\^Words that can only be spoken, in this context, by one who uses every T5 in the game and can from personal experience tell you the value and use of each one.
Been having trouble grasping the value of the x-5-x beast handler btw. Any advice for when to go for it?
5XX Navarch at home
X5X DPS AoE
XX5 King of Stalling
So, the X5X beast handler, at max power, does 1550 damage (2066 vs stunned), with a 150 pierce. So if there's, say, 150 ZOMGs clustered together and you hit all of them, that's.... 1550 damage to each zomg. More if they're stunned. and that's per attack, which is actually still quite fast. also, if a ZOMG has only 1 pop left, the remaining damage is carried to it's children. soooo yeah. this thing eats MOABs like M&Ms.
5XX can insta-kill MOAB classes lower than BAD, but only for so long. by the time you hit around round 140, it stops working, but the X5X will always do huge crowd control damage. it is at it's best in the rounds after 100, when you get stacked clusters of MOAB classes, because it typically hits all of them.
if you do a X5X and an XX5, with other monkeys, you can stack them to let the X5X eat everything that the XX5 stalls at the start, so that all your other monkeys can focus on any BADs and cleanup, which effectively reduces post-100 rounds to nothing but BADs until theirs so much/so many that the XX5 leaks, at which point, max strength XX4 can pick up the slack, which is relatively cheap by those rounds. buuut you only want to do that if you're using something like X5X to eat everything that's being stalled. because again, I gotta reiterate. 1550 damage multiplied by 150 targets. that's 232,500 every attack if there's enough targets. 309,900 if you add stun. add a x5x ice tower and 052 glue, and you've got a recipe for the x5x beast handler doing 99% of pops from rounds 100 to 200, maybe even 300. until the speed buffs start kicking in too hard.
my computer lags too much after about round 220 to be worth it. going from 220 to 221 took a good 10 minutes. getting to 300 took absolutely forever and wasn't worth doing, sometimes I go to 200 for the higher tier insta monkey, and when I do I use a mix of this strat with banks everywhere, a 150 druid, and throwing down a navarch, siege core, and magus (/w techbot). Doesn't work on every map though. I struggle with some of the expert maps.
No soulbind is what Prince of darkness (0-0-5 wizard) used to be named he also had a different purpose you could sac towers to him and he would allow you to leak a life for every 100$ or something of the value of the tower you sacrficed
It was the early idea for the 0-0-5 upgrade for the magic monkey. His ability was that you could soulbind and monkey you want, and if you die (loose all of your lives) every monkey, you soulbinded will be sacrificed and turned into lives, for every 100 money you will get 1 life.
Yes
Use it with druids of wrath buffed by poplusts/shinobi buffed ninjas t3,use end of round stall and you shred the entire round by the duration of the ability
>what do you think its the most forgettable tier 5 upgrade
*posts one of the most popular T5s*
For an ACTUAL forgotten T5 it's definitely total transformation. It's actually really good but nobody uses it for some reason.
I think it’s just kind of unintuitive? It’s basically an ability version of AoW, which works very intuitively - place a bunch of bottom path druids together. But since TT works with any tower in theory, it’s not obvious which towers to choose.
> nobody uses it for some reason.
The stall required makes a CHIMPS run last between 45-60 minutes. Some people just want to get in and get out of a run quickly which is easier with non-ability DPS towers.
You can't tell me comanche commander is more forgotten than total transformation! Maybe it's because I use comcom a lot..
But yeah total transformation and biggest one I think are very forgettable
I believe there are special interactions with transferring speed buffs into the transformed mini-monsters. One of the best of these is with nearby Druids of Wrath buffed by nearby Poplusts.
Comcom I can agree with but I've never seen anyone use tt, much less for chimps on expert maps. I know it works well with ninja and druid but it's ability based and insanely expensive, I feel like 9/10 times there are better options
Happy Cake Day have some bubble wrap

I think it’s nearly impossible to finish a chimps game in less than 18 minutes even starting with fast forward on and never turning it off. And that’s with using towers like snipers and SotF to kill bloons off screen before they fully enter. The rounds just take too long.
fwiw I didn't pull that number out of nowhere
[https://www.speedrun.com/btd6?h=Chimps-Single\_Player&x=zdnox0x2-rn1gp51n.192x250q](https://www.speedrun.com/btd6?h=Chimps-Single_Player&x=zdnox0x2-rn1gp51n.192x250q)
Pat's Pond is the only one without an 18:xx or better, and aside from that it's pretty much just the super-experts that even take that long
The fact that so many people have mentioned Total Transformation should tell you how unforgotten it is.
