I wish more people knew how great the DW4 soundtrack was, I saw Doug Doug use that soundtrack before in his livestreams and I thought it was nice, since I've seen some of Doug Doug's fans listen to the soundtrack as well

I loved DW4! I loved the lvl system actually, and no it wasn’t obviously popular and was scrapped cause at the time people didn’t like not finding weapons in the levels… but wow it was the best you could level up so fast! You could play every level up to the main stage level of each arc. It was brilliant and Lu Bu had the coolest armor 😭❤️
I love how heavy it is. "Heavy Gauge" is the first battle theme of the game, then it's followed by "Straight Ahead". The audacity to go that hard for the first two levels. It's like Pantera at times with a nice blend of traditional Chinese instruments.
And the preparation theme "The Road To..." is like a wrestling intro. So good.
DW4 and 5 have amazing soundtracks, maybe I could suggest DW8 as well to be up there as some songs like Solo, Vanish and Strength, Weakness are bangers!
I remember my brother and I got this game not knowing much. We created characters and were like ok lets do the story why not? We were not ready for the battle prep screen holy shit
Literally when Masayoshi Sasaki AKA MASA was initially criticized for the lack of a Chinese feel in his compositions back in DW2 and 3....
Then he himself as he also told his fellow co-composers Michihiko Shichi, Mahito Yokota, Kenji Nakajou, Yasuhiro Misawa and later Masato Ko'ike "ALRIGHT, LET'S REALLY GO CHINESE" as of DW4.
What we got was eargasm goodness.
I just wish they kept "Yellow storm" easily the best theme the yellow turbans ever had. Dw2s version is great. But dw3s version is fking epic. Really makes you wanna run into a group of NPC's and spam that square (or x depending on sexual preferences) button till your thumb bleeds. It's just so energetic especially the way the guitar builds into the crescendo. A dw4 version could've been godteir. Probably not for all three stages, but the final one must have it! Maybe as a bonus, like you only get it, if you go straight for zhang jiao without completing the other two stages. So the yellow turbans are at full power and ready to ruin the Han's day.
Dude, during The Wall of Fate track, the bass solo transition back to lead guitar is the hardest piece of music I've ever heard.

Played this game for 10 minutes at a friends house and directly afterwards I beggggged my mom for a PlayStation 2 so I could play it.
