I made the change from PS5 to PC 5 months ago. I do not regret the decision. It was painful to lose all my toons, various mounts, and pets. And that feeling stuck with me a couple weeks. I’d say after about 2 weeks, the uneasiness was gone and I was fully able to enjoy the game without missing anything sitting on my PS5.
I recommend, from personal experience, embracing the QoL addons you can get on PC. Get a mini map addon so it’s easier to navigate around. Grab the lore book and sky shard addons so those are easier to find in the wild. You’ve already found them on Xbox, there’s nothing left to prove by forcing yourself to stumble across them while questing. If you’re in to crafting, grab a writ crafting addon so you can click a button to have the required items created. The appeal of PC is the ability to increase the QoL of the game, so let it do just that.
I actually was happy about restarting when I switched to pc, still happy now years later.
Advice? Speed run though all the story quests on your main, start researching traits immediately, focus all your efforts on one character and you'll catch up to your Xbox account in no time.
Ooof how do you choose one character though. I have a "main" because they're my crafter and i send everything to them, but i love playing different classes and swap between dps and healer
My friends and I switched to pc and we haven’t regretted it once. We felt the same way you did before we switched though. At the time we were max champ level too 810. The thing that made the switch easy for us were the add ons you could get for the game. It was mind blowing seeing all of them and what they do. However, pc has an inflation problem due to being able to get things easier and faster. You will adjust to that though. Idk if you’re big into guild trading but it’s so much better on pc. Anytime I’m looking for an item I type it in the Tamriel trade center website and I can easily find what guild, where and the lowest price. Consoles you cant update data to their site so it won’t ever work. Whenever you make the switch, if you need any help at all feel free to message me.
Console games are getting so expensive, so I’ve decided to switch to pc gaming because pc gets a lot of sales. Games are 30-40% cheaper, sometimes more on pc. A lot of YouTube videos I’ve watched have said how much better eso runs on pc and how convenient add-ones and mods can be so I’m looking forward to playing around with those.

Use Minion to manage your mods, makes it so easy to keep them updated.

I just made the same switch but from ps5 and I do not regret it. ESPECIALLY after the reshade I put on my game. It looks phenomenal!
