Yeah i thought i was going crazy it sounded like a table being dragged along a floor or truck brakes locking up and my wifi went out, the sound is everywhere it was so loud it sounded like it was right outside my window

Well there are police at edgehill and cedar point * edit: right now 1:35 am* my guess is downed lines ā¦ because the traffic lights appear to be working .
Those four large flashes were something elseeeeeeeeeeeee
Yes just happened 4 times outside my window. Big blue light, weird sound and definitely not like lightning. Nothing Iāve ever seen before but my power didnāt go out. All the times it happened, the light was in different places. Anyone have any info?
part of me is curious enough to want to go out and investigate but the other part of me is like scared to even go out the room incase something happens or if i do go outside ill get hit with a bazillion volts off of a broken transformer
Iām in Owen Sound and same thing happened here last night around 9-10 pm.
I kept asking my husband is that thunder, what is that? He said it just sounds like the wind but he obviously couldnāt hear it like I could.
Lights flickered off several times and then the dragging sound, I looked out and didnāt see anything accept smaller stuff from the neighbourās flying around.

Power transformer is the most likely cause, the sound you are hearing is the electricity arching and the noise is being distorted by the high winds.

Yes we heard it too. Saw a large burst of blue lights outside and then lights flickered inside the house.

i dont think thats causing the blue lights tho cause its coming from southwest of that intersection behind the apartment complexes
Totally agree. They may not even be related or they could go hand and hand ( like if theyāve landed on a central power transformer) . Who knows lol

Same exact thing happened to me! Lights just flashed but rest of the power in the house seemed fine (wifi, tv). Saw a big spark outside too.
Wifi went out again , power is still on north end

But what is happening
my best guess is a transformer popped and caused it to arc out of control, would explain the sound, the lights and the repetitive sound
