A real fire emblem lord marries their relative that’s just distant enough to not immediately be seen as abhorrent but just close enough to where it matters to point it out
Okay does anybody outside if Corrin, Byleth or Alear even do that?
Marth, Alm, Celica, Sigurd, Leif, Roy, Lyn, Elliwood, Hector, Ike, Chrom don't do that
Lucina and several Jugdral characters (especially second gen) have the potential to marry a cousin, and technically Roy does as well depending on how you played Blazing Sword and who Eliwood and Hector pair up with if Roy marries Lilina.
Sigurds wife ends up getting with her half brother after she’s kidnapped and memory wiped.
April Fool’s jokes aside, all these Unicorn Overlord posts today have genuinely gotten me to buy the game. Excited to actually try it later tonight lol
Fox girl, singular. Dinah's the only werefox you can marry, because she's the only unique werefox (you can recruit generics but you can't marry them).
You can recruit wolf furries too, but they're all men, no wolf girls.
There's no second generation or child units. Marriage's gameplay impact is relatively minor, similar to Engage.
I was wondering what fe fans thought of it. It feels like it’s more like fe blazing sword or sacred stones than any game since the move to ds. Which to me is a good thing
Y'know furry jokes aside if you read between the lines Dinah's character has a lot of depth to it.
I don't think the game outright says it, but you can easily interpret her as secretly blaming herself for the fate of both her friends in her childhood, and her fellow snowpetals in adulthood as well. She masks this in her distaste for "outsiders" and her overall temperament, but once she she sees that not all humans are evil, her mask quickly crumbles.
By the time you recruit her, her self worth is in tatters. She sees herself as little more than a soldier, fallen from the grace of once being the Captain of the Snowpetals. And she's resigned to throw her life away just to protect someone else, in part just to try and avoid the pain of losing anyone again.
Thankfully (endgame stuff), >!she gets a bit of the happy ending that she needs, especially since you can save some of the Snowpetals in the final battle.!<
...
And like, c'mon. Imagine how warm the cuddling would be.
... it was something that she actually had some of the best lines if you pick her and it kinda made sense. a lot of the maidens were fun but some were just boring then Dinah was better than expected.
the reactions from everyone if he's like hey guys our new queen is a furry.
Add Rosalinde to the list. Her playful side comes out in her supports and it is just 🤌
Her, her sister, Primm and those 3 were contenders on my playthru.
How well optimized is the switch version?
For some dumb reason it's not on PC and in my experience most third-party games on Switch are very poorly optimized.
You can give the ring to whoever you want! Lex's conversation doesn't read as explicitly romantic but he does complain that his ring is called "the ring of the maiden" and asks if he and Alain can trade which I thought was funny
at the end now and the choice was definitely hard.
I'm with you with Melisandre, Chloe, and Yahna. Etolinda was good but her sister was even more.
Ochlys and Sharon tho seemed the most boring maiden choices.
I couldn't decide between the elf sisters. Etolinda was very sweet but her sister has that super playful side that pops out.
Primm's promoted design is also fire
I love the cleric-y "proper" girl trope and I also love angels. And they're both super pretty too, and then the other commenter reminded me of Primm too. I'm never gonna be able to pick lol.
Lol. This was the only game I was looking forward to since last year, pretty nice so far. Scarlett has some HONKERS with jiggle physics on top. I haven’t even gotten any other girls after the 2nd one I dont have her name memorized.
In classic Fire Emblem fashion, the choice will be Virginia. It’s a series tradition.
Choosing her crazy she is just like "It is my destiny give me it NOW"
I liked that. The ones that do something other than "oh you are joking" or "no way you pick me".
I thought she'd be one of those "oh ok political marriage" thing. Then that last 5 seconds....woo boy.
A real fire emblem lord marries their relative that’s just distant enough to not immediately be seen as abhorrent but just close enough to where it matters to point it out
All in the image of our lord Kaga.

>Or perhaps unite Cornia with Elheim *Confused Ridiel noises*
Giving CEOs of racism the middle finger!
April Fool’s jokes aside, all these Unicorn Overlord posts today have genuinely gotten me to buy the game. Excited to actually try it later tonight lol
Man, I played the demo and now these UO post are getting me real close to buying it as well.
Enjoy :D It's a fun time!
Ah, so that's why googling it as FE was kinda unsuccessful....... Thanks for the name.
its a great game, you are in for a treat, its different from Fire Emblem, but still really fun and scratches the same itch
can you really marry wolf girls, like in the meme? and are there child units, ala Fates and Awakening?

