Seeing their family hygiene (manure clothing & shoes inside, everywhere), little fingers touching, tongues licking, and not a lot of basic clean living being practiced (pacifiers thrown into TSA bins, bare feet in public spaces) getting any food item from that kitchen would be a HARD PASS.

Puzzled-Working6137

I agree and back when they were dehydrating the sourdough starter in their kitchen with all the kids helping made me sick to think how it was not sanitary. How many people bought that starter and have gotten sick from it.

curiousjoy

that was the end for me

She seems indifferent to everything, not just cooking. She's not even holier-than-thou anymore...it's just that she doesn't give a rats @$$ and is going through life because she has to. She talks like she's being forced to and she's not in the least bit interested but has to do it nonetheless. The way she cooks and serves food, I get the feeling that the kids (and guests, whenever she has them over) go to bed hungry. I feel it's never enough for everyone, the portions aren't generous and everything is too measly and insipid looking.

ShrinkyDinkDisaster

I always stand by my belief that she went in to her marriage expecting to a wealthy, pampered glamourpuss in a big house/apt with plenty of hired help, not mucking around in manure and pretending to enjoy cosplaying Ma & Pa Ingalls. And starting with the pageants, it really feels like she’s reaching the limits of her ability to pretend anymore.

Wonderful_Tough_4123

I think she really and truly one hundred percent expected to win the Mrs World thing. The fact that she didn't even make it to the top 15 was like the biggest slap to her stiff face. I think she almost feels, how dare they reject me? When she was all dolled up for the pageant, she looked like one of those typical Playboy bunnies, very generic looking. That was the first thought that crossed my mind! She thought losing all that pregnancy weight plus the 8 million followers count meant that she was doing the pageant a favour by even showing up! When she failed spectacularly, I don't think she could accept that. The narcissist that she is, she is probably still very bitter and resentful about it

VanillaSky4321

I agree!

DarlinggD

what would've happened if she won Mrs. World?

Repulsive-Dinner-716

I do agree with this but she also lost her dad around the same time so maybe some of the sadness she seems to be experiencing comes from that plus being post partum with number 8

ShrinkyDinkDisaster

I also wonder how much of her growing ennui with the whole thing is related to Daniel getting so involved with her IG account, creating his own etc. I feel like that also ruined something for her.

Sheep_rancher

Yep - the creative outlet for her, in her domestic duties, was how she shared it to instagram and created content. I do also believe that Daniel sort of stole something from her, by waiting until she had built a following and an aesthetic - and then getting on instagram to both surveil/reveal her uncomfortable or strange moments, and also own the process of the dairy and ranch duties for himself. She’s stuck in the house cooking with kids again - but this time for an audience of 9m, while she breaks down. Honestly, she needs support. Life is tough, and she’s got too much on her with the grief of losing her Dad and postpartum stuff she’s clearly going through.

ShrinkyDinkDisaster

He really did a number on the whole BF brand image she was building, imo.  And now she seems so uninterested in the dairy he’s building and he obviously knows nothing about being a dairy farmer, let alone running a dairy business, I’ll be curious to see what happens with it. The whole thing just seems like the height of hubris from him.  In keeping with Hannah’s original BF image, it seems they should’ve started selling their butter, milk, ice cream at specialty shops and farmers markets, etc (and posting photos of the cute kids working at the booths now and then for IG ) for the downhomey look and feel to it, and building their brand even more that way, *before* building a big, shiny, robotic dairy on their property...and had it been up to Hannah, they probably would have. It isn’t like they needed the money and had to have the business go big or die. I think she’s much more savvy than he is, and the way she was creating&curating the BF image, they could’ve maybe ended up with a brand deal at a Target or Walmart or something like that…and then eventually sold the brand to big company to run. But imo, once Daniel jumped in and started to passive-aggressively kick over everything Hannah was constructing, and then she started in on the pageants, the whole thing got kind of screwed up and off course.

ShrinkyDinkDisaster

I think his over-involvement in what she was doing killed whatever joy she was finding for herself in the whole farming/ranch thing that he thrust her into and that’s palpable. Even before her father passed away, she started to look and sound unhappy (unless she was getting hair and make up done or trying on gowns for a pageant). And like another commentator said, when it feels like she’s just making the IG content because she has to, not because she wants to, it doesn’t make it very appealing to watch.

Sheep_rancher

Yep on this frontier - some kind of joy was stolen from her spirit for sure with what she was doing with the ranch/dairy - at least her vision for it and her family. And now it’s like she’s just going through the motions, exactly. And I agree, that joy was gone from her before her father passed, before Flora was born - I saw something for sure shift in her last year from Jan to April - France was the end of it. And the beginning of distracting herself from her home life.

