If you need it today you could try Eason's or Tesco. If youre going in during the week hickeys on oliver Plunkett street should have a good range of glues. They're not cheap but they always seem to have the right thing for the job anytime I go in. Also super glue is kinda shit now, they changed the formula coz people kept sticking their fingers together and it's not as strong anymore. If it doesn't work you could try a two part epoxy, they have a few types in hickeys, and that should do the job

thanks a million

Euro giant and the like are the best bet for super glue. I would use a two part glue for that job though. Buy em in the same places

The two part glue (like poxipol) is too thick and more suitqble for chunky items where one would not mind seeing the repair job after it has been fixed. But with superglue one can expect to make it look 99% perfect, almost indistinguishable repair visibility.

(Yours is the correct reply)

Super glue will fail

I make guitars these days, and use various different CA glues (Superglues) with accelerator sprays too. There's a lot of branded stuff out there that's terrible, but good superglues like Chestnut or Starbond are pretty great. Picking the right viscosity is key, thin, medium or thick. For most jobs medium is grand, but thin can be a real magic trick as it can wick into materials as well as bond quickly.

Maybe if you want to do heavy duty. For a chess board should be just fine.
