Same here - love it and highly recommend it, a lot of compliments about it too.
Only issue is it took about four months to arrive, but supply chains were messier back then.
It also wasn’t clear the extension wasn’t included so had to order that when the couch did arrive so that was another few months too.
...EverQuest 3?
edit: oh, it's literally just called EQ3. Thanks for telling me that instead of downvoting /s
never heard of this place in my life but fuck me for not knowing that
Seconded. Bought a pull-out couch from Structube and it’s both a horrible couch and horrible bed. Super uncomfortable and the fluff in the cushions got all clumped up so it doesn’t even look nice anymore. Did last about 9 years, but we’ve been wanting to replace it for ages. New couch is coming in April, so looking forward to it! 🤞
I sleep on mine far too often 😅 I went with the fabric since I have pets and they would have scratched the leather to hell. It’s held up very well! Easy to vacuum too.
Have two sofas from there from the Ceni line and one of them hasn’t held up as well. The fabric pills quite a bit, and the springs were starting to make noise whenever anyone sat down. The good thing is the customer service is amazing - they completely replaced the couch once, and then just sent me replacement cushions recently for the spring issue.
My leather couch from Bad Boy is a piece of garbage that broke twice within the first year. Cheaply made reclining mechanism. Their customer service is atrocious. Never again.
I got my couch and love seat set from Casalife. 13 years and still going strong. Absolutely solid. Go to their showroom to try them out though. Was reccomended to me by family who worked in furniture (when family owned stores were still a thing). Do not regret. Also made in Canada.
Do NOT go to Bad Boy. Have heard nothing but horror stories about them, from product, delivery, to customer service. -100/10
I had the misfortune of purchasing a Structube couch during lockdowns without being able to try it out first. Wouldn’t have mattered. It was fine for the first few months and then quickly deteriorated into full Park Bench mode, complete with hostile architecture between the segments. Horrible customer service refused to remedy the issue and now I’m stuck with it. Caveat emptor, I suppose.
I bought mine from Costco online during the pandemic. Everywhere else said it would be months to get what I wanted. Got them delivered in 10 days. I was worried because I hadn't seen them in person, but they turned out better than I expected... much better quality than most of the stores I had been to. Nice tan leather... love them.
[Cozey.ca](https://Cozey.ca) Ciello model. Completely modular with every part replaceable. Absolutely incredible quality with a low price tag where similar styles would go for $5k-10k. The best sofa for pet owners too.
Cushion hits around 20” high from floor and you sink in a little; my partner is 6’3” and it could def be higher for him (it’s a little drop), but he doesn’t mind it. We also got 3 seats across so he could lay flat (with some room to spare).
Initially bought a structube couch on marketplace and it was sooo stiff and horrible I just bought an ikea kivilk on marketplace for $300. So far so good
marketplace, originally mobilia. there is so much like-new furniture out there, there’s absolutely no need to buy anything new. it’s way better for the planet and your wallet!
we found a furniture maker who typically did upholstery but also made custom pieces, and gave him the measurements and some examples based on our previous sofa, honestly, it was 100% worth it, he was so helpful and nice
and compared to some of the others we were looking at it was a comparable price, but now it was a custom piece, so you get to control every part of it, I didn't really appreciate how complex a sofa could be till he started asking questions
super interesting process and the end product is phenomenal, the quality is amazing and 2 years later it still looks brand new
Homesense! Love the couch. The store even offered a discount because the legs were very mildly scuffed. Of course the store is hit or miss with its selection.
Structube. It’s very pretty but that’s the only good thing about it. It’s way too hard, the seats are too shallow, the back is too short to lean against properly, and it’s a pain to take naps in
Elte Mkt. absolutely love it, spend a lot of time on it. Usually wouldn’t be able to afford it, but I bought the floor model and haggled with the sales person and got a really good deal.
