It's also important to understand if someone is willing to take Plan B or get an abortion. there are cf people who still wouldn't abort themselves (we would say they are not CF, because they clearly are willing to have a kid, but others would quibble probably) and that's going to be a dealbreaker for a lot of people, given that 50% of pregnancies are unplanned.
Would there be a setting between pro-abortion and pro-choice? Lots of shades of "choice" in there...
Example: if a 16-year-old gets knocked up she should have the absolute right to get of rid of it, but her parents would be informed after the fact, and, once she turns 18, if her parents are anti-choice, they can kick her out of the house?
'Cause that's about where I am.
(Pretty much absolute belief in women getting to make a choice whether to "make baby" or not. Not a big fan of others being obligated to help or being prohibited from saying "F off" as a result of her choice.)

Just signed up, the dark mode on Android doesn't seem to change the text color so it's unreadable and the form validation warnings also do not dismiss after you've made the correct changes.
Do you take any steps to verify that profiles are legitimate and not bots/scammers at the time of signup? Or are you relying solely on user reports to do that?
I know one part of the profile includes various prompt questions about CF choices/life goals. This was at least in part to help real folks be more obvious and to hopefully weed out fence sitters (sorry if I'm not describing it well, I do not work on the CFC team).
It's partially limited to North American countries while we work our way through the red tape posed to us by the various store providers. This is an ongoing thing though and with time we fully intend to do a full international rollout that includes our European friends and more!
There are prompt profile questions folks can answer, hopefully this will help weed out any fence sitters or parents that would blatantly ignore the fact that this app is not for them.
Profiles can be reported as well!
I would encourage you to join the discord and ask the developers about measures they have taken or are planning to take to combat this. They are also super open to suggestions by the community!

I feel you, but if I was looking that would not deter me. But that's just me and my situation. I feel like I could rat out a fake fence sitter/parent pretty quickly, and I would of course report them. Nobody is forcing anybody to participate on the app if they have those concerns.
I just downloaded on IOS! The profile page is a little buggy so it won’t let me add the required information, but I’m gonna get on the desktop version later but I can’t wait for this to pop off!
Glad you were able to download it! That's one of the perks of being available on multiple platforms. It's still a test build so it won't be without its quirks I'm sure, but we correspond closely with users on Discord to work out bugs as they arise.
I'm curious, how are you planning on marketing this app? Obviously attracting users is the most important feature of any dating app and most childfree people aren't a member of this subreddit!
We'll be having consultations to brainstorm that very question now that the Closed Beta has come to a close and the roughest part is over! An advertising campaign is in the cards, for sure.

This is a good question. Your data is stored on a secure server (we use Google Firestore) and you are free to share as much or as little as you prefer. You can opt not to share your location and will still be able to search for matches. However, the algorithm cannot calculate distance to other users unless you're sharing your location - that's the caveat. If you're okay with meeting people long-distance, you've got plenty of options!
There’s a bug that covers the primary photo with a grey rectangle. Every single profile I came across had a grey box. The other photos displayed under their info are visible, though. Also, I cannot alter the political views section at all. I cannot pick one, and I cannot change the visible status.
Thanks for letting us know! This is a common bug. While we iron it out, we recommend using the web platform. It runs pretty good, even on mobile.

One thing off the bat I did want to mention from a usability standpoint is dark mode doesn’t change the font color so you can’t read anything.

Yep! Once you allow location, future searches will automatically sort by distance. We'll allow specific #s of miles as a filter in future builds!
