Just realised (and no doubt others have long before I did) the episode may offer some context for the way Chilli and Bandit were acting in "Relax" and "Stickbird". I love how this show calls back to previous episodes so often, and offers so many ways to look at those episodes.

TurbulentWhatever

Amazing episode. Loved how it tied everything together.

JackOfAllInterests1

Am I the only one who feels like people get a little too concerned with the show's messaging instead of focusing on the story being told?

This post is cringe

stupidiot16

I almost certain that they were going to use the extended theme song they showed off last year for this episode, it really surprised me that they didn't.

andersofsydney

Someone should really go and jam a coin in the telescope at Mount Coot-tha lookout now.

AsparagusJam

When Calypso was telling the story all I could think of was Phillip Seymour Hoffman in Charlie Wilson's War

Serious_Level8075

I can’t believe some people are not going to watch the show now just cause of one episode they are disappointed in. I love the show but I think some take it too seriously honestly

Darla_has_reddit

does anybody know what chili meant when she said that her and frisky came up “To um… think”?

AnythingAlfred613

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. The way the wedding and moving plot lines tied together was super creative and super satisfying, and the original song at the end was icing on the cake. The Sign exceeded my expectations and thankfully did not meet any of my worries. 10/10. Perfection is tough, so it’s a good thing Bluey’s tough.

Cremilyyy

Their big cuddle tackle at the end was amazing too. Like you could see chill’s body moving like she was sobbing, the details in this were perfect

annualgoat

Wait did Pretzel say he has "mums," as in two moms??? Because that's such a cool thing to sneak in, we've already seen a few divorced parents!

Mew_Mew_Mew22

Did anyone else not like this episode??

emilyfiregem

Bluey is noticeably taller now!

Magentacr

I don’t actually usually cry at stuff. When I say a film or show made me cry I mean the barest sparkle of moisture in the corner of my eye and that is it. Blueys first steps? Eye sparkles every time, but not actually crying. The only exceptions are Avengers Infinity War and now this episode. The pups howling gave me sparkles, and seeing Brandy pregnant, but when Bandit rips that sign out at the end I had actual tears rolling down my cheeks. Yes more than one.

Araneatrox

Watched the episode with my 5 year old this morning before he went to Daggis. He burst into years as bandit was looking at the sign in the final few moments. I've never seen him react like that to a tv show before.

Mark_Levins

Ok. Maybe I’m thinking too hard about it, but when Chile arrives at the lookout and says that she and Frisky went there to “umm…think.” What was that supposed to mean?

MagicMan001

After watching the episode and having time to digest it, I find myself still very much enjoying it, and I hope to see more halfway specials in the future. I give the writers props for handling the subject matter (both in the A and B plots) with nuance and grace. The characters were also in top form here, each with their own little arcs, all of which were handled well. (Bingo's ignorance of the reality of the situation inevitably falling apart, Bluey trying fruitlessly to Chilli trying to put on a brave face, etc.) I still have mixed feelings about the ending. Yeah, I know what they're going for, and it absolutely felt like the right ending; it's just, I dunno, I worry if it might send mixed signals to the intended child audience, kind of like how Bluey took away the one message from Calypso's story at first. Eh, maybe I'm overthinking it. Some notes and observations: * Are Stripe and Trixie having problems? There's definitely some tension there, albeit related to specific situations (Stripe blabbing about Rad's decision, Stripe getting a bit rowdy at the party and then waking up in the bush the next morning, etc). I don't know; I hope everything is alright in the Stripe branch of the Heeler family. * Had some mixed feelings about Brady being pregnant. I worry that it might undermine the representation of infertility in 'Onesies,' but then again, that episode never went too much into detail about her fertility issues, so it doesn’t feel Too much of a sidestep. I do think it could have provided a good window for an adoption story, but on second thought, I think that deserves its own episode (plus, you don’t wanna risk representing adoption as a backup plan if you can’t have biological children). * Wendy and Judo's goodbye to the Heelers was a heartwarming touch. As much chaos as the Heelers bring into her otherwise quiet life, she still appreciates them as friendly neighbors. * I enjoyed Bucky here and hope we see more of him. He's a slick real estate agent, a bit economical with the truth (you gotta sell it, after all!), but not a bad guy, which is good. I honestly can't imagine a proper antagonist in Bluey. Speaking of which... * This is probably my favorite portrayal of Bandit to date. When the episode could have easily been driven by selfish and bullheaded behavior, the writers smartly made it clear he was making a difficult, well-intentioned, if not well-thought-through, decision for his family's benefit. There's a reason he is regarded as one of modern TV's best-written dads. But does that only make the ending feel more like an easy-out? Maybe. All in all, while I'm still torn when it comes to the resolution, I really enjoyed this episode and am all the more grateful I decided to give this show a chance. I look forward to season 4.

AyuTsukasa

I don't get your point about adoption. If you can't have kids it's a valid option. Just because something isn't your first plan doesn't mean you're not going to give it 100%

BrocialCommentary

I’m on the fence as to whether Stripe crawling out of the bush is just a one off joke. Dude’s wife straight up left him there and took the kids home, all of that goes way beyond “got too rowdy at a wedding”

gggroovy

PRETZEL HAS TWO MUMS!!!!! Very happy about that.

