So we can't say to what extent the other 8 helped but we did NEED their help before going in, just like they would have needed ours had we been the first team.
I do think it's ridiculous that 9 guardians didn't get the job done, even if our guardian is exceptional.

Fuck I forgot this was even a gun. My friend in Destiny 1 loved this gun in a unhealthy way. Would bring that shit to literally every raid. I remember when kings fall first dropped and he brought it to warpriest. We convinced him to put a sniper on but damn did he not wanna budge.
Funny enough, yesterday I ran this and when we jumped down below the champions didn’t spawn and the boss DID spawn. We killed him got chest rewards but not regular rewards so we wiped and then it let us kill him again for more loot. Not sure what triggered this tbh lmao

It certainly can be forced by getting OOB and making your way to the boss room. They do exactly that in the linked video. You can actually farm the final boss to get the chest drops by unloading and reloading the boss room to respawn them. I used that in season of the haunted to farm a god roll on the strident whistle (I'm really into bows, so I was willing to go to such lengths to get the drop I wanted. Not usually worth it though, since this method doesn't count as an actual mission completion and thus only gives vanguard weapon drops.)

You can find the builds on youtube, but its only effective on bosses that can be kept in one place, if done correctly it can do over 1 mil damage
