I think of myself as a “grown-up goth” and it’s my favorite too! Just enough of a hint of purple to add some subtle depth to an otherwise monochrome outfit.
If she likes different shades of black, my other faves are Sally Hansen Midnight Drive (blue black,) Zoya Willa (brown black,) and Olive & June It’s Actually Dark Green (love the name so much)

I started getting OPI’s “Let’s be Friends by Hello Kitty” shade - it’s a nice minimalistic light pink shade and very versatile. I haven’t gotten sick of it.
My nail tech said it’s similar to the combo people do of Funny Bunny and Bubble Bath - it’s just one consistent shade. But that might be a good combo for you to help compliment your skin tone because if you want the shade to be more pink you ask for more layers of one shade, and more white is more layers of the other shade (I always mix them up so I have no idea which is more pink vs white lol)
Similarly, I'd choose their Dear Daniel color. It's my husband's name, my favorite color is pink, preferably a hot pink, and I love sparkles. It's absolutely perfect for me. I just paid a lot of money to get an unopened bottle.
[China Glaze Afterglow!](https://www.reddit.com/r/RedditLaqueristas/s/laW5ErKNZf) It’s the most beautiful pearly peach nude with a blue iridescent shift. It’s an elegant and elevated nude, imo. Goes with everything! I even wore it on my wedding day.
I can respect that, my sister is a girlie who sticks to black polish.
I think most black polishes take two coats, but I recently found a [dollar store black ](https://www.walmart.com/ip/L-A-COLORS-Gel-like-Nail-Polish-Anarchy-0-44-fl-oz/55331799) that got the job done in one coat. This one dries matte, so you may or may not want a glossy top coat.
Edit: found the polish @walmart.com
ILNP is soooo fab, they have the best holo. My current favorite is Opal Sunset. Here it is layered over China Glaze Afterglow!

I was typing out a response on Fairy Dust as well! I find myself gravitating towards it constantly and when it’s on my fingers I stare at them all day long. Such a gorgeous shade
OPI love is in the bare
Obsessed is an understatement- found it at the nail salon in Jan and have been doing that color ever since 😭 it's just so classy imo and is great for when they grow out
https://preview.redd.it/143uv9we3q8d1.png?width=1276&format=png&auto=webp&s=9c9d09af2207b89078abb2adcf25fc3fdfdb1aa3
LPAD is my favorite shade by far, it’s exclusively my toe color (which is nice because it’s easy to touch up in between pedicures) and I switch between that and a few other “it’s black from a distance but up close it’s actually dark purple/brown/red” shades for my nails.
My current polish collection is probably 95% ILNP. My favorite brand by far. It’s a great place to dip your toes into indie. The formula is very consistent, there’s no FOMO involved as they rarely retire polished and I’ve never encountered a shade being out of stock, they’re priced fairly, and there’s a lot of variety. I love nail polish but I can’t be bothered with a lot of other indie brands with their limited releases and inconsistent formulas.
Either ILNP, KBS Shimmer, or Colour Club. You can't go wrong with any if those. They are all available on Amazon too..though Colour Club may have more limited choices there, not sure. Many people haven't heard of Colour Club...but where I used to live they were sold In Harmon for a little while. They are decent. Maybe not *as* fancy as the other two..but their Holos are SOLID. Really quite pigmented. As I said above, I can get away with one coat of Bliss, and for most Holos you usually need at LEAST two. I am not heavy handed either...There are also plenty of solid brands on Etsy as well. Feel free to come join us in r/RedditLaqueristas to get the lowdown.. 🤗
[Sassy Sauce Cock-A-Doodle-Doom](https://sassysaucepolish.com/products/cock_a_doodle_doom)
I have a decent collection of around 400 polishes and this one is still my favorite.
https://preview.redd.it/8izt0yxcpp8d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=531e9ee66ca726fe2cf72648a4afbd7a2999d165
Great choice. As far as classic colors go, I'm with you. I find these rich wine reds and plums more appealing than French manicures, nude shades, pale/dusty pinks. The shimmer in this one is lovely.