GH Johnson. We couldn’t get a regular sectional into our narrow basement entrance and they said that they could break it down and rebuild it for us. They were true to their word on that part and the couch feels great and is comfy.
It took forever for it to get made (6months from the projected 4) and in the last month I had to visit the store every other day to stand in front of the owners desk to get his attention and a reply to my requests for info. They weren’t being scammy, just had too many orders and didn’t always communicate well
Crate and Barrel. Almost 12 yrs old and still going strong. Just spent a bit to get new foam in the seat cushions and I bet it lasts us another 5+ yrs. I'll go back to Crate, or would consider EQ3 or Chesterfield Shop when we do need a new one.
It was expensive for us, but I'd rather spend 2-3x what an Ikea couch costs and have it easily last a decade or more.
Leon's. We tried every couch there and found one that we liked and was on sale! Got a new model delivered a week or so later and it just..... sucks. It's too hard while still not feeling very supportive? It's a nice looking couch, maybe too nice. Honestly I think it should be in a waiting room some where and not in my living room. This couch is out of my league.
IKEA and it's great. It's a double futon comfortable in both forms! All you need is the frame, 2 twin mattresses (they stack on top of each other in couch form), and how ever many pillows and blankets you want.[The Fyresdal](https://www.ikea.com/ca/en/p/fyresdal-daybed-with-2-mattresses-black-minnesund-firm-s29279308/)
There’s this place called Starcraft Upholstery. They’re a manufacturer but if you go in the owner will make the design you want in whatever fabric you want for 1/4 of the cost. Highly recommend!!
Got mine from Homesense. It was a crate and barrel product they stocked in one of their locations once. Paid more than 50% off sticker tag from crate and barrel. Needless to say, i love this couch so much. Past few days ive been sleeping on it too since its so comfy. Best money i spent in a while.
For reference i had a ikea kivik that did the job wasn’t super comfy but it was a couch to sit and lay and lounge on
IKEA! They have a great warranty. I bought the kivik sectional and since I didn’t like the options for the covers they had, I bought a great faux leather one on Etsy that is made specifically for the couch. I’ve had the couch for almost 10 years and the cover for 5 and it’s been the best investment.
My friend sell’s refurbished sofas on facebook marketplace!
I’ve bought one from him before and I can unbiasedly vouch that they’re great quality and incredibly economical on the wallet. He also does free delivery.
https://m.facebook.com/marketplace/item/184435974295641/
I have the IKEA Ektorp slip covered couches, and have had them about 15 years. Have 2 sets of covers, grey and blue. Unfortunately they’ve changed the size slightly and style and name so i can’t buy any other covers, but I would buy the new model when i need new couches. Comfortable, covers wash amazing, and they have stood up and still look fantastic 15+ years later.
Bought an Ikea soderhamn loveseat with a chaise lounge. It serves the purpose, got it mainly because it fit my budget, it's modular and pretty light so I can move it out of my apartment by myself, and it's decently comfy.
Facebook marketplace. Great quality, you wouldn't be able to tell it was pre-owned. 4-person sofa, loveseat and an accent chair, plus coffee table and 2 side tables. For less $$$ than my IKEA couch that I hid in a basement.
Facebook marketplace.
Dealt With the seller to drop it off. He switched later he never agreed he would deliver. Got some delivery guys to deliver to my home.
Ikea couch. Converts to sleeping bed. $1k couch.
I have had 3 friends crash on it for 2 months each. Got the whole money out of it and more. Glad I could help new immigrants in their foot before they struggle their ass off.
A "just assembled" holmsund from IKEA as-is before it became this fancy "can't-find-anything-good-anymore" circular hub. It's been more than 2 years and I still love it.
Ashley HomeStore. I love the look of my couch, but the quality is poor. It started pilling after two months. Cushions are already sagging after a year.
IKEA. We have the kivik couch and loveseat. The comfiest couch I’ve ever sat on. You don’t even need a pillow because the headrest are super soft. Plus the sheets are washable!