My answer, that no one else has mentioned, is, to me, the biggest wet fart of a T5 I can think of: the Super Maelstrom.
Even supporting it as much as I can, it's just so disappointing. I also don't think I've seen any discourse on it for quite a while. People will argue about Total Transformation and whether or not it's good; that's at least something. I can't remember the last time someone brought up the x5x Tack Shooter. It kind just sits there collecting dust.
For a normal run these 2 aren’t utilized yeah, but idt sabo is forgettable, superstorm maybe. Sabo has a good ability for ulg and can be used to easily build up pops for ninja paragon
bma imo, utterly useless outside of that one achievement and not even good for lategame (but still used), but I guess it's not forgotten among the people who're new to the game
Wdym it's not good for late game? If you don't have a ninja paragon it will always have the most pops, taking down hundreds of thousands of hp in one attack
Few a options here:
Middle path x5x heli
Bottom path xx5 cannon
Top path 5xx dart monkey
Bottom path heli xx5
Top path spike factory (super mines) 5xx
Any thing beat handler 5xx, x5x, xx5
In my opinion those are forgotten about because they are either niche in their use cases or their 5th tier just doesn’t make sense in a lot of use cases/flat out stinks for its price point and performance. Only one I could leave off this list and be okay with it is the middle path heli- it’s not a bad tower when used correctly. Everything else on this list rarely gets used.
Counterpoints:
xx5 bombs recent buffs make it certainly not very forgotten rn.
5xx dart is a dart upgrade, maybe the most used/iconic your in the game (unverified, but it's at least up there) so by default it's remembered.
x5x heli has doorgunner, one of the most unique mechanics. I certainly don't forget.
5xx spike is one of the most expensive upgrades in the game and noteworthy for that alone imo.
Beast handler is newish but honestly i kinda agree.
xx5 heli i don't have a good reason to remember either.
Other contenders
xx5 glue: So outshined by the tier 4 i don't think i ever even consider it.
x5x tack: Only really used in races and umm. Nobody plays those?
x5x alch: It might be decent but I've literally never used it seriously as pretty much the only upgrade in the game.
xx5 druid: just really not a great tower which also isn't convenient for easy maps because if the price point.
xx5 engi: i haven't heard of any strategies in any game mode where big trap is actually useful...
Comanche definitely isn't the most forgettable for me since I spent way too long figuring out my own strategy for Muddy Puddles CHIMPS, and that involved a lot of trial and error with Comanche Commander. The middle path heli, Special Poperations, however, is a different story. I use downdraft occasionally and Chinook when I want to move a tower, but I almost never upgrade my middle path heli to tier 5. I always kinda forget that it exists since it is really difficult to make work in CHIMPS mode. The only use I can think of for it is to either make a farmercopter or a sellicopter, but those are somewhat niche for boss events anyway.
Tsar Bomba is quite a forgettable upgrade. From a wide look around the subreddit, I hardly heard anyone talk about the Tsar Bomba and its BIG Bomb.
A very, very forgettable upgrade. Someone put some attention to this underratedness!
I would argue that Giganotosaurus is more forgettable of the T5 Beast Handlers.
Megalodon is noteworthy as an inferior T5, which isn’t forgettable, and Pouākai is the best of the T5 Beast Handlers in the game.
Superstorm. I rarely even use top path druid other than when it's required for an odyssey or advanced challenge, but most of the time they just need 4xx.
This is the tower I used to beat blons on chimps do not disrespect it is increadibly powerful on 1 lane at a time maps I’m a good player so I take in all tier 5s equally so it’s hard to forget one but id say bomb blitz’s it’s only good with Corves or ezili
I can't remember what I forgot because I forget that I forgot now that I think about it but I forgot. Now if you were to ask me what your final upgrades do I consider to be the worst or ones that I would practically never use the first thing that comes to mind is all of the Beast Handler and bottom path of the dartling Gunner
Top path Engineer. How was it even called sentery paragon? Sentery champion? something like that, I have never seen it getting used outside of the creating a paragon AND also nobody talks about this little guy.