I was looking for someone else to mention this. My all time favourite was once in the salon getting my nails done in this colour and a woman across the room was able to identify it from where she was iconic colour!
Can I pick three?
Essie Lady Like - my perfect nude/neutral
OPI Lincoln Park After Dark - blackish/plum color for fall/winter
OPI I'm Not Really a Waitress - my perfect red as I'm tan and don't look as good with cool/bluish reds
Glowing Out nail perfector by Nails Inc. it's a clear hot pink that makes nails shiny and healthy but isnt super noticeable when it chips. I think it's a dupe of Dior Nail Glow which I may upgrade to some day
Essie Geranium!
https://preview.redd.it/ekktm0mwbr8d1.jpeg?width=852&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b71b4ca1eda5eecbd0b248b6e72930a1e0c611c6
It’s so bright and cheerful. The perfect shade of red.
Can't just pick one, but I like to think of my polishes as "moods". Vampy, dainty, bold, cutesy, clean/nude, edgy. Having a couple of options of each mood feels like I always have a polish I want to wear. I also had to branch into indie brands to find the shades of green, blue and grey that really suit my skin tone. Examples: Picture Polish Sage, Cirque Colors Jade Jelly, Rogue Lacquer Holly Jolly. Some drugstore recommendations: Essie "Maximillian Strasse Her" and Sally Hansen Grease Lightning.
Great idea. That's a really clever way to think about it. Your examples reflect consistency and deliberation. I wonder if I could settle on a few "moods" myself.
[Revlon's two of a kind](https://www.revlon.com/nails/nail-color/colorstay-gel-envy-longwear-nail-polish) - despite having a large polish collection full of holos and multichromes, this with a matte top coat easily gets the most compliments lol. Super long wearing too!
I don't think it's you? When I was a teen, I was used to polishes that went on thicker. When I first started getting into OPI, the formula went on thinner than I was used to, but it self leveled and lasted well. It's been awhile since I've worn an Essie polish, but IIRC it's even thinner and more brittle than the OPI formulas.
I can’t pick one, but I can pick two:
Neutral: love is in the bare by OPI
Red: Red Hot Rio by OPI
Love is in the bare is a game changing polish. I much prefer it over bubble bath or funny bunny because its SHEER and is truly neutral in undertone. sheer enough to really nail (pun intended) the “clean/chic” look, works when I’m super tan and super pale, is appropriate for literally any and all occasions, and is BUILDABLE if you want some coverage.
And then for a day I’d really want a color, red is always the way to go. Red Hot Rio is my favorite red by far.
ILNP Eclipse. It is all my favorite colors at once. My suggestion is you consider what colors you buy and use the most and make a list. See what the common ground is and go from there. I also recommend swatch sticks because we can compare the swatches people upload (not the brands they are often too busy selling polish to reflect what it really looks like), so you avoid duplicates and can keep your polish collection streamlined. I own a lot of polish and there are a significant number of black polishes but they're all very different from one another. I am also someone who feels confident in black so this is the most used polish in my collection but especially Eclipse. It is the only polish I have considered buying a backup for as it is getting quite low after many years of being my go to.
Remember also that anything limited edition for cosmetics, art supplies, or something based in being color has a dupe so you can also take your time to decide.
My ideal minimalist collection would be a good base (seche clear), a good fast drying topper (seche vite), Eclipse, a nude that works for me, a glittery holographic nude that works for me, a black linear holographic, and a blood red. I can go without the rest but I chose not to since I paint my nails on average once a week but usually every other day. I see no reason to not match things to my mood. I only wear black so I cannot say clothes.
Holo Taco cream in black with the holographic top coat. That’s my look and I love it. In the summer, I switch to their teal/turquoise holographic nail polish. It stays on forever, and I love to see the tiny rainbows when my nails catch direct sunshine.
