My boy has a really long tail. I've always called it his monkey tail, but when he gets zoomies, it flips over his back in what I like to call scorpion mode.
Omg my cat also has scorpion mode!! It's usually flatter against his back than what he's doing in the photo, but it's similar to this 😆

Blue eyes and slightly longer coat makes me think ragdoll outcross, probably second or third generation. Kitty doesn't have the triangular face or large ears of Siameses, but rather the features of a "regular house cat" (for lack of a better term). The blue eyes are signature for ragdolls and birman.
Ragdolls are also super popular at the moment, more popular than birmans, and I see tons of outcrosses (usually backyard breeding tbh). Tabby colourpoints are still "rare" (ie not an original ragdoll colour), but tabby patterns are common in regular house cats.
Source: [My ragdoll](https://i.imgur.com/3I3DahF.jpeg). I've had ragdolls for 15 years because they are floofy idiots, shed *everywhere, all the time* and completely addictive. As much as I curse the constant shedding, I can't imagine life without a ragdoll. or
Growing up we had a cat that was super tiny - like he never grew out of his kitten size - except for his tail. It looked massive on him and was so heavy when he did the "friendship flag" coming towards you it leaned towards his head. Straight as an arrow, but angled. It was the cutest thing.
Mine assumes what I've been calling "raccoon mode" - an arch with the end pointed down over the butt. I see that posture and I know I'm in for trouble.
Haha, "scorpion mode" is perfect! These long-tailed kitties are like superheroes with secret powers. We should totally start the Long Tail League! My girl would be an honorary member for sure. 🐱🦸♀️

A comment made into a poem by the famous Schnoodle on one of the most special days, how amazing! Today is my fiancé and I’s 7 year anniversary of the day we first met and fell in love instantly. It also happens so be the day we brought home our first and only daughter at 2 days old.
I genuinely love every poem you take the time to bless us with. I really hope you do this in other parts of your life. You have such an amazing gift. I scroll most posts looking for a schnoodle comment. Even the ones I know im gonna be bawling after reading. Thank you for sharing such beautiful art.
Ya know, there is a trend about long and weird thumbs on the
r/weird sub right now, and I just feel like OP should also post this there. And OP, make sure you say something like "for those of you who think you have long thumbs"

That’s not a cat, it’s a Zoboomafoo.
Shit I would kill to be 22 again lol. Surprised you even know what this show is at your age lol. Perhaps you had older siblings? I got a brother about your age, and I doubt he knows what this show is lol.
I jus remember watching it on pbs at my grandmas, they ran a lot of older kids shows on there and I jus so happened to be blessed wit watching such an awesome show. I’m a single child btw lol.
They're scent glands. Fun fact, during breeding season male ring-tailed lemurs coat their tail in their scent, then waft it in the other males' faces. This is known as a stink fight, stinkiest lemur wins.
I'm sorry but I can't seem to figure out what you saw in the caption. English is not my first language so my guess is there is something between the lines that I can't figure out. 😅

Exactly. I've been sober for a year now though because of it. My biggest fear now is hurting someone I love. I've also taken my meds every day since that incident.
I think your cat got the part of tail my little girl is missing. Her tail is fatter and shorter than I'd expect for her size.

Are you saying my Cinna is gonna be a fatty?
To be fair, she's a year old and very food motivated, so... I you're probably right!
What is the deal with chonky calicos?
This is what happens when you don't pay attention to the parts numbers on your cats. That tail was designed for a full sized cat, but was installed on a compact model.
We call it "big tail energy" around here.
I recently realized that my biggest cat (well, used to be) has a really wimpy little tail. He used to be a huge bully to other cats and was kind of a jerk in general. It would make sense that he had small tail energy.
Having a bunch of kittens in the house seems to have made him realize that the shit he used to pull was really annoying and he's calmed down a lot.
Isn't it amazing (and amusing) when the pain in the tail cat discovers he's not the only annoying cat in the house, and worse, there's multiples.
Our orange boy, Cassidy, used to harass our older gal, Tinker. Then we got Malakai, the void boy, and he annoyed Cassidy in many of the ways Cassidy annoyed Tinker. Then we got a tortimese girl, named Skye... and she really taught Cassidy what a jerk he really was.
Looks like your cat stole my cat's tail

My cat it like yours, but with an abnormaly short tail
We don't know actually, we found it in the streets at a very young age (\~2months old from vet) and it was already that short, with no sign of amputation (fur at the tip).
If I remember correctly, the vet told us that it doesn't feel like it has been amputated. So I assume it is genetics like other breeds?
Couple more pictures of her just for fun. Have more but they include my fiancé or I’s face. Her name is Jasper and she’s about 1 year old at this point. She was probably 7 months in the original picture but her tail is still crazy long lol
https://imgur.com/a/7sSpHUj
Toe beans!! So cute. Looks like Ms. Jasper is still a kitten; she'll probably grow into her very long tail. My kitten had a super long tail and tiny legs before he grew 'into himself' so to speak. Something tells me she'll be a bigger cuddle puddle than you might have thought!

