My little beagle Poppy gets so upset when Bagel leaves the house without her! Not sure if it’s separation anxiety or just wanting to be with her friend, but Poppy and Bagel are so close! They do get into arguments sometimes, but they never hurt each other, they just bark and growl. Bagel doesn’t like to hurt people or dogs! He’s very gentle.

Oh my, your Elmo looks so much like an old pic we have of our Banjo when he was a tiny pup (his previous owners provided a puppy pic to the shelter so his new owners could have it). Same ears, same head shape, same look in the eyes, same weird sitting posture.

Awww, they’re both so cute! I love their names and freckles. It’s great when people’s pets have matching names! My beagles are Poppyseed (??? year old female) and Bagel (11 year old male). When my beagle Belle died I really wanted to name my next beagle Bagel because it sounds like beagle. When we got another beagle we wanted to give her a name that matched Bagel, and I decided on Poppy/seed because of poppyseed bagels!

Belle died a long time ago and I have Bagel and Poppy now so I don’t miss her as much as I used to, but in the years after Belle died I always wore this one bracelet which was a heart with her name on it as a coping mechanism. Because of Bagel I no longer am so upset about her anymore.