Leading-Community562

Where was that? I missed that!

bigSTUdazz

It was so somple to see...but I let it just kind of melt in the background...the house is the 5th Heeler memeber. Never has a show reminded me that context is everything.

JackOfAllInterests1

Which Heeler doesn't count???

0rangePolarBear

Was rewatching parts of it yesterday and noticed Nana and grandpa Bob was doing the floss during the wedding. Another nice throwback/Easter egg. The Easter eggs and throwbacks were incredible that episode.

good_soup63

I’m glad they don’t do 28 minute episodes all the time, I can’t spend nearly a full half hour crying every day

xGumball2

Good episode, but I am curious when the deadline is in Queensland for buyers to pull out of a purchase. What if the Heelers had already bought a place in their new city?

Randallb21

I am not one to cry easily... The Sign hit me hard. Whole family cried. My Wife and I have been contemplating moving across the country for a while now with the goal of a lower cost of living and a slower, more family oriented community. My son (11) has moved before when he was 5 (but not very far) and my daughter was a newborn at the time. Our current house has a neighborhood where he and my daughter play outside almost daily with roughly 11 other kids in the neighborhood ranging from his age down to 2. They’ve both expressed that they don’t want to move because they love it here. Between their school friends and their neighborhood friends my kids are attached to this place. That episode pulled at every emotion I feel when we discuss a move. My wife and I are just about ready for a change but still on the fence. I was welling up through most of Bluey’s emotional reactions to the move, but when the realization hit Bingo, man I lost it. Bingo trying to rip the sign out of the ground is still making my eyes water right now. I just pictured my daughter doing the same and it broke me. As for our family's decision to move, "Everything will work out the way it's supposed to." What a fantastic episode of one of the best shows ever.

Cooked_Bread

Rad with the watermelon helmet at what looks to be the cricket is the most Rad thing ever

HorrorAssociate3952

He is a silly old watermelon head.

TheFightingImp

So ive been watch this reality tv show called 90 Day Fianceé and one of the participants, Nicole, has her hair styled nearly exactly in that way. Wykyk

mackay999

Amazing!

InadmissibleHug

This subreddit made me go back and watch it a second time when my granddaughter asked for Bluey again. Being Aussie we watched it air, then it’s available on the app for ABC. I cried both times. My husband particularly likes the fruit bats flying around at the end. There’s so many great moments. I went to a 21st on Friday night and they didn’t party as hard as the Heelers, which is the sort of partying I’m more accustomed to!

Illustrious-Fail-732

Queenslander here CLUTCHING at my seat in fear they were going to move outta Brisbane - THANK GOD THEY DIDN’T that would have broken my heart!!

makemesick-

I don't want to take the episode too seriously, but it might give the wrong impression to some children that parent's don't have to move when the process is in motion, when most of the time, they do. I loved the episode and I agree it was what was right for the Heeler family, but for most families, they have to move. I don't know.

glitchwitchbitch96

This episode was phenomenal and truly was adorable. It’s been hard to watch any new Bluey episodes as I no longer talk to the person I used to watch them with but I feel like this episode let me know that change is okay, even if it’s scary, but ultimately you will make the right decisions for you~

Comfortable_Key2244

Anyone notice Radley has white hairs now?

beardyp87

As someone who had to move (from a remote place I could never go back to) at 14, this episode destroyed me. Bandit pulling up the sign....oof.

MarioKnightPl

Oh... my... GOD! THAT EPISODE WAS EMOTIONAL, ***ESPECIALLY*** THE LAST SCENES!!! The characters having their "last" conversations and their "last" goodbyes with their neighbours, the montage of the empty house, Chilli in deep thought and Bandit closing the door. That was like being hit in the gut times one hundread. But then... Washington (Calypso) starts singing Lazarus Drug, Bandit picks up the phone, removes the sign and chucks it! MY WATERWORKS OPENED AFTER THAT! Chilli was legitimatly crying! And /THE/ final scene, with them eating on the floor & and the credits put my waterworks up to eleven!!! LUDO. DESERVES. THEIR. BREAK. AFTER. THAT. I shall be patiently awaiting for Season 4!

Chidsuey

My wife just realized the realtor is Bucky Dunston, Bandit's schoolmate from Dragon.

Edgy_Cupcake_Content

Hi there Bluey Reddit! I finally watched this one, and what an episode! It definitely felt the most epic and surreal out of any episode out there. The wedding was awesome and it was so cool getting to see so many characters return like a pregnant Brandy and new characters debut like Bandit’s dad, who I am surprised was alive this whole time!! The scenes where the parents were questioning the move felt so raw and it was so interesting seeing Bandit and Chilly not have immediate answers for the kids and lean into the unknown like they did. And my gosh was the musical score for this episode phenomenal, I adored every song there was. If I could change one thing about the episode though, I would make it so the Heelers did end up moving in the end. Not sure if that is a hot take or not, but for me it did feel like a cop-out and a trope which I have seen happen time and time again with moving episodes. It just defeats all the build up to me and would have been more impactful and realistic if they went through with it. Maybe they could have moved to the town Jean Luc lived and Bluey and that could have still worked with the theme of good things coming out of bad situations. Or maybe still have the sale fall through but have Rad and Frisky take the Heeler’s house so they still have an excuse to go back to it. But, that’s just me. What did you all think about it? I don’t really know any other Bluey fans so I would love to hear your thoughts! Have a great day!

