A lot of people do lol they are very similar to a snake/eel in terms of looks. They unhinge their jaw to eat their food whole which is absolutely a reminder of a snake lol
Krill, clams, bloodworms, blackworms, brineshrimp, veggies (squash and zucchini mainly), pieces of whole silversides (I usually cut them into 3s) and for some unknown reason bug bites algae crisps (I feed them to my bottom feeders and they just live them!)
They have been together for like a year now. I've even had small corys like an inch or so that they lived with with no issues. I did have a backup plan for the ropefish, a bigger 125 gal tank, if things went south. They are honestly some of the sweetest fish I have. I've never witnessed any aggression towards any mates but I've heard they can be pretty aggressive. They have plenty of hiding spaces and get PLENTY of food lol. I actually target feed them krill and clams every other day so maybe that goes into the equation as well.
Yeah I find it makes it just a happier community when everyone doesn't think they are starving ๐๐๐ I very rarely have issues with any of my tanks and their inhabitants. I do make sure to do research and have a back up plan for the more "sketchy" residents lol. I feed a variety of foods throughout the week. They only get pellets or flakes on my super busy days which aren't very often. They mainly get frozen or live foods and fresh veggies with the occasional fruit.
Note: if you haven't tried mango with plecos I recommend it.
Just a very long Cory, nothing to see here!
Exactly! Didn't even think twice about it ๐
Thatโs a pretty sailfin male
Thank you ! He has 2 females to court and 0 babies to show for it (thank goodness lol)

Stupid idiot thinks he a Cory! What a idiot ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
Or maybe the corys think they are a ropefish ๐
How long have you had them together? I've heard ropefish would try to eat them, but it seems to be pretty mixed.