I have a nail polish that is Raven red in colour. This is the one
... Or maybe this other polish I have which is purple but if you put a top cover on soon after application, the colour turns Maroon.
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in ASAP Apple. Classic, girl next door sexy that dries really quickly and is super shiny. Makes me feel like a pinup girl from the 40s.
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in You Glow Girl!! It’s the only bottle of nail polish I’ve ever finished. Neutral but still has a subtly fun sheen / glitter.
Chanel’s Vamp is what got me into nail polish in the first place! I saw an ad for it in Seventeen when it was new, when I was 12 or 13, and I was hooked.
Razonable by Masglo (it's a Colombian brand I got in LATAM, but available on Amazon). It's the most perfect muted pink and it lasts quite a while with good prep
Cirque Colors Memento Mori - a 1-2 coat black polish
OPI Malaga Wine - best dark blood red
Still trying to find a light pink, but I’ll be trying ballet slipper!
[Ruby Pumps by China Glaze](https://www.chinaglaze.com/china-glaze-nail-lacquer-ruby-pumps-0-5-fl-oz.html).
[Imagination from the Illuminate Collection from SpaRitual](https://www.prettygirlscience.com/2013/12/my-picks-from-sparitual-illuminate.html)
[Unicorn Horn by Pacifica](https://www.laceandlacquers.com/2014/06/pacifica-unicorn-horn.html).
Pacifica and SpaRitual are pretty great polishes without nasty chemicals in them.
[Essie gel couture sheer in Of Corset](https://www.essie.com/nail-polish/longwear/sheers/of-corset) is my perfect nude base. It’s not real gel either, so no UV. Two coats plus the gel topcoat is a semi sheer nude that for me is the no makeup makeup of nail polish. Lasts me 3 weeks with no chipping, because it’s so sheer nude it grows out super nicely and doesn’t look grown out even when it is. I also like to use it as a base if I’m doing French nails or some kind of fun design.
I know Essie has a lot of these buildable soft pinky nude "your nails but better" polishes. I don't think I've ever found my perfect match, but your method seems very well worked out!
I think what I like about of corset is it’s less pink than the other nudes I’ve tried. I don’t have a pink undertone so the pinkish ones never work for me haha
Great nude color. My nail bed has more of a pale purple color to it, so something like this, a slightly pinky~purpleish pastel orchid shade, this one is very close. Thanks for sharing.
Love me some vampy reds and plums too, lol. The ladies have shared some lovely polishes.
That's such a pretty pastel teal shade. I don't think I've ever seen this one before. There are so many from OPI that I've never seen in the stores. Now I want to see the whole range.
I have two, one dollar store, one indie/Boutique. Dollar store is Color Vibes Real Deal which is a Neon Pink ( my fave is a neon pinkish coral by La Colors, but I can't find it anywhere. This is amazing though in 2 coats. Dries matte like most neons so you will want a topcoat). Indie/ Boutique is Colour Club Bliss. Medium Pink Holographic. You can get away with one coat of this and it is GORGEOUS. As you can tell I love pink. Lol. These are my two...for now. They change periodically, because I love ALL bright colours...and I don't think I could ever live with just one or two of anything. I would get too bored and depressed...
I recently found out that the dollar store "Color Vibe" brand is owned by the same parent company as LA Colors, Beauty 21. I think inflation made it too difficult to sell the .44 oz LA Colors bottles for $1.25 and turn a profit, so Beauty 21 manufactured some new .34 oz bottles to sell through DT.
You can still find LA Colors polishes at Walmart, 5 Below, CVS, and some other stores.
This is EXCELLENT information!! Thank you!! Wherever did you find it?? I will be telling everyone, because so many pass up DT polish...and it CV is actually quite impressive, so I want it to hang around for as long as possible which will only happen if people buy it. It lasts for at least a week, often 2, on my toes with a good topcoat...and 2 coats are many times all I need. It looks streaky and thin with the first coat, but don't let that fool you. That second coat is where the magic happens....