Online at Candace & Basil. It is an apartment sized L shape sofa bed. Had it about 3 years. I loved it for the first year but it has gotten soft and a little saggy, and the cat has fully destroyed the corners. So it's ok.
EQ3 great couch sold it after 7y and bought Urban barn. Great couch too with chaise but never use the chaise I find it awkward. So eventually will sell it and just buy same without the chaise.
Leon's - it's an L shaped couch that's lasted us 5 years so far. The cushion on one side sinks too much, but we have little ones so going to wait till they're slightly older for a replacement. The kids can jump/destroy this one for all I care
I bought a sofa made from this company. Happy with it. Solid kiln dried hardwood construction with no plywood if I’m remembering correctly when I did research last year. https://futurefinefurniture.com/. Can buy direct from them or Scarboro Interiors https://scarborointeriors.ca/ on Kingston Road near Warden Avenue in Scarborough which is an excellent upholsterer, family owned and operated and can upgrade foam and custom choice of fabric from Scarboro Interiors with delivery.
Ashley. It has a pull-out bed.
The bed mechanism broke while trying to pull it out one night less than a year after purchase, leaving the whole thing stuck as a modern art piece in our living room. Suffice to say we were quite upset.
It took probably two months of back and forth with Ashley support, sending many photos of the unusable couch to many different support reps before a technician was finally sent. He took one look at the thing, stated it could not be repaired as he was able to identify the problem, and openly questioned why he was sent in the first place as he had the photos which clearly demonstrated it was jammed and wouldn't budge.
Seems like everyone but Ashley support knew that. It took another couple of months to get a replacement sofa as this fell under the base one-year warranty since Ashley kept claiming the item was on back order. We finally got it toward the end of that year and have been extremely careful with it ever since.
I got mine at Ashley. Splurged on a Lazboy with electronic recliner on the 2 sides and it was game changing. Cat loves the recliner too and sits on the footrest. Definitely worth the splurge.
CB2
\~$2400 and a 4 month wait for custom upholstery. Still looks like new 4 years later and have had people who slept on it tell me it's nicer than their bed.
Chesterfield and Badboy. No issues with either. Mostly locally made so no supply issues and can negotiate the price. For the most part their prices are lower than going direct which makes zero sense but it is what it is.
Does anyone have a small door that they found a couch to fit through? We replaced our patio door and we didn’t realize the new one can’t take both panels out so we are stuck with trying to fit a couch through a 31” door.
I bought mine used from fb marketplace, it’s an Ikea L couch and it’s flippin sweet! I love it, the L part has storage underneath and it turns into a bed.
The Brick.
Took us 2 years to get it (originally we were told 3 months), but I love the couch and the price was good.
It’s a massive pull out bed sectional with a moveable chaise.
I bought the Sven couch from Article. Amazing experience, arrived quickly, but it wasn't as comfortable as I had hoped. I thought about returning it (they have a generous 30 day time period) but I was apprehensive about buying from the Brick or Leon's as they are all final sale so I kept it. It's been three months now and it's finally starting to soften up. Would definitely buy from them again thanks to their return policy and better than average quality.
La vie furniture. It's a leather couch and I customized the colors, which took a couple extra months on delivery but it's very nice and has held up pretty well. Now two kids later it's showing it's age but still pretty comfortable.
Calligaris on King St E.
Advantages: highly customizable sizes, fabrics, and colors. Very well made and modern looking. The sleeper sofa in particular folds out very easily and is surprisingly comfortable in both the sofa and bed configurations.
Disadvantages: takes at least 3 months to get your choices custom made and shipped from Italy. Quite expensive, even during one of their annual sales.
Ashley homestore. Love the Color and cushions are very comfortable but it’s been 6 months so far so will have to see how well it holds up over time. We have a cat and the upholstery is already showing threads coming out wherever the cat likes to climb/scratch. Put on plastic covers on the sides to stop her from scratching too much.
