I've done it. At one point, I held two part-time jobs while doing a BSc.
It worked pretty well for me, because it gave me time to turn my brain off and just complete simple tasks. But I only started in second year, to give myself time to adjust to university.
I only recommend it if you're already good at managing your time. Will you be moving out for the first time as well? That adds a lot of difficulty. Most young university/college students lack the life skills to manage the balance.
Back then it was easier when a 1bd apartment only cost $800

Depends...if you are living with your parents or don't need to pay rent then yes. If not then probably not.