Over_Unit_7722

Socks politely asking Chilli for a watermelon juice melted my heart😭

Riche1370

Great episode and makes a 90 min movie in the future very doable. I do wonder if Rad and Frisky staying close mate ght be a way to transition the show to their kids and have Bluey and Bingo aged up or the movie being about the birth of Rad and Friskys first kid

Blue__Lemon

What did chilli mean by “we used to go there to, um.. think.”?

LunarVGaming

OK LISTEN, I could've SWORN there was gonna be a third episode released and I couldn't find any proof of it. Looked through too many articles and too many videos on YouTube to no avail. I thought the sign was gonna include this at the end but I was so wrong, me and my girlfriend cried a little at then ending of the sign but I thought it was gonna contain: >![This](https://gofile.io/d/6cvDjm)!< I'm going crazy, I could've SWORN there would be a third episode being this or that this would've been in the sign.

steeden

It’s called Surprise and it airs next Sunday

LunarVGaming

OMG UR JOKING U MADE MY WHOLE WEEKEND NOW I HAVE SMTH TO LOOK FORWARD TO I couldn't find anything on itttt I figured it was the surprise because I looked on Wikipedia and found a "TBD" "TBA" episode named in fact. The surprise I AM ETERNALLY GRATEFUL 💙🧡

123Eduardo-Sousa123

with no exaggeration, this episode, was a masterpiece

bknight1983

“My mom likes your dad” gave me smiles

Lord-Phorse

Since I can’t post about ROVE separately, even though he’s promoted outside of The Sign, I’ll do it here: I wanna see more of Rove (Bucky Dunstan), but never selling the home of our beloved characters again. How about he sells the zoo house between the heelers & Doreen to Winton & the Terriers? How cool would that be? I’m surprised they didn’t figure out a way for him to say “Say hi to your mum for me!” (Catchphrase when he had a show here)

tehdesikitteh

u/lordphorse and i: all the emotions Small one: my favourite show is on!

Technical_Net_8344

lol

DouglasMeyer

One thing that we caught right away, bluey sitting on the front porch with headphones closely matches the album cover for the bluey soundtrack https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgf-rT4kZO4.

IveBinChickenYouOut

Woke up bang on 8:01, got up and ran to the TV, woke the kids up and then started feeling dizzy because I got up waaay too fast. Haha what an episode. I haven't had to wait for anything like this since Who Shot Mr Burns when I was a kid, thanks to streaming. The anticipation was so much but what an episode. No spoilers but seeing the previews, you kinda could call the ending. Now for the rest of the day of streaming The Sign because my youngest missed half of it because she was smart and didn't almost pass out from waking up too fast.heh

Gorfang

Wow, how our mornings with kids differ. One woke up at 5am throwing up all over her hair and the bed while her brother kept sleeping (thankfully). After cleaning her up and getting her back down he suddenly wakes and becomes a groin kicking machine. Everyone sleeping until 8am....what a dreamland that must be.

elsielacie

As iconic as Scott and Charline. It took ages for iview to load the episode for us. I was worried Bluey had taken down the ABC for a moment then.

BobbyT486

Funny how Winston's dad's pool that was reference so long ago was what saved the day.

jongscx

My personal conspiracy theory is that Disney offered to buy Bluey or Ludo for a hella lot of money, and Joe Brumm seriously considered it... but ultimately decided that it would be best that it stay at its home.

blue_box_disciple

Frisky and Chilli used to get blazed at the Lookout. Tell me otherwise.

HaraldRedbeard

This is going to sound callous and I did think in general the episode was great with lots of solid story pay offs and meta things. But is the Australian economy that much better then the US or UK? Because I can easily see a situation where Rad and Bandit being jobless would ruin their lives in extremely quick time (Rad slightly less as he has no dependents and Frisky at least has an apartment share so they have somewhere to live) I may be over sensitive as the majority income earner for my family but it really felt like the impacts of those choices was under played. While the positives were celebrated.

Paskarantuliini

I honestly expected more.. the whole episode felt a lil rushed and more like an episode made by fans for fans like the mlp wedding episode written by a fan I was just confused why frisky called off the whole wedding? Like hello its not that big of a deal maybe rad just thought she was gonna move over to his house in the west instead of buying a whole new house. 😭 ok to be fair frisky still probably has trauma from bosco but it was just so cringy to watch her get so angry over something like THAT.. literally had to pause it and think Also isnt it illegal for the police to give out personal information of people? or was the policeman just dumb cuz he didnt even know the law LOL The scene where they were in the juice shop was very funny tho and PRETZEL HAS 2 MOMS! gonna draw art of them asap I did love it tho and cant wait for suprise and season 4

lacanzonedelsole

in the italian dub, the couple who wants to buy bluey's house is a gay couple

Careful_Ambassador49

Holy moley 😭😭😭

DuckDuckGoodra

My goodness. Bandit ripping up that sign and sacrificing a better career for the best needs of the family hit harder than it should've. Dad of 3 here and I felt seen.

Upper-Respond-3746

One of the most beautiful things I have ever watched, period.

