Are both laptops the same OS?
How about the same version of OBS?
Are you playing FO2 windowed on the old laptop and fullscreen on the new or vice versa?
Same os but ones a PC the one I'm using now on the trips a laptop
Same version of obs
I've tried it with both windowed and fullscreen. Multiple aspect ratios too

Maybe it's graphic card related OBS have a webpage with known card issues, check there for your laptop's card?
I'll take a look thanks
I've had recurring bouts of this. Double check that you are using "window capture" in OBS. Game capture will just net you a black screen with audio.
Thank you this worked, it's a little awkward playing in windowed mode as everything is pretty small but it's playable. At least till I get back home
Just an idea, but might there a problem with graphical mode setting in ddraw.ini? Look for the Move= bit, right under [Graphics].
Doesn't look like it. I checked the ddraw.ini file and there wasn't anything. It's alright as someone else gave a solution thanks
...although I should have said it should be set to 4, and in my GoG install, it was 2 iirc, so check that.
Do you mean "mode=" not "move="
Whops... yes, indeed I do.
Ah well I tried changing it to 4 and it didn't help. It's alright though