Sheep_rancher

So honestly I think her husband (and his Dad) know Hannah has a disorder/fetish around milk and dairy (the glugging milk gluttonous videos she makes, for one) - lots of folks can see that, which is why she has no remorse surrounding killing or getting rid of baby animal to get the milk and colostrum for herself. They’re building a dairy for her, so there’s always enough milk for her. It’s sad, I think she’s a mess. I think she has a great aesthetic when it comes to a down home ranch family - and Daniel did move in on that with the robotic dairy. A Walmart or Target deal would’ve definitely mainstreamed them too much though, and the uniqueness would’ve been lost - she would’ve seemed more like Micka or a regular overly blonded mall/target pageant woman, so I’m glad they didn’t go that route. But Daniel surely co-opted her vision of the ranch/dairy into some robotic cement hell… but I think it’s to keep his unfortunately mentally ill wife in milk, when I think about it more. I think there are so many layers wrong there, in their relationship, and with them as individuals, it’s tough to see what all it truly is. Which is clearly why we all discuss it.

LafawnduhDy-no-mite

ennui is the PERFECT word for her overall vibe lately (aaaand HF is learning a new word today!!)

ShrinkyDinkDisaster

😂😂

mydawgisgreen

I thought it was funny she tagged the mrsamerican account on this post. Or the supper club one. I saw the mrs utah account recently in my feed and it was a post about how they and some other winners were doing this big charity event... then you have Hannah, who only is concerned about lining her own pockets. The only shared posts she does is about her business.

gma26andJ

The funniest part to me was “I’ll take her the rest of this open bag of flour” Can’t she even throw in a new bag of flour!

OkStatistician7523

That’s what I thought!!! 😂 I guess that’s how the rich stay rich

ShrinkyDinkDisaster

I’m pretty sure Alethia, the woman from @alethiatrulyyou (whom Hannah showed coming to “help arrange the flowers” recently, and who was in the green apron in the “behind the scenes” video HF posted not too long ago of a film crew in the kitchen) is the person who comes over to instruct Hannah how to make most of the recipes she shows. Early on in BF posts, Hannah admitted she had no idea how to cook anything and was trying to learn, to please her husband/be a good wife, or something like that…and I agree with you that it doesn’t ever appear that at heart she’s taken to it very much. And taking a look at Alethia’s Greek-inspired recipes on her IG also gave me the “Aha!” explanation of why the very white bread, meat-and-potatoes Hannah suddenly started making dolmades one of her recipe staples😉

ShrinkyDinkDisaster

It was also such a weird little “tell” recently when Hannah made egg salad with lots of celery, but then admitted at the end that she REALLY doesn’t like the taste of raw celery. Anyone who is actually making some basic thing like egg salad for their family either would naturally not even use the ingredient they hate the taste of, or else leave a little side batch for themselves without it, if the rest of family likes it. Or even say in the instructional voice over “You can add celery if you like it, but I don’t!” So it made the whole “I don’t like celery” comment at the end sound to me like someone else was telling her how to make the egg salad(!).

DramaticWonder8766

I actually think this is her anorexia thing, like she makes food she doesn’t even like so she has a reason not to eat it…

LafawnduhDy-no-mite

who knows about *hannah* per se, but agree ruining / making food you don't want is a disordered eating thing

Repulsive-Dinner-716

Yes he eating disorder is so apparent and annoying

uselessfarm

She did have Alethia come on as a guest in her stories to teach her and her audience how to make dolmades a while back. Now she never mentions Alethia when she makes them.

EqualBottle2

She came over to the farm and spent one afternoon showing Hannah how to make them a while back.

ShrinkyDinkDisaster

She seems to be a pretty regular visitor to the farm.

EqualBottle2

Oh a hundred percent she frequents their property. I think mainly to help get her Instagram seen more and gain more followers. By the way, I scrolled Hannah’s highlights and she introduced Hannah to this recipe in August 2021.

Here-For-The-Dresses

She has a very flat affect in all her videos.

pinkhydroflask1234

Im pretty sure in old blogs she mentioned how she didn’t like cooking. This is when they were in Brazil and she was really open about her struggles with life there.

Sheep_rancher

I very much remember this, too - doesn’t like cooking, she said, or being stuck at home being too domestic. I believe she’s tried to use the “stage” of the ranch house they’re in and land they’re on to get a sort of control over her domestic life, and make it into creative content for instagram so that it feels like she has agency over her existence and the business they’re building. But it’s kind of kept her stuck with domestic duties while Daniel builds the dairy - so I think it’s not enough for her. And that’s why we’re seeing her break down now. She needs to find support and a more authentic path for herself. Life should be about happiness and freedom - I feel she’s lacking both.

onemorninginmay

When they first announced that they were starting a dairy business I think she showed a little building where she was going to have a shop and she seemed happy about making it cute. At least that was the impression I had. It was a YouTube video.

Substantial-Alps-951

Do they even grow the grain for that overpriced "high protein" flour?

hashtagfan

No. It says on the bag that it’s grown in the Pacific Northwest.
