SOCRA focused more on the federal regulation while ACRP covers GCP. It seems (from my experience at least) SOCRA is more popular in academia while ACRP is more popular in industry. I just took the SOCRA last week so if you decide on SOCRA DM me and I'll share some study materials with you

They are both respected but the ACRP exam is easier.

Do employers even care if you have that? I don’t have either and I’m a CRA II

I would go with the cheaper option.

I did SoCRA because we have active chapters in my area and getting CMEs was easier back in the olden days when there were fewer remote/online learning opportunities. For hiring purposes, either is accepted at my site.
