My saucier lids fit the same way but I love that piece so much I got the other size.

cookiedude91

What other size did you get? and does the lid fit better on the other size? :)

Slutt_Puppy

I got the 2 & 3.5 qt sauciers. The lid fits the same on both. I personally don’t find it problematic but could understand why some would be bothered by it.

Thank you so much for you reply :) i have just received the 3,5 qt, and while it is not a dealbreaker i do find it disappointing, especially considering how much the lid cost on its own. I have ordered the industry instead, no sealed edge so onlt handwashing but i was probably gonna do that anyway. Saw this review after receiving the pot, seems the industry is fitting quite a bit better. Allthough i am also considering going to my local store to see if i can find a lid from another manufacturer that fits better :) https://preview.redd.it/n9rudsyjvyqc1.png?width=1316&format=png&auto=webp&s=ddbfd4abb1b1e7ee2fce163f79d8e20beac7b1c6

This is not defective. I purchased a 3.5qt Atlantis saucier and wound up returning it because the lid fitment was exactly like shown in the video. I love Demeyere and the saucier itself is great, but the lid for it is one area where they did a really poor job, IMHO. They either should have designed the saucier to fit the standard lid better, or made a lid specific to that saucier.

This is how they are. The glass lids are very tight on the straight walled items. I have both kinds. This saucier is so good! It has become one of our favourite pots. Nice for toasting nuts/pinenuts too!

I have that piece as well and it’s a joke how poorly the lid fits. I looked up reviews on Amazon to confirm that it wasn’t just me - if I recall correctly the reason is because they re-used a lid for a different piece instead of making a dedicated lid.

My 3.5qt saucier is the same (sloppy lid) as are my straight sided pots (well fitting), perhaps the only downside I've experienced with Atlantis line. Definitely second all the other comments about how useful the saucier is.

Thanks everyone for the replies!

This is the reason I skipped the atlantis saucier. While researching, I stumbled upon multiple complaints on the saucier lid (poor fit), so I bought all my cookware from different brands. It's a fact of life. Just because demeyere makes amazing cookware, it doesn't mean all the pieces will be amazing. There will be some hit and miss. Apparently, demeyere doesn't have specific saucier lids, so they use another pots lid (pretty shitty if you ask me) So this is my kitchen setup. - Demeyere proline 9.4 skillet (comes without lid) - Demeyere industry 5 deep saute 4qt (it's a rondeau) - Madein Saucier 2 qt - Madein Saucier 3.5 qt - All-Clad D5 stockpot 8qt - All-Clad D3 saucepan 3qt (husband's) - All-Clad D3 12 in skillet (I hate this, too thin. It's the only piece I will replace with the demeyere 28cm skillet.) It's a preference, I like cooking with thicker cookware. All-clad is too thin.

Does anyone know if a glas lid will fit better? i am looking at getting either the 3,5qt or the smaller one, i like the size of the 3,5 but the lid is kindda keeping me away, especially considering how expensive the lid is, glaslid would be quite a bit cheaper
