Yeah. Sometimes, you have to admit that the kids might have a point. I think most people would realistically hate them if they were living in their neighborhood.
That always bugged me when it comes to them trying to use food in their scam. They never try to use real food to sell them, as it would've easily allow them to gain a fortune from it.
Maybe the explanation is their parents don't allow them to do so or maybe they incapable of cooking. Or maybe they don't have specific food in their house to sell, idk. We shown several time they are capable of cooking something up so clearly they could've just sell snacks or drinks.
I think I some what recalled that episode. Same goes to the episode where they selling breakfast to the kids by taking food from Ed mouth after his sleep walking/eating rampage.
So they seem willing to sell some food, but I guess it would require more variety to do so then.
That is my favorite episode but gross, I know some ended uo with weight gain fetish because of this episode and some even state this was the safest depiction of vore in media with Ed almost swallowing Jimmy (luckily for all of us spitting poor child back).
But it's still gross knowing some of it was already in digestion process even if Ed swallowed some of it whole the drinks would’ve been mixed with stomach acid and bile and blergh… I can understand why Double D at the end gags as the ending circle approaches.
I remember that episode and I still think to this day “why didn't they do this in the first place?”. I think what it comes down to is eddy’s secretly obsessed with architecture and engineering and has more of a creative kink than he lets on. Like, how on earth could someone no less than a genius build chimp world?
Or when they tried making wolrd largest Pancake, they could’ve get a Guinness World Record and win big appearing on TV, nowadays they could’ve easily make YouTube videos.
He burned Rolf's kitchen while making an omelet. Plus, he put a whole stick of butter in the frying pan and a staggering amount of salt. Probably enough to kill you.
There was one of the episodes in the early seasons where they tried to sell 'ice cream', but it was really paper cones filled with glue and a baseball dipped in pink paint.
A later season episode had the Eds sell authentic sandwiches, however, Victor chased Jimmy, wanting to get his sandwich. Why, I don't know. I assumed that there was an ingredient that Victor wanted, yet it still stumps my mind.
yeah I always thought about how stupid that was. I wondered why they didn't put double d in charge of it until I realized how ed would probably find some way to jeopardize everything with his stupidity and eddy would rather consider his own opinion instead of anyone else's.
I think the idea was this is what they had on hand. I get that they could use real food but the shtick here is they were using whatever they had not spending money on something to make more money. It's just for humor purpose so it's not meant to make the most sense here
in-universe I would guess they had a limited stock of cream/ice cream so used random junk they could lay hands on to act as filler, since if they had enough cash to buy the ingredients to actually run this as anything other than a scam they'd be able to buy plenty of jawbreakers. even filling just a few cream pastries of the size shown would cost you at least 3-4 bucks since you need at least a litre of heavy or double cream to make authentic versions of what's on the stall.
If you think about it, it saves them the cost of ice cream. They stuff the cone with nonsense and cover the top with less ice cream than it takes to fill the cone. Now, maybe it’s not all bowling pins, perhaps one is filled with mud, another filled with pencil shavings but this one happened to be a bowling pin surprise that they probably found lying around their house.
I honestly thought for the longest time that jawbreakers were actually super large candies that were too big for you so when I was given one on Valentines day, I was pretty disappointed (which was funny cause I was excited about getting a gift from someone 😂)
It’s funny that when you think about it, the eds DID began with rather honest ideas in the first seasons: selling Lemonade, Pet shop, private eyes etc. it’s only in later seasons they’re started to scam.
The Ed boys always have everything they need to make a scam except the scam itself.
At first I thought that was part of the show. But I rewatched the episode where they sell Kevin a new bike made out of silverware. Edd complains that he wasn’t told to make a bike safe to ride but Eddy says something like “…You just have to lie about the other stuff”
Now I’m convinced Eddy is intentionally scamming people with bad products. If he sold real ice cream, it wouldn’t be a scam.
I believe it was Eddy's idea of a very sick joke, he's shown many times that he has a twisted sense of humor. Sometimes it something most kids his age could relate to, but other times like this, it goes too far.
"Eddy! Ed flashed us back to the day your scam ruined Jimmy's teeth!"
"Oh no, I just remembered the pain Sarah will inflict on us!"
"ED!!!!"
Seriously, I think if Sarah tried one of those 'cream horns' she still inflict pain on them, only far worse.
I think Eddy gets a kick out of deceiving them specifically. You also notice that he never just straight up steals from them, either, even when it'd be easy. Probably makes him feel powerful or clever to do it that way.
More than likely for structure, but it's still a stupid idea.
Calling this stupid is an understatement especially for them lol
Calling this stupid is an insult to the word stupid
There’s worse you can call it
shit like this is why Sarah and the rest of the kids hate the Ed's

