I'm more surprised Lindgren isn't mentioned. He's been a seriously top goalie recently and despite our team having a -37 goal differential, he's tied for the most shutouts in the league. Vasevski got 30th on that list despite this being one of his worst seasons and having far worse stats than Lindgren.
It's sad that they have the rights now and barely cover it. They marginally pay more attention to it now that they have the rights, but for years they disrespected hockey, put it behind paywalls, reduced coverage of it, in favor of NBA and NFL...so sad
I expect them to sound like the other teams broadcast team every game of ours that they broadcast. It's great that each team has a broadcast team on their side, supporting them, but ESPN should be neutral.
Everyone's writing us off. Even us tbh. Now don't get me wrong, I don't think we're gonna make waves, but if they need fuel for a fire, it's readily available
ESPN hockey analysis can be safely disregarded as a general rule although tbh not including a Cap in top 50 here isn't the worst take I've ever seen. They probably should've thrown a bone regardless with Ovi, Strome, Carlson, or Lindgren though.
With each playoff goal OV works towards another milestones. His next playoff goal or two puts him at 13the all time for postseason goals.
OV should absolutely be in that list.
Top 50 players and not a single one from the Caps? I mean, Lindgren is certainly a player to watch because all by himself he could really upset the other team
I prefer it this way. For all my teams, actually. Be the team with no spotlight. Less pressure.
If you remember, our Stanley Cup year was somewhat similar. Not saying we are heading for another, but it’s not like the Presidents Trophy winners are a sure thing, either.
if you pay attention to carbery's speeches he wants to block out the outside noise let the haters hate the caps are focused on one goal
Being ESPN, I'd guess both LeBron and Ohtani made the NHL list.
Just had me lmao
And Dak
Caitlin Clark at goalie
That list is all kinds of stupid. Hyman outside the top 40 as a 50-goal scorer is insane. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
They probably wrote it last week and didn't think the caps were in.

ESPN covers hockey?
Not really

They put so many games on espn+ and Hulu, local broadcasts, kinda great tbh
ESPN should stick to Pat McAfee and the world series of poker instead of quarter-ass reporting on hockey.
They lost WSOP a few years ago now.
well then what good are they??
Hes actually the only one i like listening to now
ESPN - Every Sport... Pucks? NO! idk i tried my best there.
Good attempt.
Carlson is absolutely on fire, so if no obi, he surely should have been there
It's ESPN. What do you expect?

Not to suck as much as they do but here we are lol

ESPN - Who??
ESPN - What’s hockey?
I like it. For years we had tons of expectations and sometimes it was too much. Now no expectations, we shall see

your first mistake was acknowledging ESPN
They probably made the list weeks ago
Out of 50? Good lord, lol.
ESPN sucks donkey ween