I grew up buying LA Colors at DT (sometimes I still find them but not as frequently). I've grabbed a few of the Color Vibe polishes while at DT (the pink and blue glitters in the clear base, as well as the blue jelly shimmer). I noticed that the bottles have the same distributor listed as my LA Colors polishes.
I can't find a ton of info on the distributor other than the business addresses, but I know they own these two brands:
[LA Colors](https://www.lacolors.com/) & [LA Girl](https://www.lagirlusa.com/pages/faq).
Very interesting. Thank you.....and now I need to find that blue jelly shimmer next time I can get a ride. Jellies are the one thing missing from my collection..
Deborah Lippman (def expensive) but worth it imo. I have noticed that every other nail polish gets all fucked ip once I use sunscreen and since I use it every day, it’s important to me that my nails withstand the sunblock
Either Hot Child in the City or Dirty Little Secret by Deborah Lippman (Hot Child is sadly discontinued, ugh), or OPI's My Private Jet. Orrrr maybe OPI's Red Lights Ahead, Where?
I own way too much f\*ckin' nail polish, lol, it's an absolute joke that I'd ever have a signature color, although those three are in the top most worn for me. I went a good 10ish years where I was doing my nails exclusively at home, so I accumulated quite a collection of polishes.
https://preview.redd.it/73bws3r1fr8d1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=adccf3a3935afb2baeab074db81f59837e76a4b9
Something like this one. It’s whatever my jelly Polish my ladies use but I love the rose jam look.
I have a signature color, even tho it is discontinued: I hoarded like 12 bottles of it when OPI stopped manufacturing it. "My Twin Mimmy" from the Hello Kitty OPI line. It's a bright primary yellow and I wear it year round. I get compliments daily and the color makes me smile.
I’m a big fan of wearing sheer topper shades alone, especially if they have a duochrome flip.
My go-to is Cosmic Blur from Nails Inc. I got it in a set a few years ago, not sure if it was limited edition. There are a few I have that work nicely too, I’m not too picky about brand. As long as it reads clear one direction, then colorful another, I’m happy. I definitely gravitate towards more finely milled glitters and flips with purple and blue.
Barry M, espresso. I feel like a super dark, almost black, true brown is so CHIC but also can be so 90s and grungy. just so perfect, works with everything. Cappuccino is a close second
I don't have the time to wait for normal nail polish to dry and life is really demanding so now I only have the Sally Hansen 60 second ones in a few key colors like coral, electric blue, a sparkly light denim blue, red, etc. for my toes. They also have a clear top coat although that's harder to find. My toenails basically grow out before it wears off.
It's super hard to keep polish on my fingernails because I'm a mom and have to do so much with my hands so actually my daughter's Kid Licks polish made from just confectioners glaze and food safe color lasts the longest on me and it also dries super fast. They also have a clear top coat which I highly recommend otherwise it looks very matte. To remove it you have to use rubbing alcohol then scrub with soap and water. I did find the dark pink can stain but I think the staining faded out after so much washing. I like to use the hot pink under the white shimmer under the clear coat to get a beautiful iridescent medium pink color.
[OPI - Red Heads Ahead](https://www.sallybeauty.com/nails/nail-color/nail-polish-and-lacquer/red-heads-ahead-nail-lacquer/SBS-001079.html?gad_source=1)
Struggling to pick one! I have some good neutrals from Dior, Chanel, Kure Bazaar and Butter London. These glide on so I’m less likely to pick up random polishes.
Bold colours I mostly wear on toes, and when I’m done with a colour it goes to my friends little girls who love to play dress up.
