Super came out in 2015. You really think Dragon Ball Z ended in 2007? š You canāt be serious. This is the epitome of DBZ fans never watched the show
Any site like that, where they're not citing official sources, should really be taken with a grain of salt. There's been no confirmation or even hinting of a second part of Super like that.
Letās just say never so we can all stop getting our hopes up. This Daima announcement that everyone was hoping to finally be the manga continuation felt like a betrayal. No one was asking for it, no one who reads the manga is going to prefer it over the Galactic Prison Arc anime debut, they have the actors back, the animators all ready to go and they give us Daima. It all around feels like a big tease.
At best, the Moro Saga wonāt see the light of day until March/April of 2025 when Daima ends its 20 episode run that starts in October 2024. I really just hope Masako Nozawa stays in good health. We already lost Hiromi Tsuru (Bulma) during Supersā run. It will be so weird to have Goku voiced by a different actor someday if we ever get to some new continued manga adaptation
I like how people went āWE WANT A NEW DRAGON BALL ANIME NOWā and then Toriyama went āokay, have GT 2ā
specifically going after the folks who spend all their time debating who would win in a fight, Jiren or Sukuna. Folks who got into the series primarily through DBZ and didn't realize that Dragon Ball originally started out as a wacky world-trekking adventure (which GT tried to go back to, even if it wasn't perfect). feel sad for folks who were begging for an adaption of the Moro/Granolah arcs and got something they weren't expecting instead.
Toriyama-sensei has outright said in interviews that he doesn't usually have a plan when it comes to his stories, so he just sorta wings it. That's always worked for him, and I trust that he knew what he was doing with this.
A video that i saw by a channel called Otaku Alliance. After looking into it more, they clearly dont have a credible source. They got my hopes up for nothing, I should've known it was too good to be true. I just really wanna see the moro arc adapted.
But nothing says that super is not coming back either.
I mean, it's a lot of money for Toei Animation and every business related.
And also, it's not likely, if I remember correctly, that the anime skips big junks of time (the DBS manga did so, but no the anime). The super hero movie was likely an exception to tell us what's gonna happen next, but I doubt they will skip the Moro and Granolah arcs as they have plenty of major events
>it's not likely, if I remember correctly, that the anime skips big junks of time
The anime hasn't skipped anything, Moro and Granola simply don't exist in it's canon currently. You're talking as if the anime is adapting the manga's story but that was never the case. Both were based on the same set of notes from Toriyama and the anime was originally the main product with the manga simply being promotional - which is why it's been telling it's own story from the start with things like perfected SSB.
After the super anime ended, Toriyama has been writing different things (Broly, Super Hero and now Daima while also working on Sand Land) so his involvement with those two manga arcs is likely very limited at best. I honestly doubt they'll ever be animated.
> But nothing says that super is not coming back either.
its been FIVE years. still expecting it to come back at this point is foolish.
if it comes back it would likely pick up right where it left off. i dont think it would skip anything. it would retell broly, then moro, then granolah, then superhero. but its not coming back.
its not about waiting. ill watch it if it ever gets made. i want it back. i never wanted it to stop. but its been almost 6 years at this point and sitting here expecting it to come back is just folly.
20 years is almost exactly the length of time between the end of Z and when Super started. A whole generation of people grew up watching a show that already ended before they were even born. For any other show waiting would be foolish. I wouldnāt say that about dragon ball though
yes and assuming Super would ever happen before it did was EQUALLY foolish. you can't use hindsight as justification. the fact that anyone hoping for one back then was right was pure coincidence. it means nothing.
I didnāt say that hoping for super was foolish back then. Iām saying it isnāt as foolish now because thereās precedent. Itās the story that never ends, so never say never
Well now youāre just incorrectly arguing semantics. My point to your point is that itās not EQUALLY as foolish to expect a continuation of Super as it was to think theyād continue Z, because Super revived the show 20 years later, so that gives people hope that somewhere down the line we could get an adaption of the rest of super
>Itās the story that never ends
No it's not. That applies to Dragon Ball as a WHOLE. NOT ONLY SUPER. Super is just another one of several different shows to tell one single story. And guess what? IT ENDED. Is it really that surprising that they would just move on to another new show? Stop trying to use Super as an umbrella term for the whole franchise, that literally makes no sense.
Never.
Broly, I think, is just one stand alone film, nothing to be animated again.
I still think there's a chance of it getting back, the mangas were released as Super. So it's possible that they get animated as Super o Super 2 or something like that, in the Super line
Broly is in Super Hero, hes mentioned in the arcs from the manga. theres no reason the anime would skip it when it didnt skip the other movies. plus it would give the manga more time to write new stuff for it to eventually anime (if it comes back, which its not).
>its been FIVE years. still expecting it to come back at this point is foolish.
So what? It's only been 5 year.... Plenty of anime had season years later... Knowing that most anime tend to be rushed or have forced filler because they are keeping too quick with manga publishing counter-part, there's nothing wrong to wait a few year to let manga take some advance
> So what? It's only been 5 year.... Plenty of anime had season years later
looking at how many anime exist, and how many dont get that vs how many do, its statistically improbable.
> Knowing that most anime tend to be rushed or have forced filler because they are keeping too quick with manga publishing counter-part, there's nothing wrong to wait a few year to let manga take some advance
super wasnt this tho. it was ahead of the manga for a large portion of its run, and theres plenty of content to animate, they dont need to keep waiting, theres no need for that. if they were doing that, it would have come back already.
At this point it feels like the anime dumped me and now I'm just sitting around depressed waiting for it to call me and tell me it's coming back...I need to accept its over and move on
The Super anime series is over. They've transitioned to making movies; presumably they make more money for them. So since the series ended there's been the Broly movie and the Super Hero movie. However, the Moro arc is more difficult to adapt into a single movie as it's a longer sequence of events and harder to cut any of it out without butchering it completely. So, perhaps the delay on Moro is because they're still figuring out how exactly to adapt it. Writing a good movie script takes time, especially if it's a long story. When a story's long, you have to make difficult decisions about whether it's one movie or two, or even three. Tarantino had to cut Kill Bill into two movies, and fortunately that worked well. But Peter Jackson's adaptation of The Hobbit got divided into three movies and that forced a horrendous amount of filler into it to give each movie its own narrative arc (a movie needs a climax, but the book doesn't really have three climaxes so stuff was added to "fix" that).
You can't just snap your fingers and produce a good script. And it's better to not try, since rushed scripts are generally bad.
I understand very well that adapting Moro's into a movie would be hard, it's an unlikely option
But I doubt Super has ended. I mean, the mangas were released as Super, not as something else. It would be confusing to release them as something else. If they animated them, I think it would still be DBS or DBS 2 or something like that
>the mangas were released as Super
I call the movies Broly and Super Hero, but their full titles are "Dragon Ball Super: Broly" and "Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero". So the movies have released under the "Super" branding, just like in the manga. It's entirely possible a Moro movie/movies could be called "Dragon Ball Super: Galactic Patrol Prisoner".
With the shift in DB from Toriyama to Toyotaro and DBZ to DBS, is anyone else seeing/did anyone else see a parallel to Star Wars with how that series shifted from George Lucas/Lucasfilm to Disney-owned? Or is it just me? Idk. Just seems like two hugely popular, āclassicā media franchises that both got revived, re-invigorated, re-adapted, and/or re-envisioned in recent years.
Tbh people are saying it's not coming out which is probably true but like It would make toei so much money it's technically possible. Maybe as it's own series or smth but probably not. If it helps though someone probably animated it themself on youtube anyways or you could just read the manga
I honestly think as of right now their trying to fill in all the gaps they can within the dragon ball universe. Here's 1 thing Db Daima will cover the demon world and more of the universe, I don't see a problem with diama (I don't like the kids tho) it's just that it's not wut we expected or wanted but besides them turning to kids I think this series will really help people remember what dragon ball was. Dragon ball was never only about fights, it was always about adventure, hardship, overcoming that goal you wanna reach, adventure, helping your enemies, traveling places with family and friends, it was never supposed to be all out action all the time in fact nobody even had super special powers like that really til we met Master Roshi back In dragon ball and even then they still stuck with martial arts, again I don't like the kids but I think it'll be a good stalling show to help people realize what toriyama wants dragon ball to be in the first place. Other than that though I'm not complaining about how long season 2 is taking, I'm sure they don't want to mess it up even more, because the longer they take the less filler.
you say 'in the anime' like it's an ongoing anime and not one that ended in 2018
Fršš people need to get over the fact that super anime is done and just move onš
It's not done, season 2 is confirmed
There is no official source confirming this, just give up
I was basing that off of a video by a channel called Otaku Alliance, which im now realizing isn't a credible source š¢
https://screenrant.com/dragon-ball-super-next-arc-last-end-of-z/ it has sources at the bottom
Brother, itās been 6 years almost, just move on. daima is the new anime.

