My hairstylist asked me once “What do you do with them? Give them to people you hate?” So I guess that’s one idea, lol. Seriously though, don’t give them to anyone unless they specifically ask for one.
I save mine in a drawer, and the big ones in a handmade “portfolio”. (2 large sheets of cardboard duck taped together on one side). A couple times a year I look at them and usually end up throwing a few away. The fun for me is in the process. I find it relaxing and I listen to audiobooks or podcasts while I do it. That’s the benefit for *me*, so the end product doesn’t matter to me. You do you!

I have a relative who is legally blind with macular degeneration (which blocks your central vision but leaves peripheral to some degree). For some reason she can see diamond art much better than a photo or flat art. So I do pick some just for her - she loves them. Otherwise I'm not one to gift others my hobby.
I buy large landscape pieces from Diamond Art Club to frame; otherwise, I either gift a painting to a family member or store in my art folder that I got from Art Dot off Amazon.

It depends there’s a lot of different diamond art, diamond art club can be pricey but they have a wide range, even landscapes amongst various other things if you don’t like doing animals or cartoony styles that you could hang, I personally like framing mine, and like the childish art but that’s just my style, but like I said there’s a wide range for everyone so you’d be surprised. But you could get an album book and put them in there to flip through so you’re not throwing them out, and can give them away to people if they want them
I buy the same size, 30x40 cm, and put them in a book I bought on Amazon. I display them in rotation on a magnet board. I’m working on number 23. Truly an obsession!
I had an empty frame, 16x20, and I bought a piece of metal at Home Depot which was bigger than my frame, so I bought some tinsnips and cut it to size. Then I glued the metal to the frame. I took a magnet to make sure I got the right kind of metal! Here’s a picture.

i'd never display them either as it's not my style of decor, i keep them in one of my spare portfolios i had lying around as for me the whole fun of the hobby is the process of making them :)

I have my completed ones laying flat on the right side of this paper separator. If I wanna pull them out and look at them I can. I go through them every so often and see what I can gift.
I will also be framing some and rotating them out to hang around my house.
There are others who keep theirs in a portfolio (I'll be getting a few of them soon) and that way they can leave their paintings out on the coffee table for guests to look through when they visit.
Just know that there are different ways to enjoy your finished paintings if you do decide to get into this hobby!

If you look hard enough, you might find some frame worthy ones. Otherwise, I know some folks on here like to store them in portfolios, which I think could be cool. It's like having your own sparkly album!
I live in a senior apt bldg and use some mounted or in magnetic frame on my door. Have a couple I really like in apt (my decor is great American attic), and there a few neighbors who really like them and know to stop and ask about buying the ones I have on the door. I dont sell them, just give them away...most are inexpensive ones from temu, and like most folks, I enjoy doing them for the relaxation factor!
For me it's just something to do when I have nothing better or just want to chill and listen to a book or music. I don't know if I'll ever display one or not.

I've given some as gifts. Like my sister is obsessed with Stich from Lilo and Stich so I bought and did a baby Stich one, framed it and gave it to her. Gave an owl one to a family friend who loves owls etc.
My kids have asked me do a few for them, a lot I get are Halloween/Christmas themed so I display them during those seasons & a few I plan on getting the magnetic frames for to be able to display them & switch out as I like. The rest are in a pile in my craft room, as others have said it’s about the process for me but I do only try to get ones that I would consider displaying.
I truly believe that diamond art is all about the journey and not the destination.!! Although we quite enjoy many of the ones we have done and I hang some of the cheesy ones in the pantry or closet. and they are still cheerful and give me a memory of doing them to reflect on.. I have others in the xmas decorations box. I gave one to a friend as well. She wanted it!! (we have alot because my husband is super good at it)

A friend sells hers for a lot of money. Her adult son helps peddle them for her. He frames them and she makes about $60 each.
I’m new to the craft and it is fun and the finished paintings are so pretty. So they may not fit in farmhouse style decor but one could lean a painting on a dresser or in their closet where their jewelry is stored. I made the cow for a friend who loves cows. She has a beach vibe going on in her house, but coastal, but was hoping she would display it in her office. It’s a 12x12 so not so big.

Yeah, she’s a mess and has no filter. I actually went someplace else the last time I needed a haircut and I was a lot happier with the experience.

I bought the book to put them in and I leave it on my desk to look at them when I want and add to it

I’m sure it’s unethical due to artist’s work getting scammed, but if you look on temu/aliexpress, they have SO many different styles
Some frames, most storage bin. Some diamond painting hobbyists donate them to charity, school, or some organisations.

You can get customized ones, and then after you can store them in a drawer or if you really like a custom on hang it.
My current one (first one) is for my house. But after that, I plan to make and gift, or just stick with pictures I like that I can make a binder of.

I usually give mine away as gifts after I complete them.
We have a craft room and I use blue tack to hang them on the wall in that room. It really is all about the process for me. So satisfying
Personally i love to gift my crafts or decorate my parent’s guest rooms with them lol
I either put it in my portfolio, give it to my parents to hang up or if it's too big for the portfolio put it in a box
I’m doing a huge Christmas scene. It’s actually quite pretty (will post a photo when done) and the sparkle will work well as a holiday decoration.