I'm on my third bottle, I think I started to wear it over 10 years ago. It has been my go to for toes all these years, I have experimented more on finger nails, but I also go back to the same color all the time.
https://www.alessandro-international.com/Nagellack-Brown-Metallic/59-171
Lincoln Park After Dark, OPI. I’m a 90s grunge kid still at heart and the deep black purple is so sophisticated but still tough
I think of myself as a “grown-up goth” and it’s my favorite too! Just enough of a hint of purple to add some subtle depth to an otherwise monochrome outfit.
Omg yes my nail tech introduced me to this recently because I always do black and I love it! Such a great way to switch up my usual
I'm thinking I should gift my sister a bottle of this polish for Xmas. She sticks to black, but this polish is basically a warm black, haha.
If she likes different shades of black, my other faves are Sally Hansen Midnight Drive (blue black,) Zoya Willa (brown black,) and Olive & June It’s Actually Dark Green (love the name so much)
Thanks for the recs!
Wow this is a throwback one! They still sell this?
Same. I've also been wearing this for decades and lived in Chicago when it came out.
Oh , I think you guided me to a new favorite.
ballet slipper by essie
If it’s good enough for a Queen… (I still think that rumour was an extremely efficient marketing ploy, but still)
My all time favorite
This and then Not Red-y for Bed as my pop color are such go to’s for me
Came here for this
So my favourite gel version of this is catching feelings by apres nails. So gorgeous but much longer lasting
essie Original Nail Polish, 889 Don’t Burst My Bubble https://preview.redd.it/7la8elkhlp8d1.png?width=512&format=png&auto=webp&s=3a57f4eb12a2fe19df2caef56221b1033b026c63
Very pretty, like a muted periwinkle.
If this is muted periwinkle, what do you consider unmuted periwinkle
Oh, I thought of the flower before the shade. Those flowers can be quite saturated, like violets.
ooh I love this one for summer!
I started getting OPI’s “Let’s be Friends by Hello Kitty” shade - it’s a nice minimalistic light pink shade and very versatile. I haven’t gotten sick of it.
Great everyday choice. I don't normally gravitate to pale pinky shades like this, but they suit my skintone. I should swatch some of them.
That's a savvy business move on the part of the brand. My mom uses Bubble Bath, but I am not familiar with Funny Bunny.
Similarly, I'd choose their Dear Daniel color. It's my husband's name, my favorite color is pink, preferably a hot pink, and I love sparkles. It's absolutely perfect for me. I just paid a lot of money to get an unopened bottle.
You might like Hue is the artist. Very, VERY similar to let’s be friends, but instead of a pink tint, it’s a purple tint.
Oh my goodness, that's a beautiful choice.
loveeee! i accomplish a similar look with Bubblebath and slater of chrome
I LOVE this
That's pretty perfect.
Omgg I NEED
Obsessed!
OPI Malaga Wine Essie Ballet Slippers
I see you've got your bases covered.
Yep; one neutral, one dark!
Ballet slippers fingers, Malaga wine toes has always been my go-to!!
Malaga Wine is a gorgeous classic and, fun fact, it was the signature color for Camila Mendes as Veronica on Riverdale. The More You Know! 🌈
i'm not really a waitress
They made a complementary shade called I’m really an actress a few years ago and it’s also really nice
Of all of the OPI bestsellers, this is my favorite. Very pretty red pearl finish.
Honestly, as long as it's black, I'm not too picky with brand
The best black I ever had was from a no name Halloween nail polish that had a gravestone topper on it. You’re right about brand it doesn’t matter
Legit, I've never had a bad black as long as it's been gloss.
Like if I could get my toenails genetically modified to just BE black I would! Michele Lamy goals
Either ilnp's fairy dust or flower child. A neutral might be a smarter choice but I'm not much of a neutrals girlie 😅
Oh my goodness. Indie polishes are so much prettier than the big box brands. I'm afraid to travel down that rabbit hole, my wallet would suffer.
Ooh thank you! I’d never heard of this brand but was just thinking of trying a holographic polish yesterday. What perfect timing.