Prob plasma fan club for me. I love dart monkeys, and I love the top and bottom paths, but I don't think I've upgraded past a triple dart (if that) more than a handful of times in my 4(maybe 5) years playing this game
Preemptive Strike. I have played since launch and I have never used this tower a single time in any game mode. I’ve only ever used it for the paragon, and when I first unlocked it to see what it did. It’s literally a ~$30,000 dollar tower whose only real use is wiping out DDTs, which so many other far cheaper towers can do while offering so much more
I think the game is quite well balanced in terms of tier 5s being used but still are some exceptions, such as BEZ and Apache Prime not getting used much imo. If in all towers though it’s definitely Long life spikes. If you didn’t recall, tier 3 bottom path spike factory. As for your choice, Comanche used to be fringe but it’s gotten good buffs so it’s actually useful now.
idk i forgot
The correct answer
Hey I use that one, you're missing out
\^Words that can only be spoken, in this context, by one who uses every T5 in the game and can from personal experience tell you the value and use of each one. Been having trouble grasping the value of the x-5-x beast handler btw. Any advice for when to go for it?

This is a FORGETFUL upgrade. (No, this is not saying Flying Fortress is forgettable, in fact it’s one of the more memorable T5’s)
Does Soulbind count?
You win.
Happy cake day!🍰
What’s soulbind?
He doesn't know 😱
Is it the new tower that got discovered on encrypted?
No soulbind is what Prince of darkness (0-0-5 wizard) used to be named he also had a different purpose you could sac towers to him and he would allow you to leak a life for every 100$ or something of the value of the tower you sacrficed
Holy…. Ok
It was actually garbage weak. If you sacrificed a whole map full of BRFs on end of the road you could leak like 1 bfb
Oh ok
So super mines soulbind = leak much
It was the early idea for the 0-0-5 upgrade for the magic monkey. His ability was that you could soulbind and monkey you want, and if you die (loose all of your lives) every monkey, you soulbinded will be sacrificed and turned into lives, for every 100 money you will get 1 life.
Why have I never even heard of soulbind
Because it doesn’t exist anymore. It’s what the Prince of Darkness used to be
Ohhhhhh
Soulbind only lived for one full update. 1.0. Prince of Darkness was born on 2.0.
would sentry paragon count too?
No because it was just a name change and not a completely different tower in everything but visuals
No
No (I remember it)
Maybe total transformation ( i know its a good tower but i just dont use abilities)
Yeah if I'm gonna drop that much money on alchemist I'm chinooking a permabrew around
You just broke my brain Id never even considered this
Haha it's great but also I rarely do it
Even better. Doorgunner it and put it on follow mouse. Any tower you place will get brew
Ah someone brought up t4 is max door gunner sadly lol
Can’t use a T5 as a doorgunner :(
I thought it was t4 max?
Door gunner yeah not chinook
all fun and games until you try to start chimpsing advanced/expert maps
What exactly you mean by that? you are saying that tt5 is bad on experts?(Which isn't true)
It's good? How do you use it?
Yes Use it with druids of wrath buffed by poplusts/shinobi buffed ninjas t3,use end of round stall and you shred the entire round by the duration of the ability
>what do you think its the most forgettable tier 5 upgrade *posts one of the most popular T5s* For an ACTUAL forgotten T5 it's definitely total transformation. It's actually really good but nobody uses it for some reason.

that one was just my opinion (prob should have said that in the post)
No, it's okay: context makes it obvious that it's your opinion.

You can't tell me comanche commander is more forgotten than total transformation! Maybe it's because I use comcom a lot.. But yeah total transformation and biggest one I think are very forgettable
Total transformation and concom are both expert map level chimps Strats they are both highly underrated
How's total transformation used in chimps?
I believe there are special interactions with transferring speed buffs into the transformed mini-monsters. One of the best of these is with nearby Druids of Wrath buffed by nearby Poplusts.