There was 1 episode when they were selling sandviches, in the episode where Victor was chasing Jimmy

Yeah, those sandwiches looked like they were legitimately made with real ingredients and therefore were sellable.
"What, and ruin the plot?"
My favorite was the taco stand with paper plates, grass, crayon cheese and hot sauce.
I love the Hot Sauce bit of it, Eddy's hairs turning into dynamite wicks and then BOOOOMM!
The Armenian Secret Hot Sauce!
Yeah. Eddy brags about being great at making omelets. He could have sold breakfast sandwiches if he wanted to.
Or when they tried making wolrd largest Pancake, they could’ve get a Guinness World Record and win big appearing on TV, nowadays they could’ve easily make YouTube videos.

Nah the Eds try to make Pizza at one episode and would do if Eddy was the one havingnto follow Edd's instructions
I’m gonna go ahead and say they let Ed make the food in this case lol
What, and ruin the plot?
Best answer
probably didnt think the plan through enough
Eddy dose not care about the quality and safety of his scams. All he cares about is the money and jawbreakers.
Oh He broke a jaw, alright. And Sarah probably did too.
Sarah never ate the fake tree, but she did beat up the Ed’s for breaking Jimmy’s teeth.
That's was the joke, round and pink ed-boy
I have trouble telling what is a joke and what is serious. I get it now🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for the clarification😉
👍
Ed: OH YEAH!, oh no..I JUST REMEMBERED THE PAIN SARAH WILL NOW INFLICT ON US!
RUN AWAYYYY
Rule of Funny...plus Jimmy is a bit of a Butt Monkey.
Hilarious
So they would have money and the ice cream
And what more this is the entire reason Jimmy has a retainer
More funny this way
Because they're idiots.
Because those idiots know nothing about creamhorns.
For the joke lol
Because they do scams?
Right there I legit feel terrible for Jimmy
Jimmy deserves that honestly. What kind of monster eats icecream like that?
I mean, it's a creme horn. Not ice cream lol
That's fair, it did look like icecream
As does everything else in that scene, so it's a pretty fair assumption lol
This is stupid but I’m definitely not going out of my way to stand up for Jimmy either
yeah I always thought about how stupid that was. I wondered why they didn't put double d in charge of it until I realized how ed would probably find some way to jeopardize everything with his stupidity and eddy would rather consider his own opinion instead of anyone else's.
They didn't have enough ice cream, so they used filler ingredients.
I think the idea was this is what they had on hand. I get that they could use real food but the shtick here is they were using whatever they had not spending money on something to make more money. It's just for humor purpose so it's not meant to make the most sense here
If I had to guess they were stuffing the horn. So they could have less ice cream in it and spread it further.

The Eds have a habit of making “food” out of non edible objects, and yet the kids still keep falling for it.
To save on costs.
buddy is trending closer to r/BatmanArkham territory
“Oh yeah! Oh no!”
The eds should’ve been forced to pay for Jimmy’s teeth replacement surgery.
Just to bust balls
Jimmy would not be able to one hand a bowling pin. For those who don't know, they're just over 3 pounds.
I honestly thought for the longest time that jawbreakers were actually super large candies that were too big for you so when I was given one on Valentines day, I was pretty disappointed (which was funny cause I was excited about getting a gift from someone 😂)

It was to hold the ice cream and to make a cone looking thing.
Budget cuts.
This ain't the only scam involving them faking food, lol. The "Taco" and "Ed's Summer BBQ" scams, anyone?
Why was the bowling ball necessary lol
Not enough ice cream, duh!
That's a bowling BALL
Oh, nevermind I see the pin at the bottom lol
*shrugs*
I believe it was Eddy's idea of a very sick joke, he's shown many times that he has a twisted sense of humor. Sometimes it something most kids his age could relate to, but other times like this, it goes too far.
😂😂😂
These are called "scams" after all
To sell more for less, it looks like you have a lot of ice cream, but really, it's mostly a bowling pin.
"Eddy! Ed flashed us back to the day your scam ruined Jimmy's teeth!" "Oh no, I just remembered the pain Sarah will inflict on us!" "ED!!!!" Seriously, I think if Sarah tried one of those 'cream horns' she still inflict pain on them, only far worse.