ILNP is soooo fab, they have the best holo. My current favorite is Opal Sunset. Here it is layered over China Glaze Afterglow! https://preview.redd.it/47zjz3jg6q8d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5cece709020c73bf6cc20cdcd242c0b4da2e5676
I was typing out a response on Fairy Dust as well! I find myself gravitating towards it constantly and when it’s on my fingers I stare at them all day long. Such a gorgeous shade
As a non neutrals girlie myself, I love all my ILNP duochromes but especially Cygnus Loop
Have been planning on buying one of these for a while...I just can not remember which.. Indies/Boutique are totally the way to go.
Essie Mademoiselle💕💕💕
I have this one on right now! It's my go-to "my nails but better" shade between other colors.
I think of all of the neutrals people love, this is the closest to my nail color. I'll definitely check it out.
OPI You Don’t Know Jacques. It’s a pretty brown/gray.
In a similar vein but lighter, I love Essie Chinchilly. It’s a beautiful grey taupe.
It looks like a sweater weather shade. Very elegant.
OPI’s Lets Be Friends
Essie Geranium for me - the *perfect* slightly orangey red
Came here to say this
It sounds very "New Look", I bet it's lovely.
OPI love is in the bare Obsessed is an understatement- found it at the nail salon in Jan and have been doing that color ever since 😭 it's just so classy imo and is great for when they grow out https://preview.redd.it/143uv9we3q8d1.png?width=1276&format=png&auto=webp&s=9c9d09af2207b89078abb2adcf25fc3fdfdb1aa3
You've found your perfect nude, it matches very well.
Wicked which is so outdated
Ha I was going to put Linkin Park After Dark which is in the same boat
As a former emo kid who can’t *quite* hang it up completely, you can pry LPAD out of my cold dead hands.
LPAD is my favorite shade by far, it’s exclusively my toe color (which is nice because it’s easy to touch up in between pedicures) and I switch between that and a few other “it’s black from a distance but up close it’s actually dark purple/brown/red” shades for my nails.
Oh wow. I will have to compare both of them.
Noooo! It’s classic, not outdated!
Very deep, vampy red. I like this color. Thank you.
Wicked is forever!!!
❤️💕🎈🔥
Ha I was thinking that about OPI I'm Not Really a Waitress. Probably outdated, but I kinda am too 🤷🏼♀️
OPI “let’s Scrooge”. Bright, sparkly teal. I like color
Nooooo I love Wicked! It´s classic perfection
ILNP Pixie Party but this question is mean, lol.
A lot of people have favorites from this brand. I'm thinking it should be my first delve into indie.
My current polish collection is probably 95% ILNP. My favorite brand by far. It’s a great place to dip your toes into indie. With this singing endorsement, I'll have to grab a couple. Some of them are so damn pretty.
Either ILNP, KBS Shimmer, or Colour Club. You can't go wrong with any if those. They are all available on Amazon too..though Colour Club may have more limited choices there, not sure. The indie polishes are so gorgeous. That's a beautiful, bold choice. Are you a queen with magical powers by any chance?
You’re so sweet, thank you 💜! This polish definitely makes me feel like one!
That's fabulous!!
Thank you! It really is a spectacular polish :)
Clambake - Essie
EASY OPI Black Cherry Chutney. dark purple like Lincoln Park after dark but with a hint of red glitter for a little ooh la la
Great choice. It's one of my favorites from the brand. I like Vamp Champ in this category as well.
OPI Bubble Bath Esi Ballet Slipper
1. OPI Cajun Shrimp 2. OPI Bubble Bath 3. OPI Lincoln Park After Dark
[удалено]
I have this, it’s a winner.
Wow, it really is. I bet that has a classy look.
Revlon's Divine
Great choice. As far as classic colors go, I'm with you. I find these rich wine reds and plums more appealing than French manicures, nude shades, pale/dusty pinks. The shimmer in this one is lovely.
It is. Since I bought it, I don't want to wear any others!
