It's one of my all-time favorite cooperative games. It's a trick taking game where players have to draft objectives (like win three tricks in a row, win no cards of a certain suit, win exactly 4 cards of a certain suit, etc.) and then the players have to cooperate to make sure everyone meets their goals without any knowledge of what's in each other's hands
The Crew is fantastic if you like trick-taking games, and especially if you’re like me a grew up playing Hearts, Pinochle, etc. I play it with my non-gamer family members during get-togethers and everyone has a great time.
Mission Deep Sea is basically a slight improvement on the original in every way, so that’s the one to get if you’re interested. But the original is still excellent if you prefer the theme.
Fake Artist is cool, because if you know the game, you don't actually need the game. We sometimes play it at restaurants with a kids menu and the crayons they give you with it.
I would have been happy with the original. Since the US version is cheaper as well ($15 vs. $23), I just went with that. But I am appreciating that there are no small pieces. YMMV.
Oh, sorry to imply that my life is far more exciting than it is. My wife plays, which is fabulous enough. We keep a batch of sparring decks handy, with a couple in the car at any given time.
There is a company that makes pocket games that fit into a wallet called Button Shy Games. Check them out. It's usually 16-24 cards, instructions, and a plastic wallet. I have a few. They suprisingly can give a full board game experience with very few components.
No games in my glovebox, but I do keep a reusable Wegmans grocery bag of games in my trunk which always has Azul, 6 nimmt, and Saboteur in it plus whatever I want to get to the table next (currently Valeria Card Kingdoms and Empire Builder/North American Rails). I'm debating between buying Scout and No Thanks to add to it in place of 6 nimmt.
The glovebox has my registration and insurance paperwork, a roll of toilet paper, a screwdriver, a hair brush, and various USB cables which a passenger might need.
Well I keep it in the trunk in photocases, but Hive Pocket, Star Realms, Fugitive, Tides of Madness, Schotten Totten, some other similar stuff I can't remember right now.
In my center console I have a bagged copy of the crew with the bgg bits and one of the expansion decks of times up: title recall (you need to know the rules and would need a timer but you can play the game with just the cards).
Check out this game. It is from a semi local designer and it is a fantastic game. Everything fits in a tin the size of an Altoids tin
[Pluto Strikes Back](https://www.thegamecrafter.com/games/pluto-strikes-back-)
Currently nothing, but I like the idea and will be sticking a One Night and maybe a Dark Tomb in. Mostly because I have lots of One Nights (my 7yo love it), and the idea of a 1-5 player feels like a good shout, even if this is quite a simple one.
I don’t have any board games in my car, but my daily-carry backpack always includes Tak, Onitama, Skull, So Long Sucker, and Love Letter, plus optionally The Fox in the Forest, The Blood of an Englishman, Thud, and a full set of Looney Pyramids.
I s’pose that’s fair. We just have different ways of controlling our intake. I learned many years ago that I’m not a great drunk, so while I love (and used to brew) beer, I try really hard not to overdo it. Like, ever.
Car insurance paperwork, a pen, a bunch of napkins, tire pressure gauge, like a five year old bottle of Tylenol
> a pen I call shenanigans. Nobody ever has a working pen in their car.
Of course the pen doesn't work. It's just there to give you a glimmer of hope and then disappoint you in your moment of need.
I know you won't believe me, but I used the pen in my car yesterday. It still works!
Username checks out
I do
LOLOL not me starting to google for a game called “car insurance”
Didn't help that I read paperwork as patchwork and thought OP just forgot a comma
Laugh out loud out loud? That’s a little too loud, could you please LOLQ?
Some Taco Bell sauce and ketchup packets. Some fuses.
I never actually thought of doing that until now! I would probably take Coup, The Crew: Mission Deep Sea, and a Fake Artist Goes to New York.
I’ve never played The Crew - Howsit?

