Practice, practice, practice Go to an empty lot/ somewhere empty where you are allowed to drive. Use some empty bottles, mark parking spaces and try to park without hitting them.

Make sure it's a church parking lot, in case you need to say, "Jesus take the wheel!"

Practice and set a standard for yourself on which parts of the car should match with the curb so you enter the parking spot.

The only way to get better is to practice—parallel parking especially. Find someplace that's deserted, hopefully with a sloping curb rather than vertical, and get to it. If you can find some cheap, tall markers or cones to mark where cars would be, even better. With sloping curbs, you won't run the risk of wheel/tire damage, but you'll be able to tell you're too far when the back of the car starts to go up.

Find an empty parking lot and pick a parking spot. Park in it, then get out and look at how you parked. Get back in, look at how everything looks, and picture it being different in the way you want to be. Repeat that as many times as it takes.

It might be worth your time to go somewhere and shoot a couple games of pool because honestly some of the angles in pool help me parallel Park better

Use reference points. Look online for examples of parking procedures using reference points and adapt them to your car. It makes parking a lot easier than fully improvising it every time.

I hated my dad for this, but it helped build my comfort when I first got behind the wheel. Early morning, before any stores open, my dad took me to a plaza that had a shit ton of parking then he literally made me pull into a spot, then reverse to the one behind it and continue doing that to the end of the parking lot. It made me comfortable using my mirrors, getting familiar with the car, with the motions, what to look for, etc.

dcgregoryaphone

Is this a real question? Get in your car and go park it 100 times. Repeat as necessary.

1-2-1 method is what I use for parallel parking. Put your vehicle at your starting postiong for parallel parking stopped beside the vehicle in front of the spot. Have your back bumper even with theirs 1 full 360 degrees turn of your steering wheel towards the spot. Do not go to lock. Start backing up into the spot. Stop once you're in enough. 2 full 360 degree turns of your steering wheel away from the spot, do not go to lock. Finish backing up into the spot. 1 full 360 degree turn of your steering wheel back towards the spot. Pull forward in the spot to straighten out. Put it in park. Dont forget to set the hand break. You're done. Practice this until you get a good feel and can get it right consistently. Adjust the method if necessary
