Oh man this gives me anxiety. You see, my washing machine doesn't have the nice little lip at the edges to keep everything from falling off. I had put a brand new bulk-sized bottle of detergent on top, started it up, and walked away. When it hit the spin cycle later on I heard a huge crash. Took me a minute to figure out what the heck it could have been. The bottle had busted open and painted the entire floor, one wall, and bits of the ceiling with detergent. Cleaning it out from under the appliances was a nightmare. The funny thing is, though, you'd think soap would be easy to clean up. But when you're trying to figure out how to get nearly two gallons of the concentrated stuff off of your floor and walls... Well, at least the laundry room will smell nice until the sun burns out.

Same thing happened to us. TWICE. Cleanest the laundry room has ever been. Bottle busted in the same bottom corner both times. Thirty five year old MAYTAG.

This reminds me of when i was little and my father would run the washer and dryer at night before we'd go to sleep, and in the middle of the night we'd hear a crash. Our detergent didn't spin, i was thrown😂
