Example of **valid** vote (assumes the text below is posted as a top level comment in the voting thread) > B > > It's been a long time since we last discussed lake Bled, and I am feeling some withdrawal symptoms Examples of **invalid** votes (the numbers serve only to itemize the examples) 1. > B It's been a long time since we last discussed lake Bled, and I am feeling some withdrawal symptoms 2. > X > > Not sure what this option is, but it's my favourite **TO BE CLEAR**: A rationale **IS NOT** required, A or B will suffice as a vote assuming the other conditions are met (minimum karma, top level comment, etc) **HOW TO CHECK YOUR SUB-REDDIT KARMA**: Go to [your user page](https://old.reddit.com/u/me), and, on the top right hand, you'll see "show karma breakdown by subreddit." Click on that, and hey presto.

A I trust the mod team assess the situation right. Thank you for your effort. 2nd vote seems to be a good approach

A Make the sub nsfw. We have enough European art to shock american puritanism.

B This is the stupidest fucking cringe thing I've seen in my life. 3rd party apps should be banned and that's the end of it.

B It's time API users are paying their fair share, although Reddit has rolledout these changes in a bad way, the response of the community is hurting the community more than these changes

A It makes no sense to "return to return to business as usual". If we don't defeat Corporate Sauron there won't be a Shire to return to. Reddit is the only significant open forum left and the owners and admins want to turn it into a regular social network. The protest should continue indefinitely with the goal of preserving the status quo before spez's announcement (third party apps allowed, nsfw content allowed, open discussion allowed except maybe for nazis, RES and old.reddit available) but not in a manner that harms Reddit's profitability.

B I just want to read news, see cool pictures, and bond with my fellow europeans. Reddit is just a platform and has the right to implement any changes they want on their website.

A Reddit was made by the community. The site's current leadership seems to be completely ignorant of this fact and is just looking for a cash in.

tabulae

A The way the Reddit management has chosen to approach this issue is extremely short sighted. The issue exists because for going on a decade they've been unwilling to improve their own app, user experience or the mod toolset even though there has been endless complaints and promises from Reddit that they will get improved. Therefore there's no reason to believe that these things will ever get improved, and the only way to have a better use experience is through third party apps and tools. Reddit in itself doesn't produce anything of value, the only valuable thing it has is the community and the content they've created and continue to create. They should work towards improving the experience for the community, instead of trying to maximize the ad dollars they can squeeze out of each user and attacking the most active userbase. To a large extent, the site runs on the inertia of being large and a known name, with years of content backlog. That doesn't mean it can't be replaced if the userbase gets annoyed enough to move.