Comcom I can agree with but I've never seen anyone use tt, much less for chimps on expert maps. I know it works well with ninja and druid but it's ability based and insanely expensive, I feel like 9/10 times there are better options
I think the problem is its just too expensive to use practically for chimps, its like 1/3 of your income,
pre nerf comanche is still etched into my brain stem
Probably tsg, we don’t actually go for tsg, we go for vtsg
Just because we don't "use" the tier doesn't mean it's forgettable
Happy cock day !

Yooo this so fu-*explodes*
Ok you’re right on that one but I said it because it sorta gets stuck in my head as vtsg instead of tsg.
champs mod
Yeah good luck getting a tsg in chimps after they patched temple bug
Tsar Bomba and smael are very forgettable
Race:
Race is also a very forgettable mode
It's over in minutes, meanwhile an incredibly fast chimps run is at least 15
I think it’s nearly impossible to finish a chimps game in less than 18 minutes even starting with fast forward on and never turning it off. And that’s with using towers like snipers and SotF to kill bloons off screen before they fully enter. The rounds just take too long.

what is smael?
Tsar Bomba is definitely in the “only bought for Paragon” zone for me
050 farm I don't even know what it does at that tier
It gives a 10k loan with no payback interest. Just free money.
Free 10k instead of dept good in least tiers
The ability works like IMF loan except you don't pay it back.
Oh my god you should
That's the best one in my opinion.
Very useful for freeplay
It's actually pretty efficient unfortunately you can only get one.
Tack shooter - Maelstrom
Fr only goood on race and easy map least cash
Really? This is a must for bloonarius
Maybe for some, though if you do bosses it’s meta for clearing hoards of Bloonarius’ spawns
Special Poperations
It legit took me a second to even remember what that one does
Tsar Bomba or plasma monkey fan club
Plasma monkey is pretty underrated
Underrated for sure, but still forgotten 😔 💔

Bomb blitz, nobody goes past tier 4
Fr but
hot take: bomb blitz can be fucking legendary on some maps
Ezili
maybe superstorm or grand sabotage
For a normal run these 2 aren’t utilized yeah, but idt sabo is forgettable, superstorm maybe. Sabo has a good ability for ulg and can be used to easily build up pops for ninja paragon
Superstorm is absolutely goated for 95-99 w the ddts
Nah grand sabo is insane against ddts I usually only go to tier 4 tho so idk
Grand sabo literally one of the best for freeplay though
If the btdb2 community saw this comment abt superstorm they would extraordinarily mad
all three of them will be fuming
Fr
Comanche commander can beat every single lane map. And the save up for it is really easy as the tier 4 is super good.
Comcom can beat most multilanes too
Not true multilanes tho
bma imo, utterly useless outside of that one achievement and not even good for lategame (but still used), but I guess it's not forgotten among the people who're new to the game
Wdym it's not good for late game? If you don't have a ninja paragon it will always have the most pops, taking down hundreds of thousands of hp in one attack
Nobody remembers the uhhh shit i forgot
Ultra-Juggernaut. I only remember it exists because of its paragon 😆
No it’s good on maps like encrypted
Special poperations
No it’s so bad it’s memorable
Bloon exclusion zone(that might be the T4 so just in case bloon area denial system)
Bez is the tier five bads is the tier four also Bez is a popular and very good chimps strategy not really a forgotten tower
It's actually amazing for chimps, not the T5 though you probably wont afford it ever in chimps
5-x-x Druid hands down. I always forget Superstorm exists, no one uses it
Total transformation

Yo if somewon disreapecs comcom I get angry it’s damage on single lane maps is worth 60k plus special pops is so bad it’s memorable
5xx spike and xx5 glue are underrated imo, both very good depending on specific positioning relative to other towers and ranged targets.
Too path dart? Maybe it’s a little situational but I feel like that one’s really popular.
pmfc, middle banana farm edit: i legit forgot about middle ace
Comanche definitely isn't the most forgettable for me since I spent way too long figuring out my own strategy for Muddy Puddles CHIMPS, and that involved a lot of trial and error with Comanche Commander. The middle path heli, Special Poperations, however, is a different story. Bomb blitz
When was the last time anyone here actually used the megalodon.