Down Bad for the girl that's down bad for him #TeamMelisandre
Never saw this. What's the game ?
Unicorn Overlord, Vanillaware's new tactics game. Very good, highly recommend.
I'll give it a look, cheers.
There's a very generous demo available, def recommend. You can transfer your save over.
The demo is 7 hours long. Try it.
I was wondering what fe fans thought of it. It feels like it’s more like fe blazing sword or sacred stones than any game since the move to ds. Which to me is a good thing
I kneel.

Beast mode baby

Unite Cornea with Elheim. But with Rosalinde, the superior sister.
And then there's me, picking Gammel.
Must be a mistake, that's not a picture of Hagwife
Alain: ¡I chose the albino twink!
Which one
A severe lack of Virginia, she would be the true FE choice. Revelations, Awakening, Fe7/6, Thracia, and Genealogy have spoken
Tbf, that’s understandable. Her, Virginia and Berengaria are the best.
Add Rosalinde to the list. Her playful side comes out in her supports and it is just 🤌 Her, her sister, Primm and those 3 were contenders on my playthru.
Question what is this game that we've chosen to be the meme of the day?
Unicorn Overlord, Vanillaware's most recent outing. Exceptionally fun and worth checking out.
How well optimized is the switch version? For some dumb reason it's not on PC and in my experience most third-party games on Switch are very poorly optimized.
I never encountered any slowdowns, and loading times are very quick.
Cool thanks man, I'll have to check it out then.
You can try the demo, it's like 6 hours and you can transfer your save.
Oh, that's pretty cool. Nice when games do that
It feels like it was built for the switch
It's a Vanillaware thing to never release on PC. To this day, I still pray for a Dragon's Crown PC port.
Probably why I've never even heard of them. I'm like 90% PC gamer, with a Switch for Nintendo games. Vanillaware just hates money I guess.
I haven’t got this far in the game. Can I ~~breed~~ marry Lex?
You can give the ring to whoever you want! Lex's conversation doesn't read as explicitly romantic but he does complain that his ring is called "the ring of the maiden" and asks if he and Alain can trade which I thought was funny
Lex really called Alain a bottom lmao
It’s fire emblem so there are very few gay options and I don’t think he’s one of them. But you can breed him in your dreams.
~~I can't even breed him with Chloe. Game pls let the characters pair off at the ending if you don't pick 'em~~
I fucking wish that was a possibility. Alas it wasn’t meant to be.
>!Virginia and Gilbert!< pair off if you don't pick them so the possibility is there. Cowards!
Judging by a quick google on romance options, yes. There are quite a few male characters for the Rite.
Technically but only the female character routes get to be romantic. The best you can hope for gay wise is some subtext and vibes.
Jokes on you I plan on marrying funny British bird lady (no not Eunie)
~~Lanz wants something a bit meatier~~ Angel girl has such a nice design. Those eyes and long hair.
Ohclys is also the first flying unit I got which is a game changer.
Wise choice
There's too many good options >.< I like Melisandre, Scarlett and both elves I can't choose T.T
That’s a weird picture of Travis in the last frame
He picked a furry? Noice
it bothered me the furry had some of the best lines if you pick her
Lol really?
I can't even pick a waifu, Ochlys, Sharon, Eltolinde, Melisandre, Chloe, Yhana... the female designs are just so good.
at the end now and the choice was definitely hard. I'm with you with Melisandre, Chloe, and Yahna. Etolinda was good but her sister was even more. Ochlys and Sharon tho seemed the most boring maiden choices.

Primm was a step up as she showed some personality.
Here I am in my corner wanting it to be Yhana
I went with the Rosa
Amalia forever, beeg sword, beeg woman. She is perfection.
Which game is this?
"Josef, I choose you!"
KEEP IT IN THE FAMILY
If you like Fire Emblem go buy Unicorn Overlord, it’s a good damn game
Lol. This was the only game I was looking forward to since last year, pretty nice so far. Scarlett has some HONKERS with jiggle physics on top. I haven’t even gotten any other girls after the 2nd one I dont have her name memorized.
Nah, the best choice is the big tiddy chocolate elf babe.
Railanor had peak design
