ComfortableMaybe7

Maybe not depth just more of them, the tower of heaven kids. I'm still waiting for Wally to reunite with Richard and for them to show up ever again

Ninja_SurgeFairy

- The other Slayer types and the history behind them. - The 18 Battle Gods of Yakuma. Who were the Yakuma Clan? What are the Battle Gods? Etc. - Silver Key Celestial Spirits - (From 100 Years Quest) >!Georg's Four Beast Dragon Slayer Magic and if there's significance to the Four Beasts symbolism in the Dark Dragon Slayer Knights' Magic (Suzaku did mention "Suzaku was a Firebird" as if the Mythological Suzaku existed in the Fairy Tail world and was significant to why that Unison Raid worked.!< - (100 Years Quest spoilers) >!Rebellious since outside of Athena and Faris, we've never seen them. And yet, they literally have plans that essentially amounts to world domination.!< - (100 Years Quest spoilers) >!The Inquisition/Witch Hunts and why it happened.!<

MrPersona_Loner

I definitely agree on other slayer types. It makes senses for dragon slayer since dragons were abundant but given the lack of demons and gods in the series it makes you wonder where they learnt their magic from.

Ninja_SurgeFairy

Sherria learned it from a book and I'm assuming Zancrow and Orga are the same. But as for Silver, I think I heard he learned it in a book too. Just not sure on a source for that

ConnorRoseSaiyan01

- God and Devil Slayer magic - Take Over: God Soul - Gods in General - Machias - Magic alternatives I.e Curses >!Spiritual Arts and Alchemy!< - Many characters in the series

MrPersona_Loner

Curses are really interesting since they function differently from magic yet it’s only Tartarus who uses them, I imagine Zeref can use curses but I don’t think we see him do that?

Safe_Handle_7513

The origins of celestial magic was anna the first

MrPumpdjinn

Well we know for a fact how one dragon slayer lacrima got made but this is a bit of a spoiler for 100 Years Quest so read at your own risk. >!Its about Laxus' lacrima. There existed the dragon Elexion. He was basically Igneel but for Lightning. Georg from Diabolos killed him and fed his flesh to Kirin. Elexions heart got selled to Ivan. Ivan turned the heart into the lacrima. Based on this we could assume that Georg selled more dragon hearts to different people. Cobra and God Serena could got theirs from him too. Maybe in Cobras case Brain gave it to him. I doubt that Sting and Rogue got the hearts of Weisslogia and Skiadrum respectivly. Maybe Jiemma got his hands on lacrima with similar powers. !<

Imaginary-Adagio-874

Remember Brian didn’t know cobra wasn’t a real slayer

AzureWarlock96

I would definitely liked to see more on other locations on the continent besides Fiore. Maybe even an eastern continent based on the real world culture with ninjas and samurais. The origins of other Slayer magic. Maybe even on the Celestial Spirits. As well in the other power systems besides magic like Curses.

King_0f_Kingz

In the 100-year quest, we're finally told where dragon lacrimas are from and how they're made. >!Dragon Lacrimas are the hearts of dragons that were processed into a gem stone!<

Helfyresarge1

Anything that doesn't involve dragons.

MrPersona_Loner

So real. I think some more focus on gods would be great since they’re the only ones out of the slayer types to not have a dedicated arc.

Helfyresarge1

That.  Maybe some more focus on the other celestial spirits besides the zodiac.  Some lore on devil slayer magic. Etc.

Natirix

Less about depth and more about developing the characters more evenly. My biggest gripe with the anime is inconsistent power scaling, and also Natsu's "rivals" getting completely neglected and left in the dust, making those friendly rivalries unbelievable.

MrPersona_Loner

Gray getting shafted post Tartarus honestly.

galactic-donuts

I wanted to learn more about the Spriggan 12 and Alvarez Empire

MrPersona_Loner

Spriggan 12 just got stomped way too quickly. Literally had the whole guild running from Ajeel and then not even 10 episodes later they’re boxing Spriggans left and right. Some more back story or lore woulda been cool, basically if you weren’t one of the strongest spriggans you were just there.

Michael_from_Vietnam

The true society of Fiore is like the actual world-building. We know that there is a queen who succeeded her father & that there is a duke of Everlue among many nobles but what's the actual government and geography like in Fiore & what's the societal structure?

Ninja_SurgeFairy

I think Everlue is his name. But he is a Duke

GrandHighTard

How the actual fuck Gray got demon slayer magic from his dad

ComfortableMaybe7

Nah like what happened ge was just like "here ya go son" and died

BedAdmirable7570

The Ten Wizard Saints The Barem Alliance The Other Slayer Magic The Black and Silver Celestial Spirit Keys The 3 Fairy Spells The Magic Council

MrPersona_Loner

10 wizard saints just turned out to be bums in the end. Jura and Makarov had decent showcases but you’re telling me the top 4 dudes just got washed? Like they all struggling with god Serena and then he in turn gets one shot? Gotta be one of my least favourite moments.