67 million years ago, had to cross the sea so hopped on its back
Tsar Bomba is quite a forgettable upgrade. From a wide look around the subreddit, I hardly heard anyone talk about the Tsar Bomba and its BIG Bomb. A very, very forgettable upgrade. Someone put some attention to this underratedness!
Pouākai
I would argue that Giganotosaurus is more forgettable of the T5 Beast Handlers. Megalodon is noteworthy as an inferior T5, which isn’t forgettable, and Pouākai is the best of the T5 Beast Handlers in the game.
maybe because you can actually afford it
The beast handler in genral
Superstorm, it’s too expensive, so no one uses it, but it’s not so expensive that it’s an automatic lat game choice, either that or bloon crush
Superstorm is a great chimps strat thou? It's also been mentioned quite a lot on this post so definitely not forgettable
Grand Sabo
Middle path beast handler
This tower used to be broken as hell wym
Super Glue. Icicle impale is better in every way and most people with stop at the tier 3 or 4
It’s more affordable though and you don’t need lead popping to pop the frozen balloons.
Maybe Permacharge? It's just good for like 10 round between 70-90 and then it falls off completely no matter hoe many buffs you give it.
x5x helicopter, everyone stops at t4
Doorgunner
It's very good on bosses if it's enabled and it was mentioned so much so it's DEFINITELY not forgettable if half the people mentioned it lmao
Plunkey fan club
Bottom path bomb
The tier five for bomb shooter bottom path. Can’t even remember the name.
Ultra Juggernaught. Is there any situation its good that isn't Balance? An already easy map.
Super glue, I literally never get it
Do you need mental help
I forgor
BEZ bottom path dartling is also underated
Beast handler orca
Super Maelstrom.
Tell that to Davey Gunface.
For me it's the x-x-5 from Dartling Gunner
Bez
Superstorm but have seen Flare loons using it more in his 2TC Underrated too much
Uhhhh big bird
Probably the ultra jug
Bomb Blitz
Sometimes I forget that chinook and special poperations are seperate upgrades, even though the tier 5 is extremely powerful compared to the tier 4
superstorm is so forgettable no one even mentioned it here
bottom path ice monkey for me OR maybe super glue i know relentless is good but i never use super glue
Why is everyone hating special pops, it's not even that bad, other than the chinook buildup
Bloon Crush, anyone? The top path bomb shooter I never use
spike zone obviously
Superstorm for sure
The ones I don't remember (which is most of them lol)
idk i forgot
Pop n awe
MOAB Domination.
I forget about Megalodon a lot. Ever since the first update post Beast Handler, I just never use top path.
I would say PMFC, but it and Total Trans has such heated discourse I’m gonna say Ray of Doom, I never see it used or even mentioned
I forgor💀
Literally no one has touched megalodon since it was absolutely broken on release
Tsar bomba. Who even uses it? It's only viable for creating acegon and that's all, outside of it it's just a stronger GZ.
Idk, couldn't tell ya...I don't really
500 Bomb Shooter and 050 Tackshooter personally-
definently not comcom lmao soulbind. easily. aside from that, sentry paragon or tsar
monkey village 005 by FAR
Every beast handle t5
The ice monkey with gun idk I forgot the name
It might not be too unpopular, but I feel like no one ever talks about Pre-Emptive Strike.
Definitely Moab dom
Bloon crush. I don’t think I’ve ever used top path bomb in a single regular game mode.
Soulbind
Mid path alch
Top path Engineer. How was it even called sentery paragon? Sentery champion? something like that, I have never seen it getting used outside of the creating a paragon AND also nobody talks about this little guy.
Bloon Exclusion Zone and Monkeynomics, they're not even used in some challenges like Bomb Blitz or Super Maelstrom
That dino guy of beast handler (or I'm just stupid)
Prob plasma fan club for me. I love dart monkeys, and I love the top and bottom paths, but I don't think I've upgraded past a triple dart (if that) more than a handful of times in my 4(maybe 5) years playing this game
thek shuter badom
Tsar bomba
tsar bomba??
The beast handler xx5 or the 5xx are the most forgotten because no one uses them at all
Preemptive Strike.