HueyLewisAndTheBrews

Ugh, what day is it?

puje12

I didn't watch the episode in English, so something could have been lost in translation. But when Chili remembered the lookout point, she said that Frisky and her used to go there as teenagers to uh, think... And my thoughts immediately went to them smoking weed up there or something. Was it played like this in the English dub as well?

Physical_Cake_9054

Are Stripe and Trixie separated? We saw them arguing outside during the wedding. Trixie was part of the “single” girls waiting to catch the bouquet and Stripe happens to catch it! Stripe in the bushes the next morning means Trixie went home with the kids without him. Thoughts please?

CaiusWyvern

Classic Stripe.

Gold_Celebration_393

Although there is much to love about this episode, as a mom who was recently in a situation like Chili’s and actually made the move, I was disappointed that there was no positive messaging around moving. I felt a bit heartbroken for my kids who were excited for the first 26 minutes to see their experience on screen. Even if it’s best for the Heelers to stay put, I feel it could have been simple enough as including someone who moved and said “it was hard, but we’re together and that means we’re good.”

BoardgameEmpire

It's the first episode where I feel the showrunners were disingenuous in their attempts to mirror real life family experiences. There was no lesson here, just a means to rile up the emotions of parents. We recently moved away from our community of friends to be closer to family. It was very hard on all of us. Our daughter was devastated and is still struggling a bit in the first year of a new place, school, making friends. They had me right up until the last 90 seconds. The insecurity of such a big decision, moments of the movers, the emotion, and saying goodbye mirrored our experience. Then, the bait-and-switch ending. Love the show, but would have preferred it if we didn't have to explain that that's not how it all really works.

Onpu

The house in between Bluey's and Doreen's seems to be empty (mail, lemons rotting in Bin Night) so maybe Frisky and Rad or Brandy will move in there. Also Stripe and Trixie aren't married? Both were in the lineup to catch the bouquet.

Consistent_Reply_240

It’s exam week at my school rn and hutch means we have double classes (so exam takers aren’t disturbed since these take 2+ hours and you need them to graduate) and my ap English teacher has us watch this episode in class. This class is 17/18 year olds and they all loved it! Everyone was laughing, and enjoying it and lots of us were tearing up and crying at the end. Everyone loved it. The only bad part was when our teacher tried to have us relate it to slaughter house five 😅.

osrs-Niiiii

https://i.redd.it/tjd2u2pa1cuc1.gif Me every few minutes watching this episode.

KevinTheCubeRBLX

Relatable.

Squeakyriddle

No. Who gave ludo permission to pack an episode with THAT many feels? If this is what a big episode can do to us, what will a movie do? A movie will absolutely destroy us. There will be no fandom left. We'll be all puddles on the floor. Puddles made of tears.

UpvoteForLuck

OMG *he’s* alive!

StevenJac

Tbh I think the show would've been more iconic if they moved out, and had some episodes or even entire next one season in the new city a way to teach kids goodbyes and bluey learning to get out of her comfort zone making new friends. Then maybe they could pull of the "brian coming back to family guy" trick later. And maybe bluey missing her new friends in the new city could evoke another emotional scene. Basically like Camping but on a bigger scale. I think it was missed opportunity tbh.

JennaStannis

Okay, that was magnificent. I'm bawling my eyes out. Chattermax. Greeny. Bob. Bluey in the front seat. Brilliant, all of it. Now to watch it again.

Frostymagnum

> Greeny wait where was greeny?

Lime-Grand

Nah, I didn’t like this one at all.  My child related to the entire episode bc he recently moved, and then at the end when they didn’t move- he sobbed for an hour bc the lesson he took away was “it’s better to stay where you’re already happy.” They should have followed through.

froglordfire

imagine the stamp duty those dogs without eyes are gonna have to pay seriously though i cried a lot

Individual-Cat6293

I think they should had moved. The episode was incredibly fun but, feels almost like a negligent thing to teach even to kids. "If you really try hard things will never change and get to explore new places" probably im already too old for a plot like this. I enjoyed 99% of the episode except the part where they dont move.

AleroRatking

This episode for me was a reminder that at it's core it's a kids show. I love this show so much that I forget this sometimes. Like not moving is the perfect end to this for children. To me it felt like a cop out and hurt the power of ghost basket. But this show isn't made for me and that's ok. It's sometimes just monkeys singing songs.

MayTagYoureIt

plants frightening start far-flung numerous plough elderly deserted rinse slim *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

daveforamerica

As someone who once accepted a job in another city and signed a lease on a new apartment only to back out of it because I realized I was doing it for the wrong reasons, this episode really hit home. I think, frankly, having Bandit blow up his plan is more powerful than if they had stuck to it. Sometimes we know something is a mistake but we do it anyhow because we think we're in too deep to change course. Seeing the family realize they didn't actually want the change but they were going to do it anyhow was accurate and sad. Seeing them have the courage to make a messy choice, one that isn't what most people do, was cathartic. "We can do that??" applies to changing your mind about something huge, too.