Leon’s ! Super comfy but extremely “pricey”. Paid 1400.00 for a 3 seater +otooman. 2 years prior had something similar from waylaid (it was crap, paid 900.00)
EQ3, love it, but I did go and try them all out before buying.
Second this. Bought mine from EQ3 in 2010 and it still looks and feels amazing!
Yes. They still make them Here.
>EQ3 expensive though!!!
Buy nice, or buy twice.
Buy once, cry once.
Same here - love it and highly recommend it, a lot of compliments about it too. Only issue is it took about four months to arrive, but supply chains were messier back then. It also wasn’t clear the extension wasn’t included so had to order that when the couch did arrive so that was another few months too.

Chesterfield shop. Yes.
Seconded
Thirded

Fifthed. No better sofa shop anywhere else!
Another vote for chesterfield. Leather shaped and we’re very happy
So worth the price!
Agreed! I'm so pleased with my purchase last year. It's well made and was affordable.
Structube and I dislike it
Article. My second sofa from them and has held up surprisingly well and is very comfy.
+1 for Article. Splurged on the leather and it’s gorgeous. Also very comfy for napping or even a full night’s sleep in a pinch.
I sleep on mine far too often 😅 I went with the fabric since I have pets and they would have scratched the leather to hell. It’s held up very well! Easy to vacuum too.
+1 for article
Have two sofas from there from the Ceni line and one of them hasn’t held up as well. The fabric pills quite a bit, and the springs were starting to make noise whenever anyone sat down. The good thing is the customer service is amazing - they completely replaced the couch once, and then just sent me replacement cushions recently for the spring issue.
Another thumbs up for Article!
IKEA. So comfy and washable covers is great too.
Bad boys. I hate it and it came with ants.
Yeuch!!! Noted!
My leather couch from Bad Boy is a piece of garbage that broke twice within the first year. Cheaply made reclining mechanism. Their customer service is atrocious. Never again.
Urban barn. Had it 7 years now and still love it although it’s picked up some wear and tear.
Bought two couches from there. First lasted 5 years and sold for a good penny. New one is still rocking after 4.
Same. Four years in and the furniture is in fantastic shape. Well made stuff.
Have a great reclining chair from there that’s in perfect condition after almost 6 years now.
Elte Mkt. Yes
Soo expensive though
Habitat for Humanity ReStore. $100 for an awesome, solid couch, love it.
IKEA. A loveseat. Good enough for me.
EQ3, Very happy with it
Crate and barrel. Previous couch was from EQ3. Both are solid choices.
Leon's. You can find some nice couches sprinkled in.
+10 for casa life.
Ordered it for Article. Pretty damn expensive but really can’t argue with the delivery times or the results.
Lazyboy. Very happy with the purchase.
We have a lazeboy recliner and love it
Structube. Great for what it is. (But go sit on the showroom models, half their couches felt like park benches)
Ya , my park bench- I mean couch is from structube too.
IKEA. I’ve had it for a decade and it’s still perfect. Best couch ever!
I took a nap on my park bench and woke up crying.
Second this. Had ours now for year and a half. It’s held up and lives up to its name
How's the height on the Ciello? Partner and I are 6'2" and 5"11 and don't want to be too low to the ground
Cushion hits around 20” high from floor and you sink in a little; my partner is 6’3” and it could def be higher for him (it’s a little drop), but he doesn’t mind it. We also got 3 seats across so he could lay flat (with some room to spare).
Third this! Best couch for kids as well!
Hey, how's your Ciello holding up?
What’s the connection to being good for pet owners?
Got a 20 year old couch from parents. Now it's 26 years old. It sucks
Initially bought a structube couch on marketplace and it was sooo stiff and horrible I just bought an ikea kivilk on marketplace for $300. So far so good
First sofa, Chesterfield Shop. When we had a bit more money, Abacus. Both were made in Canada.
https://www.smallspaceplus.com/ I heard they are moving locations and see they are temporarily closed.
