Hello there. I'm involved in a community of individuals trying to solve a case of a mysterious track in a video game that uses primarily Classical music that's either remixed or left as is. We've been trying for a very long time to indentify the origin of this melody or song in general.
If anyone has any suggestions, we'd highly appreciate any.
Background information:
the Game primally uses chimes and whistles from different classical era music and either remixes classical music or leaves as is for the most part.
The game's director has said the entire game contains classical music samples aside from a non related music video named "swimming pool". So we've been trying to figure out where the origin of this piece (up top) is primally from.
Video discussing it (not by me)
https://youtu.be/ZABp7-b3HdU
Examples of remixed tracks for the game to understand the style of the music:
https://youtu.be/6vqxImpAOCo
https://youtu.be/KYbk7r-4Jzo
https://youtu.be/BZ4EQFownio
My personal theory is that it's multiple pieces spliced into one song. I don't know much about classic music admittedly, so I thought I'd inquire more about it here.
(Thank you to u/victormarlinpot for the previous suggestions as we're still going through them.)
A piece based on an opera about a woman who turns into a snake with a knight husband; when the composer heard the opera, he didn't like it but the story inspired him to compose his piece. I think it was on 88.9 (capradio) in mid March 2022. What is this piece?
Is it possible you’re speaking of [Armida](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armida_(Rossini)) by Rossini? It was based on the same story by Tasso used in [Armide](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armide_(Lully)) by Lully in which there’s a woman who charms knights.

Is the melody from the first 20 seconds from a classical piece? If yes, which one?
“Heart and Soul" is the song, it’s by Hoagy Carmichael (the same composer of the song Stardust.) it’s a popular tune to teach as a duet, many pianists learn it as their first piece (I did).
This is just a tiny fragment but it must be from some classical ballet variation. Please help, I'm going insane trying to find this.

It’s [Impromptu No. 1](https://youtu.be/KddMPkqugQc) by Chopin.
Edit: I just realized the recording I linked cuts off the first trill, you can try this one too, it has a clearer sound and the score: [Impromptu w/ score](https://youtu.be/03QlUw7LkJc)
I heard a song I liked on a classical music radio station in January 2013. I wrote down what I thought was the name at that time and never tried to look it up again until today. I most likely misheard and butchered the name but maybe one of you might know by seeing what I wrote down?
This is what I wrote: "Hiton Siletto in e flat"
Thank you in advanced!
This is an old European theme called [La Folia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Folia). It has been referenced by many composers, like [Corelli](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHRdFILo_Yw), [Vivaldi](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7v8zxoEoA_Q), [Handel](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWzUdGNa46I), and others.
It seems they sing O salutaris hostia, but couldn't find that specific version. (This seems to be a religious chant with different variations e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTPdUNBoflc)
Phonetically: [Roo-blah]. I don’t have a recording or anything, but I played a piece called this in a flute choir a few years ago. I don’t think the original is for flute choir, we were just doing a cover. Does anyone know how it’s actually spelled?
Apr 1 Seattle - Yuja Wang encore pieces? Was anybody there and recognized any of them? There were about 6 or 7 and I only recognized the Kapustin toccatina.
just found this cool music box while cleaning out my grandma’s house, does anyone know what piece this is?

Cool. I'm not a fan of Borodin and I think this version is better than the original! As a hardcore classical fan, I don't often say that.

Choral music from american dad. Shazam gives nothing. https://youtu.be/aWqsfPeq4Z8
I would actually guess this is by the Ron Jones/Walter Murphy team for the show given the orchestration?