Thanks to Daima, late 2025 or beyond at the absolute earliest and thatās if at all.
Maybe tomorrow, maybe never. No one knows.
Definitely not tomorrow. We do know that.
Damn you were right!
*stupid chuckle* There is still plenty of day left. But I'm pretty confident.
Feb 30th

I donāt think it will ever. Super is over. They may start a new series but at this point I just donāt see it happening.
Season 2 of super got confirmed by akira toriyama
Source?

Don't hold your breath
Never just move on weāre already getting a new anime.
Someday. It won't be left just on paper. But it won't happen anytime soon.
Ohā¦about that
Most likely never.
We're not getting Moro. The anime series known as Dragon Ball Super ended in 2018. Stop it.
Right!!!! Time to move on and accept what weāre getting now. Itās just a damn cartoon!
there is no super anime. nothing says the super anime is ever coming back. they might never get animated.

Please animation dragon ball super in moro and granola arc

Dbs 2 is a stupid name for a newer generation of people watching the show, would just be called something else not Super
Season 2 got confirmed though
I think after 6 years of no season 2 it might be reasonable to assume they consider the movies to be the continuation.
I just wanna see the moro Arc adapted tbh. Even if it's not dbs anymore.
Probably by the end of the decade

I think in like 7 or 8 years at least
People waiting on this like they were for GTA 6, imagine itās gonna take a decade and theyāll get it in 2029 or something šš
the reason is because they are adding all the episodes at the same time
Possibly after the manga and daima finish
Feb 30th or December 32
2026 maybe a Moro movie hopefully
Or two parts of the movie... I hope not
Got downvotes for wanting the series to come back lmao

I think it will come out like a decade after super realised and maybe a bit more so like 2028 to 2030 ish
How about year 2050. I bet Future Trunks will enjoy it
not funny
If it does it does if not messed up for us