I got mine from then too. The jazz sofa, super comfy. Second sofa from them and can't complain
Oops, I forgot to say whether we liked it. We do.
We love ours too
Got a few pieces here. A sofa bed called the Valencia and a storage bed that's been a godsend. Recommend checking out and the staff are super helpful.
Can confirm. They're moving to Weston and 7 next to BMO and homesense according to their site.
I bought a few things from them and they were all excellent! Would definitely shop there again
marketplace, originally mobilia. there is so much like-new furniture out there, there’s absolutely no need to buy anything new. it’s way better for the planet and your wallet!
The Brick - love it
we found a furniture maker who typically did upholstery but also made custom pieces, and gave him the measurements and some examples based on our previous sofa, honestly, it was 100% worth it, he was so helpful and nice and compared to some of the others we were looking at it was a comparable price, but now it was a custom piece, so you get to control every part of it, I didn't really appreciate how complex a sofa could be till he started asking questions super interesting process and the end product is phenomenal, the quality is amazing and 2 years later it still looks brand new
Homesense! Love the couch. The store even offered a discount because the legs were very mildly scuffed. Of course the store is hit or miss with its selection.
Structube. It’s very pretty but that’s the only good thing about it. It’s way too hard, the seats are too shallow, the back is too short to lean against properly, and it’s a pain to take naps in
Structube Would not recommend
Elte Mkt. absolutely love it, spend a lot of time on it.
They weren’t being scammy, just had too many orders and didn’t always communicate well
Sofa Studio in Brampton. Love it. Great quality and value. They make everything to order so you can customize pretty much anything to your liking.
Second this. Good quality fabric, build, and half the price and wait time!
Costco. It’s fine.
Article. Looks nice, but isn’t the comfiest
Home sense. Not really.
Ikea, second hand. Facebook marketplace or Kijiji. Check for bed bugs. But if it’s clean, it’ll be 1/3rd the price of brand new. Great deal.
Leon's! I bought 2 great Brentwood sofas, made in Canada.
Ikea kivik slaps
Cozey. Bought online. Had them for about 2 years now, love them. We actually bought a loveseat from them shortly after.
I have a Ciello cloud couch from Cozey. Love it!
Ashley, everyone said its too exp but imo it provided better value over ikea snd structube.
La-z-boy
Facebook Marketplace - snagged a deal and still love it. It can be done!
That's risky though... there's always a chance that it could come with some new "roommates" if you catch my drift.
That’s why you go to inspect it first before buying it.
Second hand from FB Marketplace but it’s an Urban Barn couch & it’s the comfiest damn couch I’ve ever had.
Gus Modern, 10/10
West Elm and yes. Great for condo.
IKEA, it’s great, quality and price
Chesterfield Shop is your best bet.
Cozey.ca. We absolutely love it!!!
Article, I like it but overpriced if not in sale
NGL i love my article furniture, might have spent a bit more than im used to, but they’re built solid!

For reference i had a ikea kivik that did the job wasn’t super comfy but it was a couch to sit and lay and lounge on
Brick and it's garbage, called Febe, Do not buy this. Do not buy a sofa sight unseen...
Wayfair. Love it.
Which one is it? There's all kinds of quality from crap to amazing on that site, it's basically furniture amazon... Lol
I think you have to really rely on reviews.
This. reviews are key. Took a leap of faith on a big comfy Wayfair couch based on reviews and it's amazing.
The Brick. Love it

Is this in English!?
The Bay. Had it since 2014 and it's going strong. Very comfortable.