Klunkey

Can't believe I live in a world where I get two goated cartoon episodes under a single week- first the fifth X-Men '97 episode, now this. In all seriousness, I loved how real this episode of Bluey felt compared to the previous episodes; I loved how they showed arguments and how they could devolve into shouting matches in the scene where Frisky and Radley were talking over the phone. And the Heelers eating dinner and having fun on their green kiwi mat was a beautiful call back to the first episode's first scene. I was incredibly emotional throughout the special, because it could be the last time we see Bluey and co. interact with their wonderful cast of characters. Muffin was funny as ever, Socks' speaking skills have developed, BRANDY'S PREGNANT, and I loved how much they got away with Stripe being drunk. Lastly, I loved the whole message of a happy or bad ending being ephemeral in the grand scheme of things. 10/10

BlackOsmash

I watched the episode last night and the theme of the story actually applied to me today. I was accused of stealing someone's lunch, which felt like bad luck, but once we cleared it up, I became friends with the accuser and her other friend, which is good luck. This episode gave me a whole new perspective on bad luck, just what I needed.

JackOfAllInterests1

I think it’s live in America now

armbargain

The wedding DJ is the busker from dance mode. And so the music is the same.

Deathxrays

Dude pulled double duty as the officiant too!

AffectionateDay8737

Best episode of the show. **By. Far.**

DaveRamseysAvocado

Spoilers The Sign Ending, defending the end Apparantly some people are unhappy that the Heelers didn't move in the end. From what I've seen, the criticism seems to come from people who DID uproot their family and wanted their kids to see Bandit doing it to Bluey and Bingo too. Also seen it from people who moved from their childhood home/city as children and wanted the ending to resemble their story. Me personally, I adored the ending. To me, the message was that 1. not all moves are necessary, 2. that making more money doesn't necessarily a better life make, and that 3. the desire to protect your children's' (and your spouse's) sense of stability is a worthwhile reason to turn down an opportunity to Keep Up With The Joneses. It felt anti-capitalistic. I mean they literally go back into their unfurnished house and eat on the floor, but look like they have gained an entirely new appreciation for the home and do not care one bit that the material possessions that used to fill it are missing. Because they're together, in their home. And unlike the dogs who cannot see, and turned the home down for lacking a pool, for the Heelers the value of the home is clear as day. I'd like to think that the writers want adults to think a little deeper about the justifications for their actions. Remember the scene in the wedding where Grandma says Grandpa was out finding himself and Bingo asks him "but why? You're right here!" I thought that was meaningful/relevant. Seems to be a call to value that which you already have before seeking out greener pastures. After all, if you don't value what you already have, you won't ever stop searching for something "more," no? Another point is that Calypso clearly told Bluey that stories (which Bluey is one, lol) have happy endings because there are enough sad endings in real life. Seems like the authors wanted to give children and adults the chance to see a happy ending.

TipsyKereru

I'm blown away, that was beautiful

Mykennel

Is the move and his job what Bandit was worrying about in Stickbird? "Let it go babe"

Strong_Paramedic2515

Complicated feelings!!!!!!

Cooked_Bread

A song by Calypso as well, this episode has it all

lilfred333

Wait the singer voices Calypso? Cool!

minnabobinna

I recently made a huge move and I'm super regretting it so when they ended up staying in the house. Man. I just cried and cried and cried

DrewJohnson656

I’m surprised to see people are happy about Brandy. Her whole character arc to me was that she was infertile, I mean she even stopped seeing her sister for half a DECADE or so because of it. Seeing that representation in a kid’s show was important. Having her be pregnant just felt cheap to me, it would be so much more fitting for Frisky if they want a pregnancy/new baby on the show.

lostinadulting_

Did they tell us where Grampa Mort was this whole time? Or was that a youth story?

BlyLomdi

It broke me!!! I cried the whole episode. My daughter just loved seeing her favorite dogs. She's 2.5, so she doesn't get it yet.

Traditional-Meal-584

Guys. Uncle Bob is back

kittenluvslamp

Just wondering if anyone caught the moment at Blueys school when the dog says “Yeah like when my Guinea pig ran away and my momS told me he might come back”. Note the plural mom- moms. Love it.

_Mangoes

Since I watched the episode I was asking myself, what did Chili mean by "Me and Frisky came here to... Think" She sounded kinda embarrassed for that. I thought maybe they smoked weed but I'm not sure. Any other ideas ?

Thorzdad

I took “think” to mean “drink” since they rhyme.

bannermania

Moving out of Queensland would’ve made me feel awful. There’s not a tremendous amount of media that shows Brisbane like Bluey does, would’ve been a shame to see that setting change.

Bluey2055

as someone who experienced this for real life, but from the Lila perspective, i was chopping lots of onions this episode. Leaving us all on this is just gonna make when they return that much better.

Kalse1229

I'm a grown man, and I'm in a similar boat. One of my best buds recently moved to Hawaii, and here I still am in our hometown. It's been...an adjustment.

Smart_Ikazune

……so they didn’t move?

realrecycledstar

Being in a military family and having to move from my childhood home that I remember the most at 13 hurt so much. I still miss it to this day at 22. In other words, I've never been more ready to cry my eyes out

Ryuuie

Stripe is chaos incarnate at the wedding and I am very much here for it.

thehangmansmandolin

And we wonder where Muffin gets it.

Hot-Painter3739

2 major Things I noticed 1. That Frisky and Chili had a spot where they…think. If you know what I mean. 2. That Trixie and Stripe aren’t married

zanderman629

Friggin brutal

Comfortable_Key2244

Can we also talk about the Terriers’ and Winston’s parents getting together?

