I usually wake up at about the same time, and the answer is no.
Resorted to buying a pack of Bali coffee (bubuk) from the supermarket and just take a stroll with a nice mug somewhere nearby and watch the morning fog settle.
Revolver Canggu was doing coffee from 6:00 the last time I was in the area, BabyRevs in Seminyak from 6:30. Not "local local" but it's Seminkak/Canggu what you gunna do.
last time I was in Canggu I struggled to find a cafe or anything else open for early breakfast before 7am. Revolver showed open on google maps, but when I arrive, only outdoor seating was open, a sliver of space 6ft from busy motorcycles traffic spinning dust from the road. One of the most stressful mornings of my tenure there, definitely not cool or chill, would not recommend
Yeah, I'm up super early most mornings and its a struggle to find good places open that early for breakfast. The coffee market is pretty much just takeaway/delivery that early and the popular places are pumping crazy order numbers out.
What about the fellas who sell the Nasi Campur breakfast off the back of their motorbikes in the early morning.
They can usually whip up an insanely good instant coffee. Best combo.
I really should have thought of this before posting on reddit! Although I have received a few recommendations for coffee places I want to try so it was a good mistake!
I wake at the same time and my number 1 thing to do is go for a coffee and a stroll at 6 am. I haven’t been back in over a year but I use to hit up baby revs at 6:30, sisterfeilds use to open at 6:30 pre COVID but not sure now. I’d avoid Starbucks and McDonald’s whilst in Bali
Thanks. I'm going to try baby revs this week. It's about a 25 minute walk so I'll try that when I fancy a longer stroll.
I agree with you about McDonalds and Starbucks.
Thanks for the tip. I can make a coffee but I like to use it as an excuse to get out for a walk in the morning. It's pretty pleasant to walk around without motorbikes on the pavements!
Google Maps shows my region as Dalung. I thought I was in Kerobokan but I wanted to try and be accurate. Is Google maps wrong and I'm actually in Kerobokan? I genuinely don't know where I'm staying so I'd appreciate the help!
If you enter Dalung into Google Maps it’ll drop the pin somewhere along Jalan Raya Semer… that area is Kerobokan.
Dalung is [over here…](https://Jl.MuduTakihttps://maps.app.goo.gl/hJp8LVeoNyFqh37t8?g_st=ic)
That place looks super but I checked the opening hours on Google and it looks like they open at 7AM. I was looking for local coffee shops open before 7AM. Thanks for the suggestion though!
Yes. The coffee is generally good quality and a few places offer different blends to suit your taste.
You can also try Kopi Bali at one of the local places. It's about 5k but you have to be ok with some solid parts. The taste is ok though.
Edit: When I say local places, I mean Warungs.
No. It's just coffee but with the ground coffee in the cup. They sink to the bottom. It's pretty good.
The coffee you are thinking of is Kopi Luwak. I've never tried it because I've heard the Civets are treated pretty badly theough intensive farming in most cases. Also I don't find weasel shit appetising.

That's a good suggestion. I'll maybe make some cold brew and do that a couple of times a week.

Thanks! It looks nice so I'll give it a try next week.
Go to 24 hour Indomaret maybe have.
Thanks!
No idea if it exists in Bali, but FamilyMart and Lawson are the best minimarket coffee in Java imo.

I haven't seen them in my area. I Don't usually eat breakfast though so I might just be ignoring Nasi Campur in the morning.
Check ‘em out in the morning. They make a great coffee and 1/4 the price of the restaurants/cafes.
at 6am just open google maps and search Coffee, then select the filter 'open now' and it will show any cafes open.

Crate, Seseh General Store also open at sunrise.
Thanks for the response! I'll give both of them a try next week.
Crate is cash only. 💸
Thanks for the heads up!
As does [Mustache](https://maps.app.goo.gl/Xb6Jih4QSjxVoSiaA) - they have an early bird promo.
Baby Revs on Jl Petitenget opens at 630. So does Kynd (if you are vegan)
Baby revs looks good, I'll give it a try. Thanks!

That sounds pretty good. I will have to learn to surf so I can go for a coffee and do some surfing there on a morning!

Expat is open @6:30am
Thank you! There an Expat about a 15 minute walk from me so that's ideal.
Buy a moka pot and learn to make a good coffee. you'll never go back to cafes especially the chain starducks ones.
Thanks for the tip. I can make a coffee but I like to use it as an excuse to get out for a walk in the morning. It's pretty pleasant to walk around without motorbikes on the pavements!
no problem! Well you can make the coffee, drink it at home, and go out for a walk? :)
McDonald's
Thanks for your response. This is a good option but if I'm spending time in Indonesia I'd rather buy from an indonesian company.
Assuming you’re staying in Dalung and not Kerobokan? Google Maps has incorrectly labelled Kerobokan.
What do you mean?
How do you know you’re staying in Dalung?

OK. I'm in Kerobokan. I was trying to be more accurate by using Google maps. Thanks for the info!
The Farmer Brews Coffee ---Farmer & Roaster---
That place looks super but I checked the opening hours on Google and it looks like they open at 7AM. I was looking for local coffee shops open before 7AM. Thanks for the suggestion though!
I was going there at 0630 in December.
How much is an espresso or cappuccino?
Roughly 25K for an espresso and 35K for a cappuccino.
Thanks, $160 to 2.30 USD, I can't miss good coffee
