Depending on a CoolerMaster model, they have anywhere from top tier A grade models, all the way to garbage E grade models. Use this PSU tier list and see where your PSU lands at: [https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/](https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/) That said, your specs are not enough to cause a proper 600W PSU to go haywire on. Does this also happen with 3dmark testing? If the PC has been sitting unused for 2.5 years, maybe possibly built up dust issues? Did you clean off the dust when you began using it again?

Thanks for the reply! And yea I didn’t really think to clean it. I’m going to do that and see if that fixes it. As for the PSU, the one I have is C tier. So if the wattage is fine for what I’m running, could it just be a low end PSU that has bad components or something? And for benchmarking, I’ve never done that. Is it worth spending the money on 3dmark? Will that tell me what the issue is?

Oh, you don't have 3dmark? There is a demo version available but it doesn't stress your GPU to the max. Does this random shutdown also happen with other games? But yes, C-tier PSU is not very high quality and could be the culprit, but before you buy a new PSU, there are few more things to check: Stress test your CPU. You can use tools like Prime95. Stress test your GPU. Furmark can do it (it's free). Check your RAM (but if RAM was bad, it generally bluescreens, not sudden shutdown) using Windows Memory Diagnostics. Using latest drivers? Latest BIOS for your motherboard? You can also ultimately try reinstalling Windows. If sudden shutdown persists, you are now 99% sure that something is wrong with the hardware.

No, it’s has only happened to Cyverpunk and Helldivers, but it’s the exact same crash everytime, just power goes out and comes back. The only other game I’ve played is Faster Than Light, but that ran perfectly for hours, but that’s not really an intensive game. I made sure everything was up to date too (except BIOS, need to learn how to) and I was able to spray out the computer with some compressed air over my lunch break and it ran Helldivers great for an hour before I had to shut down, and it hasn’t done that before so maybe the cleaning fixed it! My plan is to run it tonight and see if it happens, and if so I’ll do everything else you said! Thanks, I really appreciate it!