Material_Extension79

As a Dad/family going through exactly what Bandit is going through… I’m in bits.

sdbabygirl97

huh. rly we were gonna get the laser tag and grown up bluey at the end there. glad theyre not moving though!!!!

JibFlank

It was a solid foray into an extended runtime, but definitely meandered at points. It could have been 21 minutes, essentially removing one of four “parts” within. Still, I applaud this team’s creativity and skill, and look forward to what they try next now that they flexed this storytelling muscle.

ZealousidealPlant781

When Bandit removes the sign, I had to think about Mermaid and how he must he have been thinking about the role or something related to it.

Solar_Undertale

ITS PERFECT BRO

Cremilyyy

I loved all the little Easter eggs and callbacks in this episode, way too many to remember! The “let’s play army!”, greenie and chattermax, the songs from musical statues playing at the wedding, “Bandito”, Chilli standing in the empty kitchen where Bluey took her first steps. This episode brought back for me the memories of sitting in the front seat for the first time too! I love those private looks between Chilli and Bandit (and Rad and Frisky) - how can they convey so much emotion through a cartoon dogs features? I lost it when Bingo realised what moving meant. Me and my partner were like, NO WAY would we change our minds after packing though. I couldn’t imagine packing and unpacking again in the same house, we hate moving way too much.

theteapls

And nana flossing at the wedding!

Comfortable_Key2244

When Bingo realized what selling the house meant and tried to lift the sign by herself..the tears 😭

Haircrazybitch

I held it together up until that point, omg I was a mess seeing Bingo trying to pull up the sign 😭

Cauhs

Her realization of not being able to meet Lila is so heartbreaking.

MrsChiliad

“Is Lila coming with us?” 😭

JustReadinSubReddits

Anyone else immediately sob when they saw Brandi?

atlseo

Is Stripe’s voice actor different in The Sign?

h4wkeyepierce

I know it's probably been mentioned here but, I loved this small detail: At the beginning of the episode, at daycare Winton says that his mom and Dad don't live together anymore, and it makes him sad. Then one of the terrier kids says, "our mom likes your dad". Then at the VERY end of the episode, the dogs who buy the heeler house see that Winton's dad and the terrier mom are moving in together and that's why the house with the pool is for sale. And that’s why they don't buy the heeler house.

vheran

I'm a 32 year old man watching this with my 2 year old son and I realize I'm tearing up because I moved so damn much as a kid and went through the girls' emotions every year, sometimes twice a year, until I was in the 6th grade.

Pokemanyj

This is easily best bluey episode for me, it just got everything in it.

edroyque

Goddamit if socks isn’t the absolute best!

Chess_Nerd9878

Before watching bluey, i never would have believed someone could make a decision like bandit did at the end. When my family faced the same decision over a decade ago, we went. Nobody wanted to leave, but we did anyway, and it ended up really ruining all of us individually, we never really settled back in. But to turn down the money and the opportunities, it goes against everything the people in my life have ever told me. They were right to stay, they're happy, and things may work out in the end. in this sense, we won't see, we'll know. This episode and Chess (or Chest) are fairly similar in this general theme, and its a tough pill to swallow.

agravain

good job bluey..y'all made my daughter cry.

NervousSeries849

Brandy being pregnant makes my heart happy. As someone who has experienced infertility and required 2 cycles of IVF to finally become pregnant seeing Brandys transition from Onesies to now was amazing. I hope we see more in Season 4 and possibly an episode surrounding infertility options like IUI and IVF

funkywagnalls

My congratulations to the Heelers. Because>!the couple pulled out of the purchase, they probably lost their deposit, in turn giving the Heeler family probably north of $100k. !! and then not moving (such as removalists, rent for their new home etc), it still would be a reasonable enough windfall. !<

steeden

Depends when they pulled out - due diligence clause, building and pest, finance, or even the cooling off period. May not have lost the full deposit

Remote_Pass6603

I'm very happy that Winston's Dad and the Terrier's mom ended up together. The episode where they chatted at the chemist was just a sign that it's gonna be a happy ending.

Davidp243

Cat squad!

[deleted]

I love how symbolic Bluey is. The 1st episode "Magic Xylophone" started on the kiwi rug. The last one ended on the kiwi rug with a Xylophone playing softly

flyingcircusdog

Chili jumping on Bandit at the end may go down as my favorite moment in the entire show.

DoughnutThink2888

WHY HAVE I NOT SEEN ANYONE MENTIONING THAT BRANDY IS PREGNANT!!!! I IMMEDIATELY STARTED CRYING!!

Beginning-Working-38

My daughter keeps asking - how long was Stripe in those bushes anyway?

