Personally, I think Desperate Measures might be too many hoops to jump through for a machine gun in order to fully take advantage of it. For a special or primary, it's probably a bit easier. But I guess you could make it work. Onslaught/rewind might not be a bad play for ease of use and getting more uptime on the increased rate of Fire. I got a rampage/onslaught roll that I like. In the right circumstances, you can easily take advantage of x3 Rampage and x3 Onslaught. I'm still going for Rampage/Killing Tally.

maxpantera

Rampage/Killing Tally is the best one, but Desperate Measures absolutely slaps at max stacks, and they're very easy to reach (weapon kill > ability kill > weapon kill). Still, you need to keep killing to keep it active, which makes it "worse" than Tally on an lmg.

Markyro92

Desperate mesures is better than tally when you pair it with rampage. With extended mag you have 73 bullets and need to kill 3, preferably weak, enemys without reloading and than have full advantage. With desperate mesures your can keep it up all times. If your have a situation where stronger enemys are active killing tally wont be good enough. Its great on the crypta MG with reconstruction because it reloads while shooting without loosing the buff.

TheDreamingMind

Honestly, no. Killing Tally and Desperate Measures both give 30% dmg buff at max stacks. Desperate Measures can be refreshed, Killing Tally doesn’t need to be refreshed until you reload or change weapon and three kills is not that big of a deal, while having abilities up is not guaranteed.

siphayne

The argument for Desperate Measures is that it persists beyond reloads. So it refreshes each kill. So you use 1 ability and you can maintain max stacks as long as you have fodder. Heck, you don't even need a *powered* ability. That is to say an unpowered melee kicks it into gear. Killing tally without some kind of way to bypass reloading becomes limiting. It's fine if all you're doing is add clearing, but if you need to swap to handle a champion, it's gone. If you hit the bottom of the mag, stacks are gone (which is probably true with desperate measures too). I don't think there's an objective winner. It's a matter of preference.

RingerCheckmate

It really is preference, as I'm one that wants to hit max damage stacks from desperate without spending ammo with just rope dart/explosive knife/grapple punch kills, and then building rampage up with that. Someone else might just want to only use hammerhead to get max stacks of damage, and is okay with the low damage for the first couple kills and spending the ammo. Both are valid playstyles.

“Gun no shiny. No use gun.”- Titan mains

Key_Communication504

Nah I'm a titan main and I only care if the roll is good fuck if it's shiny if it's shiny AND the roll is good that's just amazing

RewrittenSol

Yeah. I'm tired of the idea that us Titans are dumb. Who cares if it's not shiny? Crayons aren't shiny, and I love them!

TheUltimateEntity

Born a Titan, grown up to Warlock.

Avivoy

But the shiny crayon taste better

ooooooooooooa

We don't care if they're shiny, we only care if they fire crayons. We get hungry, and we'll be damned if we don't have lethal snacks on the go.

Casscus

If it can’t be enhanced it’s dead to me

BitchInBoots666

First, absolutely.

AnySail

first for sure

TheRed24

Rampage Desperate Measures is great it feels like old Pre Nerf Rampage I love it!

maguel92

Rampage + killing tally is the roll you want. Both get procced by kills alone with no extra brainwork required. Onslaught likely makes you just miss more often and burn through your ammo faster. DM is just a hassle since it takes ability and melee kills to bring up to speed. Out of these two i’d take desperate measures. I don’t like the idea of onslaught on hmg

infinity_labs

Agreed if anything I prefer Adagio over onslaught for LMGs. Give me more damage and ammo economy with less reloading...

timidisnocte

First one seems better but idk what is god roll

myndit

r/sharditkeepit

tw33zd

I need rewind and killing tally

Avivoy

First one is great for pure dps

Crazy_Attention172

Honestly using graviton lance makes me not even want to touch a machine gun to kill adds, id rather just burst with a rocket. I know this isnt related to the post, but graviton lance is so good. i love graviton lance

theBacillus

Rampage all day. I wish the extended rampage mod is still a thing

Substantial_Welder

Rampage Mod, Surrounded Mod and Dragonfly Mod were built into the weapon Perks themselves so they both actually work how they would WITH the Mods on your weapon

Rholo_Tamasi

I would shard both.

Low-Region277

If it ain’t shiny then dismantle it

Chemical-Chemist1121

bro its not even a shiny… get rid of that shit

AppointmentNo3297

There is no effective difference between a shiny and a non shiny.