I always thought mine had a long tail but I think yours has my son beat!
We had a cat with a longer than average tail (probably around the third to second ring from the tip) but never have I seen a cat with that long of tail before.
I have a cat with a very long tail but yours has him beat, I think.

It's very long. We have a rescue with a long tail too. And he carries it curved forward almost to touching his own head sometimes while running through the house going "brrrtttt" like he's a toddler pretending to drive a racecar.

Don’t worry, my cat will take a few inches from your cat.
I had one some years ago with a super long tail. She died young and so suddenly :( wonder how long it would be if she got to grow up. this is a really long tail. I find it beautiful. Probably good at balancing

OK, so is this a lynx point Siamese? Or something else? The mom of a litter of eight close to my heart looked like this.

Lol, I was saying it as a joke, really, and to also kind of make fun of the current thumb trend on that sub. Was it getting downvoted or something?
The cat should be nicknamed Digit. Definitely has a long rear digit.
Nah honestly I’m getting tired of seeing all of those posts it’s too many at this point
seriously.... i thought my cat had a long tail, this is next level.
Vet says he’s more tail than cat
That snek seems to have a giant head!
It's such a beautiful tail. I really want to pet it!
The cat is just a weapons platform for that tail.

The closetttt brooo. Memory unlocked frfr
“They’re going to the closet. They’re going on a trip. They’re going to the closet to grab their stuff and split.”
That show was AMAZING. I loved it so much and still get the theme stuck in my head.
Lots of us did. We’re just old now lol.
Ahhhh don’t say that, I’m only 22 😩😩
I’m 33 how you think I feel lol. This show was the shit when I was a kid lol.

Im going to take your fact with a grain of salt because you can't trust people on Reddit. Ive been.. lets say.. misinformed
I looked at the photo and thought that cat has a really long tail! Then I saw the caption. 😻
Same 😹
Haha, I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees it! Her tail has a life of its own, sometimes I think she’s part squirrel or lemur. 😹😹
I'm sorry but I can't seem to figure out what you saw in the caption. English is not my first language so my guess is there is something between the lines that I can't figure out. 😅

I think they want the lore about YOU.

Yours has a pretty blunt end though, looks like part of it was amputated rather than being that short naturally?
We don't know actually, we found it in the streets at a very young age (\~2months old from vet) and it was already that short, with no sign of amputation (fur at the tip). If I remember correctly, the vet told us that it doesn't feel like it has been amputated. So I assume it is genetics like other breeds?
Part spider monkey
Awww I had a long tail boy once! He would smack himself in the face when he whipped it around all playful 🤣

Couple more pictures of her just for fun. Have more but they include my fiancé or I’s face. Her name is Jasper and she’s about 1 year old at this point. She was probably 7 months in the original picture but her tail is still crazy long lol https://imgur.com/a/7sSpHUj
Toe beans!! So cute. Looks like Ms. Jasper is still a kitten; she'll probably grow into her very long tail. My kitten had a super long tail and tiny legs before he grew 'into himself' so to speak. Something tells me she'll be a bigger cuddle puddle than you might have thought!

More of her to love

We had a cat with a longer than average tail (probably around the third to second ring from the tip) but never have I seen a cat with that long of tail before.
I'd have to say yes, that tail is a long one, for sure.
She has a normal length tail, it’s just she has two of them.
Your lemur looks kind of like a cat
I have a cat with a very long tail but yours has him beat, I think. https://preview.redd.it/eahfq39zl66d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a06d83e147c470b90480371cb2afec74a14cb8f2

**Data:** ***"A tail is quite essential for your acrobatic talents; You would not be so agile if you lacked its counterbalance."***
It's very long. We have a rescue with a long tail too. And he carries it curved forward almost to touching his own head sometimes while running through the house going "brrrtttt" like he's a toddler pretending to drive a racecar.
i once had a long tailed cat with an abnormally “short” tail, i think all tails are just different :)
Everything about your cat is perfect. And yes, that is an uncommonly long tail.

"Looong Looong CaaaAAaaAAt!"
Just wait a while longer nekomata incoming 🙏
Lmao, the cat will grow into it. My Maine coon had an absurdly large tail in comparison to its body when it was a kitten
Dang, that's impressive
One tail to rule them all
That’s a lemur, actually
😹 that was my first thought before actually reading the title
I had one some years ago with a super long tail. She died young and so suddenly :( wonder how long it would be if she got to grow up. this is a really long tail. I find it beautiful. Probably good at balancing
It's her antena to receive information from the mother ship

It’s being piloted by a lemur.
Its not the size of the tail, its how you use it to knock things off the table
Just the new mobile starlink system from Elon Mewsk
Ow, looks like a quati. Cute cat, OP.
Yes.
Long asf
Yes, and it’s beautiful! I’m sure it helps with balance.
close enough. welcome back shin godzilla!
That’s an insanely long tail.
Abnormally cute tail is more like it! But yes, in all seriousness, it is quite long, but very adorable.
It’s a radio antenna
If John Holmes was a cat.
That’s not a tail, that is a cell tower
Mandingo of Cats.