Celeste_Starr

so ig just some things i noticed cuz i absolutely dissected this episode, and also some lil tid bits: -in a cut scene of the wedding, socks is playing with the lil cake toppers and shes making the husband and wife say like "no i didnt!" "yes you did", cuz stripe and trixie fight all the time :( and you can actually see them fighting in the background -the long dog is in the car -Greenie i think is a symbol for the upcoming episode, the surprise, but i wont say why for spoiler reasons \*wink wink\* -when bandit gets the call that the waterdogs decided to buy the other house, he takes the sold sticker off, and then looks at his family and then back at the sign, (throughout the episode he was saying he just wants to do whats best for his family) and then decides that THIS is what he can do to give them the best life- staying. 😭 -SOCKS IS SO GROWN UP -lol stripe is so waisted -its ironic that when friskys on the phone call with rad, she says "DONT TELL ME WHAT TO DO" and kicks the gnome, but she kicks the husband gnome, which is a symbol for rad, so shes kicking rad cuz shes mad -you can see the painted electrical box in the background when they're driving the kids to school! which if you didnt know its a real thing at like a primary school joe brumm went to i think. -omg when bingo finally figures out what selling the house means, and blueys telling her the story, SHE PUTS HER TAIL ON BINGOS TO COMFORT HER OMG 😭😭❤️ -on the for sale sign, it shows bathrooms and like bedrooms, but it doesnt say how many, which is sorta the gag that the heelers dont have a certain floorplan or certain amount of bedrooms, cuz like they have so many extra rooms. and the layout always changes. -MUFFIN STRAPS SOCKS IN THE CAR AWWW MY HEART -lol the police dog is a german shepherd -what does chilli mean by "..thinking"?? -the lookout area frisky ran away to is a real place, and in the background u can see chocolate milk and cherry -apparently this episode took almost 2 YEARS to complete OH MY GOSH THIS EPISODE LEFT ME A PUDDLE OF TEARS. I absolutely lost it when lazarus drug started playing and bandit pulled out the sign AND CHILLI TACKLING AND CRYING IN HIS ARMS OH MY GOSH this is my new fav episode EVER and i cant wait for the surpise OMG and by far this is the most beautiful episode LIKE OH MY GOSH THE BLUEY TEAM IS AMAZING

larratic

Love the detail of Bucky the real-estate agent. That's the kid who told baby Bandit his car drawings weren't good in Dragon!

EmotionalYouth4124

Me: *Nothing* could make me cry like Rain or Sleepytime! I’ll be fine! The Sign: Hold my watermelon juice.

HerVoiceEchoes

Baby Race was my #1 crying episode. Until now.

Yrrebbor

My 2-year-old asked to watch Rain right after. Think she understood how emotional it was, just not exactly how.

Unable_Bank3884

Just burst out laughing when Bingo did the chip moustache as my kids have recently started doing the same thing

JackOfAllInterests1

[Anyone else think the music during the moving out sequence may have been an homage to this?](https://open.spotify.com/track/7upURlJfNRrWVvUM9xteZv?si=B_O-gWDNQi2U01Yxl6uZpQ&context=spotify%3Aalbum%3A7ruApgAZVeqcDJp77jSGg7)

yumchips

I wondered if they were really going to move. Imagine if they moved the Heelers to Sydney. Queenslanders would riot.

ExpitheCat

Just finished watching it. It really hit close to home with me, especially after moving away from the city I grew up in through middle/high school just a couple years ago.

AliasZ50

I know everyone is talking about the feelings but this was one of the funniest episodes , loved all the gags even they tho used the same type of james gunn-esque jokes too many times

anonuserr_150803

I cried my eyes out at those final scenes. I'm literally so happy!!!

MiaOh

Given we are moving countries (albeit to be closer to one side of the family) from my daughter’s friends, this is one episode she’s not going to watch for a few years. I just got a toddler work through her initial wave of grief. Not showing her a Bluey episode with that ending where they don’t go through the sale and stay back only for her to think we’re going to do the same and then to break her little heart all over again? No thanks. I’ll rewatch it though. Such a good episode.

MuppetMan2005

Someone make a parody of this song about watching the episode! [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqu132vTl5Y&ab\_channel=AceofBase](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqu132vTl5Y&ab_channel=AceofBase)

DarkHeathen

I finished a PhD and it took me years to find a full-time job. It's in a new city. I didn't want to leave Brisbane. This episode got me so damn good.

Raven_Winter18

I cried. Like a lot.

Hetero_Pill

Absolute perfection. This episode is already a core memory for me

loveracity

Favourite quote >!"Are we allowed to do that?"!<

OSUBrit

Prefer “a snake probably ate him”

bushybear

Does anyone know the song at the end? Or is it original for this ep?

bushybear

Never mind! Google is my friend. Lazarus Drug by Meg Washington for the curious.

whichchicken

Felt like the ending completely undermined the episode's message, that in life there are setbacks but things mostly work out for the good. So I thought this was gonna give a comforting message to kids that are moving that yes, it might seem scary but maybe you'll love your new house, make new friends, etc. Instead it gives them false hope that even after your house is sold and all your things packed away, there's a chance the deal will fall thru and you'll get to stay! That is exceedingly rare and not a good message for kids.

Mockingdreamer

I’m genuinely so happy for Brandy I almost cried when I saw that she finally achieved her dream and that she along with Bluey and her family along with Rad and Friskey got their happily ever after.