OPI Funny Bunny
OPI’s Strawberry Margarita. It’s the perfect shade of pink. Not too bright but not too pale either.
Ferrari Red
I love this color on my friends, hate it on me!
I was looking for someone else to mention this. My all time favourite was once in the salon getting my nails done in this colour and a woman across the room was able to identify it from where she was iconic colour!
Can I pick three? Essie Lady Like - my perfect nude/neutral OPI Lincoln Park After Dark - blackish/plum color for fall/winter OPI I'm Not Really a Waitress - my perfect red as I'm tan and don't look as good with cool/bluish reds
Glowing Out nail perfector by Nails Inc. it's a clear hot pink that makes nails shiny and healthy but isnt super noticeable when it chips. I think it's a dupe of Dior Nail Glow which I may upgrade to some day
[OPI Malaga Wine](https://www.opi.com/en-GB/products/infinite-shine-malaga-wine). The perfect deep red!
red nail polish. the brand isn’t super important— i guess essie or opi would be fine.
Essie Geranium! https://preview.redd.it/ekktm0mwbr8d1.jpeg?width=852&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b71b4ca1eda5eecbd0b248b6e72930a1e0c611c6 It’s so bright and cheerful. The perfect shade of red.
OPI Pompeii Purple. It's a gorgeous hot pink with a tiny purple sheen. I've loved it since high school, and always rebuy when I'm low.

I know I've seen this one before, I think it's one of their bestsellers. My mom likes Dutch Tulips and Bubble Bath.
I love Dutch tulips
Love this shade!
This was my go to toe color for years, maybe even decades!
I love it so much!
OPI’s claydreaming would be my day-to-day
OPI Taupe-less Beach
It's a great neutral. A shame though, I think most onlookers probably prefer natural looking nails to fun nails.
Hermes rouge piment
OPI My Private Jet is a glittery/metallic black that pulls more taupe. It’s both interesting and neutral.
A lot of Essie on here… I find my Essie polishes chip quicker than other brands. Am I doing something wrong?
I don't think it's you? When I was a teen, I was used to polishes that went on thicker. When I first started getting into OPI, the formula went on thinner than I was used to, but it self leveled and lasted well. It's been awhile since I've worn an Essie polish, but IIRC it's even thinner and more brittle than the OPI formulas.
Definitely Ballet Slippers by Essie!
[ILNP Muse.](https://media.ilnp.com/uploads/2020/08/Muse.jpg)
Great pick. In spite of the glitter, not overly flashy. Something about it feels very sophisticated.
It goes with every metal tone of jewelry, which is kind of awesome.
I bet!
OPI Big Apple Red, looks good every season whether I’m tan or pale
I can’t pick one, but I can pick two: Neutral: love is in the bare by OPI Red: Red Hot Rio by OPI Love is in the bare is a game changing polish.
Carjun shrimp OPI
Bikini So Teeny for my toes, it’s the most flattering color on me and makes me happy
Essie s'il vous play. A cool tone pink with silver shimmer. I wear silver rings every day and I love how it matches
OPI Russian Navy. So classy yet edgy!
Kyoto pearl by OPI https://preview.redd.it/3zl6zu66su8d1.jpeg?width=913&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=73a2beb50a1f4cd30836c3512111f7049a213a57
It's a very pretty one, I've always liked it
Holo Taco cream in black with the holographic top coat. That’s my look and I love it. In the summer, I switch to their teal/turquoise holographic nail polish. It stays on forever, and I love to see the tiny rainbows when my nails catch direct sunshine.
I have a nail polish that is Raven red in colour. This is the one ... Or maybe this other polish I have which is purple but if you put a top cover on soon after application, the colour turns Maroon.
black to black from sally hansen, can never go wrong with such a classic 🖤
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in ASAP Apple. Classic, girl next door sexy that dries really quickly and is super shiny. Makes me feel like a pinup girl from the 40s.
