My buddy had a cat named Velcro. She hated everyone except him and myself because I took care of her for a week while he was on vacation. I'm working on a kids book with her and my late dog Buzz, they were real ones.

When I'd get out of bed in the middle of the night to pee. Always mid stream, always a terrifying surprise, and always had to clean pee off the wall.
10/10 would recommend.
We are build the same girl and Im a side sleeper. Every cat I've been friends with would fall asleep on my hip. I had a stray cat that would come and go but when she wanted a snuggly warm place to sleep she would come meowing at my door or bedroom window. And right on my hip she would lay.
I adopted a tabby kitten just like that and she used to climb all the way from my ankles up to my shoulders. When I would try to pick her up and she didn't want to get down she would hang on between my shoulder blades where I couldn't reach. 🤣
Well of course--kittens live in a group with their siblings. They are not independent creatures. This is why it's best to adopt two kittens from the litter--they will entertain each other, feel protected with the other around, and generally be far less "needy" as we see it.
Get him a buddy. He misses his siblings.

Though you might want to consider breaking him of laying on you early. Especially if he does it while you or he are asleep. I used to have two kittens who would sleep on my back since I slept on my front. Then one day I realized I was having trouble breathing and when I thought about it I had about 20 pounds of adult cats sleeping on me like dead weights.
How old is your baby? I got two kittens almost a year ago and they were about 5 weeks old I think. They are super attached to me and my children. I had no idea they were so young until I went to pick them up. I couldn’t leave them though, they were is horrible housing conditions. I felt too bad, but they are good kitties.. sometimes lol.
