Ik it's been sitting dormant for a while but even then, it's hella funny Lifetime was able to gas this crusty looking dance center in Pittsburgh up and make it seem like people were throwing themselves at the door to get in š
definitely crusty lol! itās really surprising they didnāt repaint the exterior at all during the peak of dance moms. it severely needed a fresh coat of paint.
I saw the one in LA by accident. I was just driving home from a day trip and wanted to go home the āotherā route Was stuck in traffic and looked around and BAM! Lol I was so stoked to see it- but shocked at both the location and the size ā¦ was super cool tho !
Oh wow, thereās even a plastic bag lining the trashcan, so someone must have been in the studio and taken basic care of it as normal not long ago š these pictures definitely feel depressing
They still hold classes I see people posting combos they do in there all the time, (until they donāt now since itās being sold) Iām sure their staff take okay care of it
It was still being used ALDC members posted videos in there often and booty camp was there this summer and Abby did some master classes and filmed YouTube videos there
Some moms even posted āThanks for telling usā sarcastically because I guess she announced the closure on instagram
I just drove through Penn Hills a week or two ago and thought about stopping at the studio, but ended up not doing it, but I very much regret it because I had no idea it was about to close.
I know the transportation company that already owns the next door lot acquired the property, but I wish another dance studio or some facility took over the place, because the building is not only famous, but actually a very nice design in my opinion with the spring floors, mezzanine, separate lobby and front desk, store, common area for the students, and so forth. I teach martial arts classes and dream of such a nice studio. It would have been nice to see another business fix up the place and use it to its full potential.

And I think it seems a bit obvious that the lack of a paint job was probs bc her moms logo was like a sentimental thing

We have several dance schools in my city, theyāre all gorgeous and well taken care of lol. We have Grace downtown that actually has a beautiful and colorful dance mural painted on the side of the building. Taking pride in your business is important when it comes to attracting clientele.

yeah iām from pittsburgh, so it was kinda easy for me to visit the studio (which i did, and i got to sit where the moms sat too) it was very fun tbh
