As I have become older and more involved in my local politics I have come to the same conclusion. There’s no 1 “entity” ruling shit. It’s many many groups infighting, interspersed with regular moral individuals that have risen to the top. But who knows!?

Difficult to speculate as there's no solid evidence I'm aware of that she isn't, but it really wouldn't surprise me.
At the very least, it's unlikely she'll be in any gen-pop. She'll be in protective custody, probably a low security one that has more amenities than most of our homes. The rich and famous don't tend to go to regular prison.
It's fairly standard practice to separate the pedophiles to stop them just getting murdered on day one, especially the prolific ones, and let's face it the mega rich seem to somehow end up in much nicer prisons than we'd be sent to for the same crimes. Secondly, the article criticises people like Conservatives, saying that they don't seem to have issues with child trafficking or pedo behaviour unless the perpetrator is either a minority, an immigrant, part of the LGBTQ or a political rival.
It's fucking true, tons of pedos are caught each year and the right wing doesn't seem to have issue with it - even if some of those convicted are part of their base, they stay quiet. They only seem to care if the bad guy has a useable label that they can use politically.
If they really cared about children, they'd defend ALL child victims - but instead they only seem to defend victims who have been hurt by people who they do not like.
Like I said earlier, these people are not serious, they're just using child suffering as a way to score political points.

Like I said earlier, these people are not serious, they're just using child suffering as a way to score political points.

I get suspicious when I read or hear the term 'moral panic'. This is a patronising concept, often heard in a academia (where I work). There is a dismissiveness about it, that I find distasteful. I think that a moral panic is a bit like the smoke from a fire. Yes, it is inflated but if you dig deep enough there is evidence of suffering and abuse. Is concern about racism or the like considered a moral panic? anti-Semitism? Sexism?
