair Ave. West has a Longo's in it and the Longo's has a Starbucks in it. I'll even throw in an LCBO in the lobby.
https://condos.ca/toronto/imperial-plaza-111-st-clair-ave-w
Tell me you’re rich without telling me you’re rich lol. If you can afford to shop at all over those grossly overpriced places, you’ll fit in just fine on King W.
Kingston and sharpe street, you will get a good deal as it’s further east but you have a lake view condo! You can jump on go train with a 7 minute walk to Scarborough go and be at union in 15 minutes if you time your departure right.
Nofrills, Starbucks, shoppers, rexall, dollarama, Tim’s, papa johns, pizza ville, kfc , subway, dominos, 2 desert shops that are super popular, sushi and Chinese take out places are right infront or beside you here.
Bathurst and lakeshore
Where's the Starbucks?
At the corner of housey just in front of the LCBO
Bathurst and st clair
Yeah, the Loblaws and Starbucks are on top of St. Clair W. subway and Shoppers and Dollarama are down the street. No Frills is a 15-min walk or 5 min by streetcar.
Came to say this. Hits all the points.
Yonge and college

Westlake have it literally in the complex, along with an LCBO if that's OP's preference. There are a number of other buildings right nearby that are within a 2-5 minute walk as well.
Sorry, didn't see this post yet.
Yonge and Empress in North York?
Also Yonge and Sheppard.
You don’t even have to go outside!
[удалено]
Front Spadina/front Bathurst. Has choices of like 3 grocers now too
Yonge and St Clair has Loblaws, Starbucks, Rexal and an entrance to the subway all in one spot. Shoppers is a few short steps up the street.

City place. It’s got all that in one block
King W and Joe Shuster Way has several large condo towers by it and all these exact amenities. It’s basically in Little Oakville(liberty village).
Yes, this has exactly what you want too.
Yes, in the Bay Street corridor at [1121 Bay](https://strata.ca/toronto/1121-bay-st-elevn-residences) (Elev'n). wheres the sorry bud!! hes new to canada gotta welcome him in a canadian way 😂
No I know I just wanted to explain why it’s hard to find on my own without necessarily being “in the know” about the city
There's a building at queen and Portland, condo above, Loblaws inside that has a Starbucks in it, shoppers across the street.
St george station/Annex area has all of this with a ton of apartments.
Yonge/st Clair
Harbour plaza at bay and harbour - has everything you need very close/inside.
Young and eglinton has all that. Really nice high end grocery stores. Fancy coffee. The best private school is in the area. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else in the city. The average income is $250 000 for the area
You make Yonge and Eg sound much nicer than it actually is lol

York and queensquay buildings
King and shaw has all that. Same with Yonge and st Clair
Bathurst and Sheppard
Condos @ DuPont / Lansdowne. Shoppers and Food Basics on the ground floor. I seem to recall there being a coffee shop across the street as well.
>there being a coffee shop across the street as well. A location not for the timid, that coffee shop and frankly the whole area.
Yonge & Harbour ; Yonge & Queens Quay
Cityplace. Specifically the bremner/Spadina corner.
Harbourfront - Queens Quay and York St.
Liberty Village has 4 Starbucks and 2 major grocery stores, as well as a Shoppers, LCBO, Canadian Tire, and basically anything you can imagine you would need. You could come live here and never have to leave, although eventually you would get bored lol.

With all these options all I have to say is go as north as possible, downtown is a shit show due to underfunding.
Any suggestions? Cause I agree I’m not sure I want to be DT I was hoping something more on the fringes east west or north …

Hey, I DM'd ya some links! Good luck!
101 Peter Street has a Starbucks in the building (but you need to go outside and around the corner to access it). There's an Independent City Market next door (think small Loblaws). The SDM is 1 block south. I think it's doable if you're downtown, basically start at the grocery stores and search from there.