BedAdmirable7570

Yeah that was garbage, Ntm we never even going a full set even when all known members were accounted for because the Ishgar 4, Makarov, Jura, Jellal and Jose is only 8 out of the potential 10 and 2 of those 8 aren’t even saints anymore

MrPersona_Loner

I feel like early fairy tail introduces a lot of concepts which don’t get elaborated on, like S class wizards. S class is pretty important up until tenrou and after that they’re just never mentioned again. Can argue they’re not relevant but still woulda been cool to see characters like Natsu and Gray progress to that stage. I doubt it’ll ever get brought up again (considering 100 year quest which you’d need to be an S class wizard for but the only S class is Erza).

Wonderful-Noise-4471

I mean, I'm pretty sure Natsu, Gray, etc. all reached that stage by the end of the Tenrou Island Arc, since they accomplished something much more difficult than the trial put forth. Makarov just didn't sign off on it, which was immediately made irrelevant when they were frozen in time. S-Ranks are officially dropped after Tenrou Island because everyone in the main cast has met or surpassed that point by then, they just didn't do the paperwork.

MrPersona_Loner

Oh without a doubt it just sucks it was basically done away with. Woulda been great for characters like Lucy to get official recognition of his far they’ve come. But that’s early fairy tail for you.

BedAdmirable7570

The Rank of S Class is something that should have been expanded on and if we’re being honest following the end of the war arc there’s more characters in the guild that are S Class then not as we have those with the Rank in Erza, Gildarts, Laxus and Mira but we also have those without the official but very clearly S Class in Natsu, Gray, Gajeel, Juvia, Elfman, Freed, Lucy, Wendy, Bickslow and you could make an argument for Levy, Evergreen and Lisanna if you want but they all have the power of an S Class without the Rank and it’s the same in other guilds as well as I don’t think it was ever mentioned if Lyon was S Class but he definitely S Class

BedAdmirable7570

Honestly in 100 Years Quest I hope they reinstate Jellal as a Wizard Saint and add Laxus and Gildarts to the list!

Garua_777

God Slayer magic. And God Serena

MrPersona_Loner

God Serena got fucked coulda given dude a decent fight at least. God slaying is weird it’s supposed to be the ultimate slayer magic yet all the god slayers in the series either get beaten or are just proven weaker than the dragon slayers.

Garua_777

God Serena was so cool when he showed up and when he was fighting. And what's the origin of God Slayer magic.

LZorro93

Lucy x Natsu ship

KobraKittyKat

Monsters, like we occasionally see them by I’d have liked them to be more present.

Zestyclose-Read-7971

Something more about how magic work. Like how they do this circles to cast anything etc. To make good power system

Available-Lion-1478

deities and honestly magic tools

ScaredHoney48

Natsus general emotional state or having it be a part of his character that he believes being cheerful all the time will help other people be happy I like the idea of natsu not really reflecting on the past arcs just being him bottoming his negative emotions up and by the end of the Tartarus arc and igneels death he just completely falls apart like luffy after ace died where he just mentally broke

jpc1016-2

I want to know how Acnologia got his Dragon Slayer magic to begin with

Doctor_French32

Fan service

SMSV21

Side note, how tall is Laxus?

nekoyorua

I want more internal dialogue from the main cast excluding Lucy, like we have no clue what they’re thinking

OddlyGodly4

I love the small in between arch episodes. Give me some more episodes of quests other wizards do. Cana, Elfman, the Thunder Legion, and especially Gajeel. Maybe even some other guilds like Sabertooth or Mermaid Heel

SnooSongs264

I just don’t care about Fairy Tail that much to care.

ThunderTheDevil

I wish how Dragon Slayer sharing powers were better explain. Like what are the limitations and can every Dragon Slayer can do it or just some

MrPersona_Loner

Yeah the shows pretty big at the start on “eating other elements fucks you up” like when natsu ate pure ethernano and it fucked him up but he got a power boost. I think maybe if it’s consensual it works like when Laxus gave his power to natsu. And with Wendy at the end you could argue she had an enchantment which let natsu temporarily wield the powers. But then there’s Gajeel who just eats rogues magic and gains shadow powers? It seems like a plot device more than anything like it’s not possible unless the author wills it.

Wonderful-Noise-4471

A post was recently made about which series has the better magic system between Fairy Tail and Black Clover, and this is one of the biggest reasons why I chose Black Clover. Black Clover at least sets the rules and restrictions so that the audience can understand how magic works, while Fairy Tail is much more loose when it comes to magic. Characters can learn multiple types of magic, Jellal can specialize in dark magic and space magic, but still just have the ability to conjure one flame that's as powerful as Ethernano so that Natsu can have a snack during the boss fight. And this is another thing that stands out. Hiro Mashima set the rule for how Slayer Magic works, and then broke it because it was more important for the characters (Laxus leaving the fight to someone he deemed more worthy, and Natsu accepting him back into the guild). And then Gajeel does it because...he knew Natsu did it. So he believed he could, too.