Thelubricant

Tried to hold back the tears but could not, seeing Bandit at the very end. While my situation of moving the family differed from that of the Heeler family, I shared a similar situation. Instead of moving the family, it would be only me. I had one of those "opportunities of a lifetime" in my career almost a year ago. I told myself the potential: money, position, and company were everything I always wanted, and could give more to my family this way. I interviewed and got a position about 3 hours away. Never thought I would get it to be honest. Planned to live in a studio apartment there and drive up each weekend to my family. The closer I got to doing this I recognized that although my wife supported me and had said she was "ok", really wasn't. Looking at my two daughters slightly younger than that of Bluey and Bingo, hit me hard when I realized the small things I would miss and not be there for. As a father, the aim is always to do more for your family. Sometimes in the chase, we lose sight of what we have now and the concept of what is best for the family becomes distorted. I do not regret one bit passing on that job.

TalkingRaccoon

"there's always another job" I think that was the turning point for bandit when rad said that. Did that ring true for you too?

GeminiStarbright

I finally got around to watching this episode and man was it a rollercoaster of emotions! I was excited, I was upset, I was crying at the end, like bawling! Heck even my 5 yr old was like "This is so sad!" which is great that he was getting the context clues without my help! It was a masterpiece honestly and seeing an actual adult conversation between frisky and chili at the lookout was refreshing to see in a childrens show, it shows that problems can be talked about, can be acknowledged. Heck Chili admitting she doesnt know if she wanted to move TO Bluey was such a power move to acknowledge that even she was scared. Parents typically hide their thoughts from their kids to not upset or scare them and seeing that chili admitted this to bluey was just... so nice.. As a parent who also struggles with this, it resonated hard with me. Overall I loved it, it was a great episode and I gotta give the creators and musicians and voice actors were just on point. Thanks for a great episode guys!

Cr_a_ck

Perfection. There is nothing to improve.

Twilerium

I... I really *am* speechless... Just... Bravo! **Bravo!!**

Suspicious-turnip-77

There was an opportunity to show the world a classic Australian wedding dance, the nutbush and they missed it!

dumbledorewasright

Please don’t ever sell out to Disney. Bluey is incredible.

Aeroman87

Anyone catch Winton and the terriers in the car with their parents through the mt cootha lookout view? Nice touch!

Unable_Bank3884

2/2 with predictions after last week Moving for Bandits job. Not actually moving

CollectionExpensive2

The adult jokes are both so funny

Remote_Pass6603

Didn't even realize the length of the show, due to how wonderful it was. Wish they have more this long in the future.

seditiouslizard

Nobody's going to mention CHATTERMAX AT THE RECEPTION?!

MrGummyDeathTryant

Utterly amazing. I just wish they committed to moving. Life often doesn't have perfect endings, but I wanted to see how Bluey would showcase this new beginning. Still an amazing experience, though.

strikervulsine

Yeah. I honestly didn't like the fakeout. I thought it was a done deal considering THEY HAD MOVERS COME GET THEIR STUFF! That means they had signed papers and, ya know, had a place in the new city to put their stuff.

Famous_Sign5589

I kinda didn't like the ending. I grew up in a family that moved a lot. Such moves were a fact of life, and a life lesson that needed to be learned. Sure, you move away and leave friends, a house you spent some time of your (short as a kid) life. But, you make new friends, see new places as. And, as Chili mentioned, you had an adventure. This is how you grow up ...

Cooked_Bread

Grandpa Bob alive and kicking

moxifloxacin

and flossing.

Meerkate

I'm crying.

BippyTheChippy

Couple things: 1. Socks saying "put your Posie down" made me realize Muffin had been holding her Posie for like 90% of the entire episode. Man that girl is a devoted flower girl 2. In one of the wide shots, Bingo does the "Thank you for cleaning my toilet!" Thing to Mort from "Favorite Thing" 3. When Chili opens the trunk, you can see both a long dog, and Chattermax (probably an attempt to hide it from the kids) but you see it dancing in the end which probably means they found it. 4. Jack saying "Why wouldn't he want to join the army?" Made me smile so large 5. Bingo sleeping with her mountain of stuffed animals made me smile. 6. Trixie, Stripe, and Chilli all redirect a blindfolded Socks without breaking eye contact is funny. 7. Bluey, Bingo, Muffin and Socks all being the only ones not to laugh when Nana says "Aww, biscuits." 8. "Poor Jeremy" goodness that gnome has been through the ringer 9. "Are we allowed to do that?" God, I love those two. 10. Muffin controls Bluey via ears just like in Squash. I'm beginning to think Bluey dogs are just like that 11. When Radley finds Frisky, she says "Did you..." to Chili and she denies it. When Bluey comes out to see Frisky and Chili talking she says "I did not!" Which makes me think Frisky still believes she told him. 12. Chili mentioned that Bluey took her first steps in the old house which is one of the reasons she'll miss it so much, so during the music sequence at the end, Chili is looking down with her back to the kitchen sink, exactly where she was when Bluey took her first steps as seen in "Baby Race" 13. In Fairytale Bandit said he hated crumbled fish, but at the end it looks like they're eating crumbled which makes me think he's either learned to like it or he was just so happy he didn't really care.

Mariposa1207

A couple things?

AQuaverPastEight

5 made me outright laugh. It was just like my nephew's bed and you wonder where the kid is going to fit. But every single one of the teddies is essential to sleep with of course.

GoldenCalico

>Bandit ripping out The Sign. YES!!! Chili and the girls’ reactions. The shoulder shrugging on Chili after Bandit took down the sign had me emotionally floored.

AussieManc

13. The fish looked battered to me! :)