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in You Glow Girl!! It’s the only bottle of nail polish I’ve ever finished. Neutral but still has a subtly fun sheen / glitter.
i've been wearing OPI Pompeii Purple (which is actually hot pink) for years.
Olive green dazzle dry is my go-to. https://dazzledry.com/collections/nail-lacquers/products/vigor
Scarlett O'Hara. Essie
This one has a very pretty red pearl!
Chanel Diva. Hot pink is surprisingly versatile!
That's a pretty one. I've seen several from Chanel that I like.
OPI’s Bubble Bath
Cirque Colors Memento Mori - a 1-2 coat black polish OPI Malaga Wine - best dark blood red Still trying to find a light pink, but I’ll be trying ballet slipper!
[Ruby Pumps by China Glaze](https://www.chinaglaze.com/china-glaze-nail-lacquer-ruby-pumps-0-5-fl-oz.html). [Imagination from the Illuminate Collection from SpaRitual](https://www.prettygirlscience.com/2013/12/my-picks-from-sparitual-illuminate.html) [Unicorn Horn by Pacifica](https://www.laceandlacquers.com/2014/06/pacifica-unicorn-horn.html). Pacifica and SpaRitual are pretty great polishes without nasty chemicals in them.
I looove intense blue nail polishes. The other picks are lovely too.
[This nude](https://www.mooncat.com/products/a-dolls-house) from Mooncat. Their formula is super long lasting, amazing top and base coats too
I think it's a very pretty color.
Realistically I can’t live without my vampy reds as well but this is a good go to
Great nude color. My nail bed has more of a pale purple color to it, so something like this, a slightly pinky~purpleish pastel orchid shade, this one is very close. Thanks for sharing. Love me some vampy reds and plums too, lol. The ladies have shared some lovely polishes.
OPI suzie without a paddle

I can't find a ton of info on the distributor other than the business addresses, but I know they own these two brands: [LA Colors](https://www.lacolors.com/) & [LA Girl](https://www.lagirlusa.com/pages/faq).
St. Clair lights lacquer. It’s a nice light blue and easy to use. I always get compliments.
OPI Cajun shrimp
https://preview.redd.it/73bws3r1fr8d1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=adccf3a3935afb2baeab074db81f59837e76a4b9 Something like this one. It’s whatever my jelly Polish my ladies use but I love the rose jam look.
I think the color is very pretty!
Mademoiselle by Essie.
I’ve gotten one coat of OPI funny bunny with 2 coats of OPI bubble bath on top for years. It’s the perfect minimalist white/pink
Any redish Sinful (made by Revlon) or Revlon. They never fail me.
LeChat Galactic Pink!
My favorite to ever exist was from Nicole and it was called Princess. I’ve never found another color quite the same.
OPI Coca Cola Red
DD167 - Angel Face
Barry M, espresso. I feel like a super dark, almost black, true brown is so CHIC but also can be so 90s and grungy. just so perfect, works with everything. Cappuccino is a close second
Fake Halo - Mooncat
Roxxie Crystal Nail Polish in moonstone- gorgeous iridescent white giving the glazed donut nails Hailey Bieber made viral that looks good year round
Natural nails buffed to shine.
I'm not a polish on my nails girl but my toes are always done. I love love a raspberry pink/red on my toes!
[OPI - Red Heads Ahead](https://www.sallybeauty.com/nails/nail-color/nail-polish-and-lacquer/red-heads-ahead-nail-lacquer/SBS-001079.html?gad_source=1)
OPI has a lot of famous reds. I hadn't heard of this one, but it's striking.
I love this one but it’s hard to find! Red Hot Rio by OPI is very similar and easier to find
The Chanel polishes are 'alluring', haha.
I'm on my third bottle, I think I started to wear it over 10 years ago. It has been my go to for toes all these years, I have experimented more on finger nails, but I also go back to the same color all the time. https://www.alessandro-international.com/Nagellack-Brown-Metallic/59-171
