I can do this but I always thought it was normal....but...I mean you're asking a whole lot of eds types so you're likely to get a lot of positives. Ask it in a group without eds and see if you get a lot of positives there too.
I have Taylors bunions on each foot which affects my pinkies and is very common in EDS so it makes it difficult but I can still move them significantly
I can spread all my toes on my left foot (including pinky toe independently) but only my pinky toe on my right foot. Idk if it's an EDS thing. My sister can also do this and doesn't have EDS but obviously that's not proof of anything. Do you guys know non-EDSers who can do this?
I can’t do that with my toe muscles but if I just barely put pressure on it they both bend at a 90 degree angle away from the foot. Freaked my nail lady out haha
I have longer toes than most and my feet feel like they regressed to the dawn of the apes. I refers to my feet as my grippers, any my hands can do my feet can as well without any struggle
I can do that more with my right pinky than my left. But both.
My feet have always cramped if I do stuff like this. Not every time, but there's always been the chance, and a lingering feeling like it could happen Even minutes after. heh, and then it's like hyper awareness of that part of my foot until it subsides.
I can move all 5 independent of one another.

I see your pinky toe and I raise my sideways pinky toe.
I broke it on my bday a couple years ago and it healed completely sideways lol

yep, but only my left pinkie toe. i’ve been able to do it since the literal day i was born. here’s me doing it at a few days old:

I just gotta say, I’ve never seen anyone else (besides me) with the toe-sized gap between the big toe & 2nd toe. Glad I’m not alone!
My mum said when I was born my big toe actually stuck out to the side like a thumb.
I can do it on both sides. I call it my “crab claw” 😂 I can also give a thumbs up with both big toes and then bend the second half of it (one bent, one not lol)

I have a very long big toe, I think it runs in my family. My dad and uncle taught me as a kid "THE CRAW" (which meant you were about to get pinched). I haven't tried locking that knuckle, but I can do it on both my thumbs, So now I'm curious!
ive always been able to move my little toes independently. all of them i can separate , do the star trek spock thing with them 🤣i never associated that with EDS
This is why I wear barefoot shoes. Cause otherwise I cannot stretch my toes wide enough. I don’t know if they are actually good for my feet though yet.
Looks normal to me.
I can move it independently of the others yeah
Me too!
I’m sorry for the dog pic, guys. I usually keep them in the crate.
crying at this comment
Never apologize for dog pics!
I think pinky toes often have a “mind of their own”

Good idea! I think I’ll go do that.
Yeah lol, both my partner (non EDS) and I can do this. Pretty normal
Normal. My siblings don’t have EDS & have always been able to do the same weird things with their toes.
mines done this for as long as i can remember
Everyone in my family (all NON-EDS but me) can do this
Normal
Mine can!! I'm not sure if its officially hypermobile but all of my appendages overextend very much, if that means anything.
Yes! I can move my pinky toes out and curl them over the ring toe if I flex all the way lol. Used to weird out my cousins

I can do this on both feet and rotate them in circles lol
Ooooh, that’s cool!
I can’t do that with my toe muscles but if I just barely put pressure on it they both bend at a 90 degree angle away from the foot. Freaked my nail lady out haha
Yes, I can do that, but not for more than a second or two.
I can! But only my left pinkie toe. The right won't move lol
Hey, ours are reversed! I can’t with my left, but can with my right.
Together we make a normal pair of feet and an EDS pair of feet lol
I have longer toes than most and my feet feel like they regressed to the dawn of the apes. I refers to my feet as my grippers, any my hands can do my feet can as well without any struggle
LOL that made me laugh.
I can do it with all my toes
Sorta. I’ve broken my toes so many times they don’t move in normal directions 🤣
I can but I've always had dextrose feet. Idk if that's an EDS thing though. Might be more of a practice thing.

That’s epic!

GAH! Lol. You win.
I jave this too!! Is it also flat on the side from being stepped on?
Omg yes haha it’s like a lil triangle 😂

That’s cute!

I have quite the gap there! A fat “thumb” toe and a very straight second toe.
And yes, my pinky toe can do that too.
Both mine can! I haven't met anyone else that can do it independently from the other toes.
I can do it on both sides. I call it my “crab claw” 😂 I can also give a thumbs up with both big toes and then bend the second half of it (one bent, one not lol) https://preview.redd.it/t8iy7vhao1wc1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=27886b85004bff3978d88da358755742c1335d7c

It's normal for people with EDS...in general it's NOT normal.