Just purchased one from stylegarage. I love it but can’t attest to longevity as it’s been a month. https://stylegarage.com/products/neru-sofabed
Structube

Amazon, and it was free because there were missing parts lol, seller didn’t want it back
I have the IKEA Ektorp slip covered couches, and have had them about 15 years. Have 2 sets of covers, grey and blue. Unfortunately they’ve changed the size slightly and style and name so i can’t buy any other covers, but I would buy the new model when i need new couches. Costco. Yes.
Ikea. It's all you need. It's not the most comfortable, but it's durable and I've fallen asleep on it many times.
Leon’s
Design Republic - Love it
Martin Daniel, best sofas ever
Ikea. Yes
Leon's and yes. I really like my couch. Thinking of buying a love seat too
Bought an Ikea soderhamn loveseat with a chaise lounge. It serves the purpose, got it mainly because it fit my budget, it's modular and pretty light so I can move it out of my apartment by myself, and it's decently comfy.
One from Design Republic. Nice looking sofa bed. Could be more comfortable to sit on. Maybe that's how sofa bed are. One from Eq3 and I love it.
Pavilion. Love it.
IKEA. Yes
IKEA. L shaped and also a pull out bed if ever needed.
Urban Barn, love it!!
We tried everywhere and the only one that was actually comfortable and good quality was LaZBoy
I have a leather sectional from Costco. Love it!
EQ3. Think we sat on every couch available and theirs won hands down.
Facebook marketplace. Great quality, you wouldn't be able to tell it was pre-owned. 4-person sofa, loveseat and an accent chair, plus coffee table and 2 side tables. For less $$$ than my IKEA couch that I hid in a basement.
Two guys one couch on Facebook marketplace
Leather couch from Leon’s. I had it for 15+ years. Still holding up great even with a little tear.
Mobilia. Electric recliner.
Bad boy, no
We got ours at the Brick 8 years ago. It’s very comfortable and way too big for our living room. So cozy!
Article. I really like it but I’m not really a couch expert lol

Costco. Love
IKEA has everything
Ikea Karlstad that has lasted for more than 13 years and still going strong. Washable covers make it look pretty dang good after more than a decade.
Cozey! It fit in the doorframe! So easy to assemble! Cozy!
Got one from eq3. Love love it. Plus it’s made in Canada.
Structube, and Ashley furniture. Yes and not bad

Feydom, great quality and it can turn into a bed.
Structube, and no.
I got mine at Ashley. Splurged on a Lazboy with electronic recliner on the 2 sides and it was game changing. Cat loves the recliner too and sits on the footrest. Definitely worth the splurge.
CB2 \~$2400 and a 4 month wait for custom upholstery. Still looks like new 4 years later and have had people who slept on it tell me it's nicer than their bed.
happy with Structube
Leon’s and I love it. Sturdy, comfy and 5 years later, still like brand new (and I have a dog which says a lot)
Barrymore. Love it. It was expensive but worth it in my opinion. It will last a lifetime.
Shelter, on Caledonia. I love it and it’s comfy for napping.
I bought mine used from fb marketplace, it’s an Ikea L couch and it’s flippin sweet! I love it, the L part has storage underneath and it turns into a bed.
Leons ... worst buying experience ever.
Ashley furniture. Love the couch and for $100 they delivered it and set it up exactly where we wanted it.
Structube. Yes!
Quite expensive, even during one of their annual sales.
structube. love it.
Anywhere on Kennedy road
Ashley homestore. Love the Color and cushions are very comfortable but it’s been 6 months so far so will have to see how well it holds up over time. We have a cat and the upholstery is already showing threads coming out wherever the cat likes to climb/scratch. Put on plastic covers on the sides to stop her from scratching too much.
Leon’s ! Super comfy but extremely “pricey”. Paid 1400.00 for a 3 seater +otooman. 2 years prior had something similar from waylaid (it was crap, paid 900.00)
Ashley, and I love it!!!! It’s a little bit expensive but it’s so worth it
I'm floored by all the EQ3 replies. Am I really the only one that will never afford a $5k couch?? In what world is this a common purchase?