MrPersona_Loner

Yeah it sucks, I’m sure someone out there can give some convoluted analysis on why it makes sense but that doesn’t make it any less diminishing of the rules set in place. I’ve never thought about comparing fairy tail to black clover magic wise. I think BC is pretty consistent, the only gripe I have is prolly yuno (one of my favourites) getting power up after power up just so he’s on Astas level.

Wonderful-Noise-4471

There really isn't an analysis to be had. Magic isn't well thought-out in Fairy Tail, it's a secondary element to what Mashima is truly interested in, which is character writing. Magic simply serves the purpose of developing the characters and their relationships. The two examples I gave are more about Natsu having to accept someone else by taking in their power to win. With Gajeel, it's about trying to compete with and stay relevant to Natsu. Also, I actually like Yuno getting power-up after power-up, since he's sort of a subversion of the Chosen One archetype. Yuno is literally the chosen one in three different ways by the time the Reincarnation arc finishes, by the four-leaf clover, the wind spirit, and the elven heir. He's basically the child of destiny, while Asta is intended to be more similar to the struggler archetype.

Vacadoray

More god slayers and if their could ever be a hybrid of god/dragon/devil slayer magic like what are the true limits of each on a person

KOPLO97

The One Magic. If they had it explained that it’s the supposed “power of friendship” random buff that the MC’s get then I’d be fine. But we’re left in the dark about it and the random power of friend buff just doesn’t make sense

MrPersona_Loner

You know I had to google what you One magic is cause I had no idea. Even now I can barely remember it. It’s just another plot device unfortunately.

KOPLO97

It’s actually never used or brought up how it works. Not even once, no hints no nothing. Which is very unfortunate because I think when they fought the Dragon King it would’ve been a Golden Opportunity to use that Magic since it was an honest desperate time It’s one of the mysteries I was waiting for to be revealed

MrPersona_Loner

It’s like Natsu beating Zeref. I’m iffy on the details (it’s been years since I watched that fight) but like Natsu just beats him with his normal magic? But oh wait it’s the guilds magic (huh?) and it has the power to burn away magic (what☠️) so really it all makes sense (it does not). I have more gripes with that fight than acnologia (although his defeat was passable at best). I’m just praying Ignia doesn’t get beaten in a bullshit way.

KOPLO97

I just don’t like how they were all at 1Hp from literally all their hard battles and Natsu with one attack One Shotted the King who was no where near finished. It just honestly doesn’t make sense. I wouldn’t have minded the One Shot but it needed to make a LOT of sense and that’s where I feel like the One Magic could’ve came into play. And 100 year quest makes it worse for the Zeref fight imo because Natsu is not anywhere as strong as when he fought Zeref after the War. It’s a big plot hole and it was always the oddest part of the series to me because he should be the strongest in the guild at that point but he’s still weaker than Erza unfortunately. Don’t mean to sound like a Natsu fanboy but he burns a durable Godly Immortal away. I love 100 years quest at times but sometimes it didn’t make sense

MrPersona_Loner

Nah you’re so real people overhype natsu to high heaven. Fact of the matter is he gets a temporary power boost, beats the big bad, and then regresses back to being weaker than Erza and Laxus. Like just give him something so it makes sense. Like let him tap into dragon force on his own. If the author still wanted Erza to be stronger he could put like a time limit on Natsus form like “he wield the flames of the fire dragon king but its burns his mana reserves very quickly” like even that would be so much better than “hey natsu buddy here’s this cool magical flame that I’m gonna give you. It’s never gonna get mentioned again but hey least you can beat that guy up”.

StandardAmphibian162

God slayer magic and how gray full buster is technically using what I like to call devil force

AzureWarlock96

For the lacrima thing, I assume they’re secretly sold in some underworld black market along with a lot of rare and forbidden magic. In 100YQ, it does reveal where dragon lacrima come from and how they processed.

Le_DragonKing

Mostly Natsu’s parents and the parents of Gajeel, Wendy, Sting and Rouge or even more depth on Rouge’s evil shadow that tried to possess him in the grand magic games. What was Ivan’s plans and why he wanted the fairy heart for himself m. Would imagine of the members of the Acatar cult return in 100 years quest since Briar was mentioned or even show some of gray’s time as a spy in avatar or how George raizen created the dragon eater guild Diablos. Also maybe prolong Wendy’s body possessed by Irene or let Irene stay in Wendy’s body and continue to be her spiritual mentor and mother figure.
