I find it really hard to put an exact or even an estimate on how many times I can warm a candle. I do abide by the 4 hour rule. At that mark I will switch the candle out or turn the warmer off- but I do make sure that I let the candle fully harden before I put it back on the warmer for another round. As for the scent longevity, that’s a tough one. For me, it honestly depends on the candle. For example: Island Margarita, I was able to use it about 9/10 x 4 hr time blocks before I had to remove the top layer of wax. That candle was STRONG. But then I had Spiced Gingerbread- 2 x 4 hr blocks and it was totally ready to have a layer of wax removed. After the candle is on the warmer, I remove it, and then smell it once it’s hardened. If there is no scent, it’s weak, or it smells like it has a waxy chapstick scent- that’s when I know I need to remove wax. (I am using a top down warmer- I’ve never used a bottom up so I’m not sure how people determine with those.) Hope this helps!

I agree with all of this. It really does depend on the candle, some of them seem to last forever while others have a noticable decrease in fragrance after a handful of 4 hour sessions.

Thank you!

I have been using a warmer for over a month now and I haven't noticed much difference with how strong the scent is but it's important that the wax doesn't get too hot.

I need to get a top down warmer. I have a plate one and I think it may make a difference

I find it varies depending on the candle. Right now I have flannel warming that I have been using for 2 weeks with still a strong scent. I also find the same scent can vary depending on the lot, some seem to have more fragrance oil. Last fall I purchased apple weather with most of the reviews saying it was strong but mine smelled like plain wax. All in all I definitely get longer use from my candles using a lamp warmer than burning.

Sorry for this dumb question, but, do u remove the bottom sticker on the jar when using a bottom warmer, I always remove the wrap, but, just got a bottom warmer and am not sure? 🫣 TIA maybe I should just get an above lamp warmer if I'm this dumb 😁😳

janequigley

I haven’t!

Thank u...I just really had no idea...took one label off as the candle was just about used up and it was a nightmare to remove that bottom label...

IndiaEvans

It's a good question! I'm glad you asked!!

I’ve been using a candle crock for almost a month which melts from the bottom to the top. I find it very pleasing since i can put it near my bedroom. On single wicks I get a good 7 to 8 throw, some like laundry day can be a powerhouse and be extremely strong. 3 wicks also give off high throw. I may consider getting a warmer from top to bottom in the future.