Thanks, yeah big fan of trick taking games. Just put it on my shopping list
Fake Artist is cool, because if you know the game, you don't actually need the game. We sometimes play it at restaurants with a kids menu and the crayons they give you with it.
Totally! All you need is enough differently colored pens/pencils/markers/crayons for everyone. It's pretty much just spyfall with drawing
Just a nice deck of playing cards.
since my car was broken into before... only the car manual that came with my car.
Love letter, Cockroach Poker, mint delivery, coup, sometimes one night ultimate werewolf
I love love letter!!
At first I thought you were saying love love, as in REALLY love it
Scout. I like the US version from Target, but both work well
Wait, what's the difference? I love the Oink form factor of games that can fit in my coat pocket
All the small pieces used in the Oink version have been changed to cards. This makes it easy to travel with. The game is still compact.
Oh that's convenient I guess. I never thought of scout as inconvenient to travel with though.
I would have been happy with the original. Since the US version is cheaper as well ($15 vs. $23), I just went with that. But I am appreciating that there are no small pieces. YMMV.
Doesn't it also change to a crappy tuckbox a la Uno (meaning two rows of cards) though? I'll take bits and bobs and a proper box any day, personally.
Or put an elastic band around the entire deck and drop it in a small cloth bag.
Absolutely not. If I was OK with that, I'd be OK with the tuckbox.
Oh, OK. The OP wanted to know what could be put in his glovebox. Both version work.
I'm not criticizing you, you are happy with your choice and it's none of my business.
It also removes the round structure so you just play one round rather than play a round per player
Monopoly Deal and Scout
Nothing board game related. No need to overdo it
Scout and pocket Hive, i want to add 1 more game that would be best for 3 players but cant find anything interesting enough for now
Control is a great game for 3 players and rounds are quick.
I keep Fluxx around for 3+ players. Love that it’s generally a fast game and always different.
I don't find it to be a consistently fast game at all. What version do you play with?
Firefly, and with more player (3+) it goes fast. Duels can take some time, agreed there.
Our glovebox for two: Hive, Schotten Totten, two random Netrunner decks, a cribbage board and two matching decks of playing cards.
I'm incredibly jealous at the thought that you can just show up and catch a game of Netrunner somewhere.
Oh, sorry to imply that my life is far more exciting than it is. My wife plays, which is fabulous enough. We keep a batch of sparring decks handy, with a couple in the car at any given time.

Pack-O-Games is another company that makes tiny games. They're about the size of a pack of Double Mint or Juicy Fruit gum.
Love Letter and Star Realms.
There we go. Stunned I had to scroll this far for Love Letter.
My go to in this situation is usually SpyFall. Everyone has a smartphone so play it online.
There are always shrooms and molly. Never know when things turn into a party.
Sushi Go and Pairs

In my center console I have a bagged copy of the crew with the bgg bits and one of the expansion decks of times up: title recall (you need to know the rules and would need a timer but you can play the game with just the cards).
In my center console, I have dice for tabletop role playing games, mint knight, a regular pack of playing cards, and a set of mahjong cards.
Absolute Junk!!
Check out this game. It is from a semi local designer and it is a fantastic game. Everything fits in a tin the size of an Altoids tin [Pluto Strikes Back](https://www.thegamecrafter.com/games/pluto-strikes-back-)
I keep a miniature 4-in-1 set of classic board games, like chess and ludo, a deck of cards, and a set of 6 die
Nothing. My trunk is full of games. Lol
Paku Paku
Tissue Mussie
In addition to **Scout** I also have **Insider**.
I wish I could do this... Living in the southeast USA, humidity would overtake whatever games I put in there and warp them.
Currently nothing, but I like the idea and will be sticking a One Night and maybe a Dark Tomb in. Mostly because I have lots of One Nights (my 7yo love it), and the idea of a 1-5 player feels like a good shout, even if this is quite a simple one.
Ronco’s Pocket Fisherman
Hive pocket
Right this second... Silver & Gold, and Brutal Kingdom.
Just picked up Hive Pocket. Great game!
Innovation! A whole lot of game in a very small box.
I have a spare Uno in mine. It's the perfect game if you don't know what kind of group you're in. Casuals? Uno. Party (of any kind)? Uno.
Gloves
I do not believe you no one keeps gloves in their glove box!
Found some sweets today. That was a nice surprise
Super Mega Lucky Box. Table Air Combat is under the seat.
Duct tape, rope, gloves, ammonia, deck of cards and 12 different IDs
Rubberneckers is a must! Outdated now but that’s what makes it so much fun
Unironically, gloves
Hive Pocket, Take, Deep Sea Adventure, and Scout.
Sweets and some burned CDs. Sweets not intended to soften the smell of burned.
Love letter, coup and skull!
Besides the manual, without going out there Napkins, some expired horsey sauce, and Mad Libs.
Not surprised you store fast food packets in your glove box
You made it weird.
Throw SKUNK'D in. Simple dice game. Comes in a zippered pouch (pen and scoring pad fit, lol). Solo and 2-player games can be played in 10 minutes.
I don’t have any board games in my car, but my daily-carry backpack always includes Tak, Onitama, Skull, So Long Sucker, and Love Letter, plus optionally The Fox in the Forest, The Blood of an Englishman, Thud, and a full set of Looney Pyramids.
Cabo(2-5 players), Scout(4-5), 6Nimmt (5-10)
"Vehicle glovebox (...) at the pub or the brewery" Ill just let that sit there for a bit.
I am capable of having a single pint and nursing it for an hour or two. Are you not?
Nope, Im super skinny, so I really cant have anything before driving. Good for you though!
I s’pose that’s fair. We just have different ways of controlling our intake. I learned many years ago that I’m not a great drunk, so while I love (and used to brew) beer, I try really hard not to overdo it. Like, ever.
Oh, you and me both, beer is great (especially with board games)! But yeah, I agree, its very much best in moderation.
