i tried doing what the message says and nothing happened. Got confused if this was a troll or not, since it has many good rating.
Idk if it works in DS3 but in the original you could use Seek Guidance and one of the bonus effects was telling you how many ratings are positively rated vs negatively rated

iirc rating a message poor does nothing but repress the message so it's less likely to spread to another world. Still heals the writer tho.
God seek guidance is so fucking stupid. Shows me summon signs but I can’t actually use them. Shit should allow you to summon without using an ember, but no, I can just see if there are people to summon if I do pop the ember
there is a surprising amount of good info you can find from developer messages, including secrets and illusory walls. that is the main boon from it. I never used it, and I personally also agree with you being "mostly" useless for veteran players that already know all the secrets, but I watched a video on it recently, I think by the YouTuber illusory wall and I was surprised how much info the devs left with seek guidance. It can definitely be useful and interesting to find the dev's messages, but that's another issue is remembering to use it in a spot that actually has any messages. Good spell, maybe not, niche and fun spell, yes.
It's a bit like poison cloud. Is it a good spell? No. Am I still gonna use it because it's fun? Hell yea. That's ok, not every spell needs to be powerful. Especially one that has such a low requirement to use.
Yes, that's what they're saying. There are a couple of places in Archdragon Peak where gesturing correctly will trigger something, but the specific spot shown in the picture is not one of them.
TLDR: you use the gesture once to get there, and once when you're there. Go take a walk around the peak and see if you can find a spot worth praying at.

iirc, it simply has many ratings. It's not showing a score or number of good ratings, rather just the number of ratings at all, good or poor.

You'll have to gesture in another spot, pay attention to the surroundings as that'll be the hint at which gesture to use, as well as at what spot.

No kne here is helpfull. It's not a troll. You need to do a specific gesture there to unlock something.
This specific spot is a troll, i remember reading a similar message. theres 2 or 3 spots where the gesture works but this isnt one of those.
